Interesting turn. This was a very good episode, maybe the best so far. I also liked that German song before the ED. Looking forward to more, the animation seems to improve too.

Actually I thought everything in this episode was resolved fairly quickly in the end but it was still a pretty good episode and I LOL'd at that scene with Allison & Wil in the bed. I also like that German song before the ED and the music seem to be the best aspect of this series so far. ^_^

Yeah, I think that the music and characters are the best aspects of this show too. The script is really average though, I expected much more coming from the author of Kino no Tabi, particularly after the fantastic first episode.

Hmm...I kind of expected that to happen when the villagers suddenly turned on Allison and Wil. I knew that it would have something to do with the royal family from the last episode.

Nevertheless it was an interesting episode.

Yup, interesting episode, nice song.. etc etc.. but what bothered me is how those villagers changed their mind so quickly.. in one scene they're all running around with firearms, wanting to kill all strangers.. and within 2min they're all uber friendly: "awww, but she's 20 already, and he's so famous!" .. meh, still a good show imo..

Well, it's been reaaaaaly quick for each story. They discovered the treasure and ended the war in 4 episodes. 2 episodes after that, the "hero" and Allison and Will made the hostile village turned good on them. I wonder what's the bigger picture here. How will Fiona's role will be of importance and who's this "Lillia" from the title.

so I guess the princess and Benedict are gonna end up together :). I like this non-existing romance drama. The story moves smoothly too.

And now it looks like 1 more epi till the royal family is restored. With a hero as the royal romantic interest.

This anime is actually based on two novels. Currently the story is revolving around Allison but about halfway it should switch to Lillia's story, who happens to be the brunette girl you see on the anime page. ^_^

I think they should have explain a little better why didn't the villagers wanted Fiona to know who she was and do what she wanted. and they changed their minds really fast

That's exactly what I thought, but maybe the next episode may shed some light on the background of the village. Though I really doubt that would happen. ^_^

thats how i felt also. but i am guessing they were doing it for her protection and to prevent any possible assassination attempts.

Bad episode. Only good thing was the sharing the bed thing and the song. It was lame and unconvincing. 2/5

Yeah, things went a bit too smoothly, but imo still a great ep. The bed scene was great, and they trying to escape camoufladging with the sheet was really funny. Hopefully well see a bit more of action in the next ep.

Decent episode, but hopefully this arc will either get more interesting or end as quickly as the first one did.

Once again, the OP/Ed is the best part of the episode. I really dislike how they try to have "dramatic" situations, but the resolution just ... happens. It's poor storytelling. And I don't like Allison or Will. This is going on hold until it's finished airing and I know where it's going to be overall quality-wise.

nice episode and some more german here ( the song at the end and a nice name for the capital too)
even through I didn't thought they would get out there this fast and without trouble.

Hmm. It was okay. Allison and Benedict are still the only characters I really like. Loved the song at the end, and some parts, but overall it was rather boring. The villagers changed their minds way too quickly. I understand perhaps trusting Benedict, but it's rather surprising they would allow their precious princess to go off with Allison and Wil, two strangers. Ah well. Since they were with Benedict, I suppose they thought it was okay. *shrugs*

The preview was amusing. :) Next episode looks pretty good.

it was really predictable. I can't tell whether the story is going too slow or too fast. I mean the whole show is based on two books? There has to be a lot they're cutting out, but at the same time the show is taken at a slowish pace.

either way, I love Alison and Benedict. I hope next episode is better.

Fiona is 20?! wow, I really didn't expect her to be that old.

Things definitely seemed like they went too easily, like when the gang was trying to get away with Fiona. The villagers, like, just let them go, which made it kinda lame.

They were dutch? I thought for sure it was Russia. Damn my geography sucks XD

I are still wondering who Lillia is...

anyway, I can see Benedict and Fiona happening and was hoping for Allison to make her confession too. But alas... escaping was the number 1 priority for this episode. *yawns*

Pretty sure it's based in a fictional land. Apply your own allegories, if you must. =)

Unconvincing storytelling? Somewhat! However, if you try to take it lightly, you will have a slice of fun. It isn't being thrown out for adults to slice it apart with their high-minded razors of logic.

More than that though, I wish this kind of thing were shown in America for kids, instead of the lame stuff that they're fed nowadays on broadcast stations.

i wasn't as surprised about the sudden turnaround as everyone else seems to be, but i didn't expect them to let her go without even a single person from the village. the whole place was created just to protect her and they aren't going to send her off with even a single bodyguard? that just makes no sense at all.

really loved the bit with the sheets ^^

agree with everyone else about the mediocrity of the plot, but i like the characters so i'll stick with it :)

There are moments in this show where the characters can be a little too smug for their own good. But the show's charm still holds, and after this episode I'm looking forward to following Fiona's arc.

Damn that sorry of an excuse for a man named William, can't even catch a rope.

--Honestly, how hard is it to lose someone on fresh snow *_*
--Pacifism likes to rear its ugly head in this show from time to time tho.
--The machine pistol was a nice touch tho.

A pretty good happenstance adventure starting to surface... Allison wins yet again. 4/5

Allison never misses an opportunity to jump into bed with Will. ;)
Your mean should be an even bell curve only if you watch every show that comes out. Having a high-slung mean doesn't mean you're rating improperly. It can also mean you're selecting shows well to watch mostly things you enjoy.

OOOH I was searching for a reason why the villagers took such drastic measures. I was chalking it up to lazy writing before in order to create the conflict.

Agreed, so far. If they maintain this light hearted tone and don't take themselves too seriously by thrusting the message in the audience's face or creating situations that are TOO dumb I'm willing to accept the gaps in logic. In 2021 I guess you can say the shows on average have a bit more complexity to them compared to in 2008 but you still won't find stuff like this with a slower pace, dialogue that doesn't try to be witty every line, and a more somber tone (even though the tone of this is still obviously sweet).

I wouldn't put too much faith in this show for the reason that the author also wrote Kino's Journey because the writing for that show isn't as good as everyone thinks it is. I do think I can place a bit of faith in this show because based on Kino's Journey I think the writer can at least pull off a pure, simple children's tale like this one without going anything too stupid. I mean, it seems sincere, at least.
