Just as the title says and there wasn't a discussion related to this so I made one, I know that manga readers will know which chapters I'm talking about.I may right small spoilers by mistake ahead so read at your own risk
The studio seems to doing a decent job adapting the manga and I know that the studio can make some adjustment compare to the manga, the first chapter was adapted well in the first episode but the second episode was started directly from chapter 4, it's not like chapter 2 or 3 will give a huge impact on the story and they are maybe similar to side stories but definitely there was some nice moments for me that I'm looking forward to seeing in the anime....and I think even spy x family doesn't skip these type of Stories right?

Or do you think that they will adapt it by adjusting them in the future episodes? Cause a little scene which is important adapted in the episode 2 so that's why I'm asking.....

Do you see any inconsistency in this page?

We see a huge panel of the officer without blindfold, and suddenly she's blindfolded in the last panel. I mean, its easy to just assume, the thugs blindfolded her between the panels, or for the adaptation to correct them, but I found similar inconsistencies in Shin's character trait in chapter 2.

Like Shin able to read Taro's mind when they were too far apart, but him commenting not able to read the latters mind in the first chapter during their engagement... etc!!

To me, inconsistencies in the first few chapters of manga are forgivable because the author is still experimenting with how they want it to be. But if the same is adapted in anime without corrections, thats a big red flag, because they have all the details from future chapters to make the corrections, or to skip them altogether.... And I think the studio just chose the latter, rather than making changes and fucking stuff up more in that process. Lazy, but smart move!!

Well its kinda deus ex machina but you could say that when Sakamoto is ''serious'' or fighting, he can hide his thoughts since fighting/killing was his habit and can do it without much thinking.

dude said he didnt want to do this but since she saw the goods he decided to blindfold her(yea, too late, right?).

If you see properly in second last panel, we see someone's hands while they tie her eyes. She reacts with a [!] showing that a character from behind suddenly brought the cloth and tied up her eyes. It works out well enough and skipping out the introduction of an entire character is not a smart move so I hope they do something about it in the next few episodes

They won’t adapt it, will they skip other content? Most likely unfortunately.

Can't you just take it for what it is, tho?

There is the manga.
The Manga will still exist no matter what. You like it? Great, it's still available

and then

There's the Anime
The Anime is not the Manga. It's a bit different. There might be scenes added or missing, but hey, it's animated, got a soundtrack and voice acting.

I was actually worried about the pacing of the anime knowing that the first few chapters have a lot of unnecessary content so it is good to know they are cutting some of that to get to the good part of the manga sooner

hmm...i did think this would happen since the manga has alot of content and man chapter, are like 2 and 3. since episode 2 started with chapter 4, I'm guessing this might happen in the future episodes too. I don't think Sakamoto, if it's truly adapted as the manga, can be your average 24 min per episode show. it has alot happening. and with the way chapters end, I'm curious how they'll have that cliffhanger ending after each episode. lol I dont know if I explained myself clearly or not.

@V1P3R0P Can't you see the thug's hands tying the blindfold on the officer?

For the other points, you are right.

Maybe I phrased it poorly. She's blindfolded in the 2nd last panel by that thug, yeah. But why was it done so late?
Thats what I'm trying to understand. I did point that someone blindfolds her between the panels for no reason. But again, why so late in the scene? They could've just blindfolded her when they tied her up. That part felt poorly executed to me.

Also, another thing from the same chapter. Shin is on top of a telephone pole and scanning the entire city to find out where the officer is? How does that work?

@V1P3R0P I haven't read the manga past chapter 4, so I have no idea, if it is explained in the story later, or not.

Policewoman won't appear in the anime, her introduction was skipped and she won't appear after that anyway.

Pacing for episode 1 and 2 were solid. If they keep this up, I'll be pleased.

Every manga has some scenes that don't really need to be adapted. Bus scene was definitely cool, but you gotta remember that if they take the time to animate something, it's going to have to be properly fleshed out so people understand. Episode 2 is supposed to be about Lu, with a little of Sakamoto's backstory. We already got the main cast in the first two episodes which is pretty good imo

The skipping of police officer lady makes sense seeing by cutting that entire part out, they have less stuff to keep in the anime and get to build hype for slim sakamoto during the hard boiled fight. The bus highjacking however shouldn't have been skipped. We get to see Aoi actually regret being so harsh on sakamoto and her knowing that sakamoto would protect her showing that they have a loving relationship. By skipping the highjacking and just shoehorning in that flashback, Aoi in the anime comes off as harsh and sterner compared to the manga. Really hope they don't skip any more chapters from here on out (although I have a sinking feeling that bathhouse is going to be entirely skipped. I really hope it doesn't.)

Its the same question as to why the villain in every story tell their evil schemes or something like that. They are depicted as dumb bad guys, end of it, you dont need to ponder on such minor things.

i'm actually kinda glad. i reread the manga recently and all the episodic stuff before the main story kicked off was pretty hit or miss, deathrow prisoners arc is where i really started enjoying it and that's where all the important stuff starts so i don't mind them skipping stuff until then. the episodic stuff can treated as bonus content for manga readers.
