"women liked him, and he like women very much. Especially beautiful women with well-proportioned teeth"
That and Czellnu made me lol. Nice history lesson ep.

I sort of felt a parallel between them and Yang's eventual entourage.

If LotGH were more popular, I bet Ashbey and his crew would have a spin-off series.

I'd watch it.

It does kind of seem like Ashbey is similar to Reinhard in that he gathered talented subordinates . . . However it's weird hearing about the heroes of the Alliance, when they really didn't change the war too much at all.

Uggh fuck this ep. Totally went against the principle of show not tell. Never did like the history episodes in the original series and I still don't like them in the prequels.

Pretty slow but rather informative episode, let's see what's next though.

Again, I feel like slowly getting to know background, that is good to enjoy the present time and also enterataining in a way. Memoirs can be a good read, but not everyone can write a good book of memoirs. They are also more entertaining, comparing to dry historical records and interpretations and it's a part of historian's work to research them, I wonder what this search is going to lead us to.

Definitely got a historian's flair to it, making a 'show not tell' blunder somewhat acceptable. I am always morbidly interested when the historian episodes run, it really helps expand and describe the LOGH universe, what it used to be like, what it is now and hints to where it may be leading. They are done so well despite taking place in a fictional setting, that it feels almost like an actual history documentary, which I also enjoy.

Is it biased, considering I will normally loathe this sort of thing in other series? Perhaps. I always found the history sections exploring the family lines of the House of Rohan, Gondor and Durin interesting in LOTR, so perhaps this is just something up my alley. In any case, a lot more enthralling then the investigative arcs in 'a hundred billion stars' series.

Watching this, now I really want a spin-off series of Mafia 730. It seems when the OVA was underway, we missed this dynamic group of individuals in lieu of the Lohengramm camp.

That Ashbey ha ha. If he lived in the same time as Bittenfeld ... would be fun to see them fight against each other.

Liked the history lesson.

You can definitely feel how much passion Yang has for history, and I think only a few are capable of doing this. 5/5

That water animation when Yang was pouring his tea was mystifying.

while this wasn't much "eventful" episode, it was very informative.
definitely this 730 mafia needs their own spin off lol

yang reactions to the information was nice xD
specially with all the "loving women" mention lol
