Any concrete issues with the dub?
| @Chardin23 It's been years since I watched an English dub, but this is a shame. In my opinion, it sounds like the VAs unlearned voice acting and took tranquilizers before recording. Why Max doesn't have the Japanese audio is beyond me, just a bad decision. |

| Max and Hulu/Disney have got to be the worst platforms to officially license and stream seasonally airing anime. They just have no clue what audiences expect. It shouldn't be that difficult to understand, even Netflix gets it right. Japanese audio + english subtitles that are not the dub script + no closed captioning. |

Dub means voices are added over a product that already fully existed in another language and they have to try to match their poorly translated localized lines to the lip flap that was already animated with the original version in mind. Japanese voices for anime are fully acted out and recorded (with the actors together in The same room) before animation is done to match the actors speech. So don’t call it a “Japanese dub” because that is not a real thing, because the Japanese version is not dubbed over, it’s the original audio. |
