We all know Bleach got rushed near the end and the new anime is adding new scenes, fixing pacing, presumably rewriting the whole ending fight and epilogue.

Because Kubo got ill.

Seems to be the same case with JJK, GeGe is ill and just rushed the hell out of the last dozen chapters.

One can only hope. Honestly, I just hope they give Gojo a proper burial scene.

They completely revamped the Sukuna vs Mahoraga fight so I can see many moments being revamped

I'll count on atmost, resolving a few, but not all hanging threads like whatever miwa was up to in the culling game

I don't think there's been any news on gege being given an "end this manga within x amount of chapters" like what I've heard about bleach, so authorial intent insofar seems to view the current ending as satisfactory

The problem was that Kubo was forced to rush the ending of Bleach. Now that the Tybw arc is airing, he himself is involved in fixing his problems. I don't think Gege was forced to rush that atrocious Gojo scene and whatever happened later on.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Yes let’s make gojo the only character in jjk to get a burial. SIKE

I think part of why they got to tweak Bleach is it's been almost 10 years since it ended so they have to entice an older fanbase. JJK, like BnHA, probably won't see that level of tweaking because it's not even been a year, so most fans are still invested. Which is a shame because it'd be nice to see them fix the wonkiness

Jjk ending wasn't bad imo (standard shonen ending to a standard shonen) , everything leading up to it was just rushed. If we got maybe 5-15 more chapters to flesh things out we would have been fine.

I feel like most recent anime adaptions have been pretty good about pacing and explaining details

TYBW was received very poorly when it was being released. Ranking near the bottom of Jump TOC almost weekly. I personally do not think the anime has "fixed" the issues with the arc. I have not read JJK so I do not know what issues would need to be fixed.

@FZREMAKE He was forced to rush the ending because the entire arc was trash. It was ranking below 20 for over a year in Jump before they finally said enough is enough. If you were reading weekly back, then you would understand it was painful.

@logic340 I mean I meant the anime as a whole, but yeah reading the TYBW weekly (which is already the worst way to read a manga) wasn't the best

Troll? Anyway, I'm not going to bother discussing this with someone who has a prejudiced, negative opinion. Your bullshit doesn’t change the fact that the TYBW in the anime form was a successful adaptation and is one of the best anime of all time. Up to the third cour, there are no issues - unless you're nitpicking minor details that can easily be explained just because you fail to comprehend something in the story. But I won't bother with that, not with someone who has that attitude. I'm tired of it. Just know that you're wrong. TYBW in the manga, especially the first half, was great. Cour 1 was top 1 on MAL for around 6 months for a reason—until it got review-bombed. The second half of this arc in the manga had problems. Maybe it had worse sales, but sales numbers/popularity =/= quality. That’s it from me.

they'll obviously add some padding into the anime, but I wouldn't expect anything major like more flashbacks or scenes of characters we didn't see much in the end of the manga

@logic340 Quite possibly the best arc in bleach and you call it trash. The anime adaptation is one of the best received anime adaptation right now. It wouldn't be if it were trash.

Let’s be real without any nostalgic bias… the first stretch of bleach was not as good as the first two season of JJK

bleach scenario was very different, kubo's health was drastically getting worse so that's why bleach manga ending was rushed unlike jjk.in an interview gege mentioned that he always wanted to end jjk like that.

@FZREMAKE the rescue is probably the best arc in Bleach had it ended there I would have given bleach a 10/10. Some of that reception is due to nostalgia imho.

@18927 I'm not going to discuss with you...proceeds to write a short story. Anyway I'm not trolling and I'm not the only one who feels this was a bad arc. I will say I was a bit harsh on saying the entire arc was trash as Everthing but the Rain was actually some of the best Bleach, and certainly the beat we had in a long time. I'd dare it's what carried cour 1 while unable to do the same for what came after. TYBW was ranked horribly in TOC it's not trilling when the data backs up what I'm saying. Cour 3 had dropped significantly since it made it through the nostalgia wave dropping past the 50s and continues it's descent.

Lastly, you're the one brining their attitude to this "discussion" I gave my option to the question asked I wasn't rude to you or anyone else here. You're the one calling people trolls and talking shit. Whoever hurt you wasn't me you'd do good to remember that the next time you washout at someone on the internet when they have a different opinion than your own. I'll end thing here. I hope whatever issues you have resolved, stay blessed.

Even if they try to fix the pacing and give the fights a reason, There are Too many loose ends. All the build up, foreshadowing, character development were for Nothing. Literary in Culling game there are so damn many Plot Holes, I Highly Doubt the anime gonna fix it.

In my Opinion, even if the studio tries, completely fixing it? It ain't happening.

@logic340 don't you know that it's against the law to say anything bad about the overrated anime that used to be number 1 mal at one time! you're not allowed to have a negative opinion because it was ranked number 1 on a random site! it's not like the manga is ranked lower than 1000 on the same site!

lol yeah bleach meatriders get really sensitive ever since 2022 when they came out of their caves again. shouldn't bother responding to such a goofy fanbase that thinks being ranked 1 on mal is more important than manga sales- something that actually helps support the creators/industry lmao.

@logic340 Soul society arc was better. Aizen's defeat never actually felt right to me so I am glad it continued. So many Bankai reveals and quincy lore drop was missing before tybw arc.

I believe there is a fair chance that the anime will have some changes. unlike most other manga that have somewhat unsatisfactory endings, most of the jjk fandom literally hated the ending. And it doesn't help that it has been heavily spoiled as well. also ; if MAPPA or gege sensei reveal that they are changing it up for the final arc; it's a great marketing move to bring back people who might otherwise skip it

They need to at the very least, if not for anything else but milking the fandom, give us an extended epilogue that ties up some loose ends. And I don't mean the short epilogue with Panda, Uraume, and Ozawa (though that can be a smaller part of it too).

Hopefully we get more than a couple episodes with no battles or fighting, but just post-Sukuna where we see things like Jujutsu Society, the rebuilding of the Zenin and Gojo clans, and how the public is going to deal with the aftermath of the Culling games (and the US Government abductions).

Not everything, but I feel like stuff like Hakari vs Urame will get fixed with more screen time. They already kinda foxed stuff already, like showing the care holder of Riko getting rescued in Hidden Inventory arc of anime

To do so they would need to remake the last arc from scratch, because after the Gojo x Sukuna fight (which, even if you disagree with the outcome, was very interesting) is just bad. It's repetitive, one guy shows up, Sukuna doesn't care, he shows a tiny bit of the so-called "✨ potential ✨", Sukuna gets slightly interested and then one tap that person, repeated like 10 times. Bleach had a margin to improve, because the final arc had a good foundation with a few holes that the Kubo is fulfilling. Gege would need to rebuild the whole house.

No chance

Bleach situation is unique, because Kubo rushed the whole thing and was given a chance to redeem himself

JJK is broken beyond any saving, you basically to rewrite the whole damn thing for it to make even slightest sense. Animators are NOT doing that. The very best they can do is try to animate it as beautifully as possible + cut off all Gege's annoying overexplanation
