One month time skip and they're dealing with familars. What a development.

More info dump in this show and we got some explaining elements. Grace is still doing what she does best so not much has yet changed about her. I do find the real life conversations with Grenat much more curious. They should do more of these real life segments.

Weekly dose of my queen Grace!

AHH I KNEW IT. So it is gonna be a tsunliese situation where the daughter is playing the game while the dad is in there. He's not dead, just in a coma.. that means that this will likely be used as a chance for him to grow, Hinako to realize how precious her dad is to her and bond with the mom, then him coming back to reality at the end. I fucking lost it when the mom wasn't even surprised by him getting isekai'd, she just starts fangirling and talking about the origins of the genre lmao. I love an otaku family. This just continues to climb the best otome ever list lol. Certainly one of the best families.

“Nobody should care what beast I summon” *everyone speculates* and gets surprised lmao. Of course Grace gets an ancient dragon.

The fact Hinako can actually directly help out in the game is also very reminiscent of Tsunliese. I wonder how they’ll use that going forward! Such a fun episode, these go by in like 5 minutes I swear like how tf was that 24 mins!

We knew something special would be summoned but it was more interesting than expected and we learned a few new things.
The main still being alive is one thing and a new situation in the mains home.
I guess the family being able to watch what's going on, hopefully they enjoy Grace route as much as we do.

Just when I'm beginning to get bored, this anime throws an unexpected surprise at me, it's not to be underestimated at all!

The mother somehow get the reference to isekai precursors right, it's a well-researched dialogue, I'm impressed!

The dragon is quite symbolic, fire and water are opposite elements, just like Kenzaburou and the original Grace Auvergne.

This anime is definitely not a one-trick pony anymore.

That's a nice twist. Now atleast there's a way he can go back to his family. And what an awesome family all of them...

This episode definitely sold, this is going to be different type of villainess from other one and just not by gimmick.

oh so he actually went inside the game not just a world thats like the game.
reminds me of that one where two main characters could talk to the villainness in the game and they did like a sports commentary of it.
the big difference is that this show actually is good :D

Absolute peak. I saw this coming, and it makes total sense why Hinako and her mom are in the OP and ED watching everything unfold on TV. Anyone would freak out if they found out their comatose relative was now inside a video game—well, except for otakus.

What I didn’t fully get, though, is whether Hinako is actually controlling things or if she’s just watching the story play out and occasionally influencing what Kenzaburou experiences in the game.

@Narizor She's not controlling, it's true Visual Novel style as in just pressing a button to continue reading the story. The summoning was the first interactive element where she could actually make a choice instead of just following the story along

What a peak anime
It's totally different from what we've got in the villainess genre !

The story is fantastic and now the family can even interact with each other in certain situations ... Perfection

Definitely the best hidden gem in a while!

The story is mostly ridiculous, but I like ridiculous things and that's why I like exaggerated things, I might have fallen in love with Lady Grace if there wasn't a 52 year old man behind it.

Some interesting explanations about the workings of magic in this world.
A pretty wild, or 'out of this world' I dare to say, summoning for Grace.
And an absolutely genius way to make the two worlds (ours and the video game one) interact.
Glad to learn the MC is still alive, can apparently be saved, and to see his family taking the spotlight for once (also, making them see all the ridiculous things he has said and done so far was an incredibly funny idea).

Easily my favorite episode so far, fantastic writing and inventivity, plus some hilarious ideas and one-liners :)

Yo, loved the episode. I think this is the first isekai anime i ever watch that the real world actually has an effect on the fantasy world. Was shocked when Hinako's arms actually dove into the TV combining both dolls into a beast. Excited to see how this turns out and how the series would conclude as well!

MC is literally Isekai Ojisan, just as a responsible adult in an otome game instead of a generic medieval-fantasy world!

Also, the mother is an amazing Otaku! Within the sea of Isekai, she emerges and professionally lists out plenty of old-school isekai like Twelve Kingdoms and Seisenshi Dunbine.

Potentially the greatest instance of this trope I've ever seen, seriously a hilarious approach and covers the would be plot holes between the two worlds. What a fun and refreshing take on the "otome game villainess isekai" trope. This is probably going to be my highest score this season and in a while tbh.

The irl x isekai game interaction isn't something new but I really wasn't expecting this development to happen for this series πŸ˜‚
At first before I saw promotions of this show I thought it was gonna be neat but at the same time okay similar to other shows of a character isekai'ing as a villianess in an otome game but I'm legit thinking this actually may be my most favourite anime this season

Mum is an encyclopaedia of otaku-knowledge I am pretty sure the only thing she mentioned I know of is "Fushigi Yuugi" and "The Chronicles of Narnia" πŸ˜‚
Really excited to know how they will help the dad on a new journey of the game and what's to come!

That was some plot twist. Kenzaburou is alive, but his consciousness has been isekai'ed to the game world and can be seen by his daughter and wife.

Speaking of his wife, I love how they bleeped the old-school isekai:

1. Neverending Story

2. The Chronicles of Narnia

3. Twelve Kingdoms

4. Fushigi Yuugi

Those are some of the titles I caught up but missed others.

Love it when a guess turns out to be almost spot-on. I guessed early-on that Hinako was playing as Anna. I wasn’t far-off as she is actually following the game from her dad’s pov.

Also, shoutout to the wife/mom being an 80s isekai freakπŸ˜†πŸ˜†. Not my favorite genre, but I respect her passion. Also, holybleep those were a lot of references.

I was just wondering what was going on with his family and now my questions have been answered I am also happy he is not dead. I love that his family knows about him being in the game and is watching it all play out and cringing about his choices 🀣. The fact that the family gets to make choices for him in the game is a fun new aspect.
