...Oh no.
The Scrappy rejoined the group.
I have a feeling that the next few episodes are going to be... mildly irritating.
ANYWAY
Jyaku-King is dead (I think?), the Queen has ridiculous amounts of power, and the Field of Light is back the way it was. I dun think we actually needed the confirmation that that Nagisa and Mepple actually are friends, but it's nice to have it.
Just my two cents.

Looks like Pretty Cure saved the Garden of Light, and everyone is going to relax for a bit.

But of course, the show ain't over yet. What other evil lurks around the corner?

Another great episode.
So Dark King is defeated though im pretty sure not dead. I guess the things that flew away from him while was Marble Screwed are gonna be important.

So, my prediction is that the plot is gonna be that a new group of generals want to revive the Dark King by assembling the parts of him or whatever that flew away when he died, and the cures have to stop them.

The ending farewell scene made me tear up a bit(though again, that is ridicolously easy to do). Nagisa and Mepple are so Tsundere for each other, its cute as hell ^^

Looking forward to the next Arc.

First, I'm not sure why it took this long for me to notice it, but Nagisa and Honoka only really have two special attacks. They're otherwise just fighting barehanded, which is actually quite hilarious seeing them punching and kicking Goliaths of darkness, particularly due to how the girls seem so much like they're just out for blood.

Second, a King of Darkness and a Queen of Light? What is this, Dissidia? It doesn't help that the Hill of Light looks like that the Cecil trial place from FFIV.

Third, I couldn't stop thinking about Gohan and Goku at the end of the Cell Games with regards to the last attack against the King of Darkness. The continuous parallels is amazing.

Lastly, during the last scene when Mepple showed up, I was actually chanting "SQUARE IN THE FOREHEAD! SQUARE IN THE FOREHEAD!" If I can praise Pretty Cure for anything, it doesn't disappoint. Everything is as expected, so at least functionally the show doesn't do anything wrong. I must question one thing though: why were Nagisa and Honoka angry at the King of Darkness for destroying its minion? Wasn't it about to potentially destroy the Prism Stones in addition to killing Wisdom as well as the girls themselves? Not sure how that was supposed to work out.

Huh. I'm kinda surprised they defeated the Big Bad mid-season. That's kinda unusual for mahou shoujo anime even though I've seen loosely analogous scenarios before.

To be honest, that was one of the least interesting finales I've seen in the genre, but it was okay.

I was wondering where the show would go from here, but DoctorD seems to be on the right track with whatever flew away from the Dark King when he was defeated probably being important going forward.

Pretty decent fight against the Dark King, I would be lying if I said that I found great, especially compared to other Precure I watched up to this point, but this is halfway through the season so who knows if he will be back for a stronger fight.

The second half of S1 is starting, curious to see more about the new villains waiting for us!

And that's Futari wa Precure! Pretty good show, I liked i-WAIT THERE'S MORE?!?!

Why? Not saying I don't want more, but this was a proper conclusion with everything resolved. If has that exact same tone as your typical final animu episode. Then there's an episode preview.

As for the episode itself, whoa Dark King, killing Irukubo like that without a second thought. Maybe if he hadn't killed him they could've survived the attack. But oh well... Also the queen still looks horrible.

I think the PreCure's think of Ilkubo as a friend of the King of Darkness, instead of a minion. And therefore killing him is totally out of line. They would never kill one of their own.
