Organ deserves better this season...but hey, she should've probably been more prepared too.

The battling and slimish fan service aside, it didn't feel much different from other episodes tbh. I guess they also didn't want to really give Hakuto any weakness in his run in the show.

I have even more questions than at the end of season 1, but even if there's season 3 it's gonna make me question even more.

What the heck was that in the end? A millennia and someone clearly from the game he isekai'd into. I wish I paid more attention to the series to draw something out of, but I'm amazed I imagined to make it through to the end of this. It's so easy watching a trashy show sometimes, xD.

It was nice to see that the horrible father got what he deserved, and in what grand fashion that was! In front of a packed stadium at that, lol. He's got a child with a loving mother if ever he wishes now, that ought to be nice, no? I usually always love KenTsuda-san's performances but there was something about his soft voice here that just didn't seem to fit the character, which I suppose was the intentional in the first place, but still left more to be desired, imo.

Decent theme songs and watch-ish-able content. Still would've preferred a sequel of the first season and not a different whole adaption with worse production values but oh well, it is what it is. 4/10 from here.

@MegamiRem Pretty sure I lost interest around that time and it just ended up being background ever since...

Now that things are over, what happened between season 1 and season 2? The art style went to rock bottom. Our MC looks terrible now. Ok storyline, but disappointing art style.

Hakuto used his vampire form which looked super cool. Organ is saved and the goldie dead. One more girl added to the harem with now Organ wanting his child. Akane yandere mode was lit. Also interesting post credit scene.

Enjoyed watching more from this as it stands unique from other animes of this kind. This season had a lot of fun stuff but unfortunately the adaptation was whatever. Even worse than s1 and s1 was already bad enough lol.

This is a sequel though and not a different whole adaptation in anyway. Like I have no idea how people can watch this whole season and say this is not. I understand people getting confused at the begining of the season as they were doing recaps of sort but not now.

This was probably the best episode of the lot and that's being generous. I thought early on when it was already shaping up to be ass with the terrible animation and art style that it would at least be more tolerable when Organ returned and Akane arrived but then the constant deviations and dropped context started ramping up. The absolute travesties though were the Guns of Babylon scene and Akane's assault on the slave camp. It's really saying something when the unmoving images of a manga's panels have more life to them than still frames of an "animation". Not to mention the absurdity of the toned down violence. On top of that they ruined Akane's design for the sake of cheap fan-service. It all feels like a spit in Minotake's face.

Credit where credit is due. As I said before, the best looking part of the show is the ED.

I view this as an abject failure and it falls squarely at the feet of Koga and Takayama.

The quality of art style kinda messed up, it's really painful, although the storyline is soso, nothing special on the last episode, terrible quality on art style, hope there will be S3 and shold've improve the quality.

Ending gave a mysterious twist, "My Lucifer" say what?

I can't connect any concept, only left with the question "how, what and where" - Let's hope if this gets a season 3 and reveals a little more. But Akane leaving on a journey surely has something to do with it..........

Thankfully Kunai came quick enough to save Organ.
That was an awesome beatdown he gave Belphegor.
I had a feeling for a while that Organ had feelings for Kunai but Mink wasn't having any of it.

I really enjoyed this series from start to finish, good mix of seriousness and comedy, Kunai was always awesome along with his friends.
9/10

I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

Errr, extremely mixed feelings throughout the whole season.

At first I thought it'd be a remake and the first episode seemed to prove me right, until the end. Made me happy to realize this anime was getting a second season 5 years after the first one aired. Due to its popularity this isn't something I had ever imagined (so many more populars / better made shows never received another season after all).

Rediscovering this universe was enjoyable but that lasted only for a short moment. The cheap animation and sounds took over very quickly, the story being completely unable to compensate.

Overall it just feels cheap, which is ironic since the first season from 2019 already felt cheap, yet enjoyable.

Well, I'll just be happy it had another season. Would I watch a third if we ever have one ? Yeah I think so. Is it going to happen ? Probably not but so did I think for this season.

Yeah Belphegor went down about as easily as I expected him to, can’t have any baddies showing up that can truly square off with Kunai too early in the story, although I don’t think the anime will be going past this point so it’s pretty much the end for us lol. Kunai did pull out a sick new form tho, I don’t think he has a right to call Mink an edgelord anymore with that look lol, not sure if he even really needed it but it was a flashy way to defeat this supreme asshole, he had a cool design but pretty much nothing else going for him to make him interesting so good riddance.

And we ended things on some silly bits between Kunai and his harem one last time, I think it’s safe to say Organ is part of it now with the children comment, and Akane just takes off getting into god knows what, and there was that slideshow showing the characters that we’ve come to know, including the ones that were absolutely shafted this season like Aku and Killer Queen, kinda sad but I get the story didn’t call for them. And lastly was that confusing after credits scene, yeah idk what to make of that and I doubt we’ll ever know in anime form, could be wrong tho.

And that was the chain smoker Isekai anime’s 2nd season/revamped manga adaptation, it was really cool finally getting this 5 years after the original show came out in Summer 2019, but unfortunately it didn’t really improve on it, really it was worse in some places lol. It did some things better tho, I personally like the character designs and art style more than Season 1, and the story was a bit better here too, it beats creating a hot spring village and trying to appease a fat rich woman lol. And much like the first season, the bad to average animation does kinda work well with the comedic nature of the show, it weirdly adds to it, but overall I’d say it is more of a negative than a positive for this season, I think with the nicer art style it’s not as funny when it looks bad, I’m more sad than anything lol. But even with my complaints I still had fun watching this and would like a 3rd season, I doubt it’ll happen tho lol, and honestly if it did I’d like for someone other than Gekkou to pick it up, I hate to say that because I really do love most of what they’ve made, but I think this was just slightly better than their summer show only because I like Demon Lord Retry as a series more, I really hope they can do something like my favorite shows by them again like “One-Hit Kill Sister” and “Temple”, or their spring show “Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again”, they can absolutely cook, they just didn’t with these last two shows.

And one last thing, OP and ED were both amazing, no qualms about those, although the ED’s art was one of those that looked so much better than the show that kinda makes you sad every time you watch it lol.

It seems that many people hate this season. For me I like this season more than the previous one.

The story is really interesting and they just keep getting better and made me curious in every episode.

Too bad Kunai haven't talk with the fox lady yet. I hope they make another season.

People be like: ep 2 was bad so imma pretend the whole anime is ep 2

Overall a good anime

Designs were a bit iffy compared to s1, basically a downgrade, but apparently s2's are more faithful to the source material.
So that's fine

Wow! This episode was surprisingly good. The beginning felt a bit rough, but it all came together nicely by the end. And now, we have an exciting new mystery—at the very end, the cute girl called Hakuto "Lucifer" and mentioned they had met a thousand years ago. Very intriguing!

The season's opening could have been handled much better. The first episode felt more like a remake than a proper sequel, which was frustrating. The redrawn characters, in particular, were disappointing, as the original season had done a far better job with their designs and execution.

That said, once the initial hiccups were out of the way, I started to appreciate this second season. If a third season maintains at least this level of quality—or, better yet, improves the quality and budget—I would gladly watch it. The cliffhanger at the end certainly sets the stage for a sequel, and I look forward to seeing where the story goes from here.

Yes, I agree with you.

The first two episodes felt more like a remake than a continuation, but after that, the series stayed consistent with the pacing and fan service we saw in Season 1.

The biggest issue is the new art style. Mikan, once drawn with a busty, voluptuous figure, now looks completely different, and Zero Kirishame appears washed up compared to his Season 1 design.

Despite these flaws, the season was still entertaining, and that cliffhanger has me excited for a possible Season 3.

well, that was a struggle to finish. but it is now over for me and here's hoping that if anything else happens in this franchise... it is 9,000,000% better than this piece of it. i'm being highly generous giving this Season an Average 5... because frankly... like Ex-ARM... this Season deserves a 1.

but in tiny bits and pieces the story was entertaining... like the Kunai and Belphegor fight here in ep12... the execution of said fight visually was a land-fill-fire... not a dumpster-fire... but the whole gdamn landfill that dumpster-fire was going to be dropped into.

when i watch bad art and craptastical animation like this, i'm reminded of 1986's advertising campaign for The California Rasins. stop-motion Claymation... that first TV commercial is now... approaching 40 years old... look it up on YouTube folks, the title is 'Late Show'. even with crappy resolution, not even 480p and formatted for Cathode Ray TV's under 30" diagonal... that commercial... and all the rest of them... movies... TV series... were better than 'Demon Lord, Retry! R'. the first Thundercats, He-Man, even the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon... better than this anime.

after this Season? if this franchise hasn't been beheaded, ash-wood stake shoved in its chest, arms and legs severed too, head limbs and body all interred in lead-lined boxes and buried at sea at six far-flung secret locations over all the salt-waters of Earth? i'll be utterly surprised.

i really enjoyed the 1st Season, it was entertaining, and enjoyable, and attractive. it wasn't perfect but it looked nice and a little bit above average.

ah well. too bad. onwards to the next Friday and Saturday episode.
just an ol school American otaku enjoyin the life. don't sass me kiddies, i've been otaku probably since before you were born. leave me in peace and i won't bother you either.

Organ's confrontation with her abusive father, he will absolutely delight in her misery, but she'll win the war thanks to Hakuto. Whatever that he has planned for his own daughter as a guinea pig, Hakuto is easily counter just about anything, and his NPCs will take care of the rest. Of course, what will it be if Hakuto didn't link his administrative duties and bring Organ's father into the big arena to face the true Demon Lord, and indeed he took him down in one fell swoop.

The one saving grace, however, is Organ finally being saved and set free from her other, though Mink quickly shuts her down into being part of his harem.

What a shit sequel. Made little to sense, and ultimately dropped the ball from the setting of its prequel.

@_MushiRock11_ @MegamiRem I have to agree lols. S2 is such a whack sequel that has a confusing start and an incomplete end, it doesn't even feel like one in and of itself.

Lol that final fight he had to change the world to make it at least a bit memorable ahaha well Organ is safe now and even wants Maou Sama's children so why not... no "to be continued" this time so I guess it's truly over, but I have no idea how they can make it look worse with another studio change anyway.

Even for the final episode of this 2nd season, they really outdid themselves—for not even upgrading the animation quality. How ridiculous... Annoyingly.
What's more, they omitted a lot of dialogues... Which is INSANE!
The very epic and cool ending that I was hoping for when Hakuto used his new skill of using that skill, it was not EPIC as the manga... Disappointingly.
I somehow enjoyed this sequel, but I mostly hated it for being born.
The animation and adaptation just didn't feel right, from start to finish.

TBH, Better stay and read the manga, this anime is a bust.
S1 and its manga was better in more ways than one, the S2's manga is great, but the S2 anime is just bad.

P.S. At the very least, there were a few characters that were animated correctly, I guess...?

The only redeeming qualities of this season: the theme songs, which are wasted on this season.
CrazyButNot4UDec 15, 11:02 AM
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Not sure what that was supposed to be at the end. I thought the real world stuff was a flashback but that scene on the roof made it look like a parallel or a future. Hopefully there is a third season were we get more answers.

Overall, I found this second season as interesting as first one. A lot of the comedy was a hit for me, and I really enjoyed the continuation of the adventure. The change in character design and art style wasn't bad imo, the characters looked cuter overall. The consistency of the animation was straight up terrible though. In a span of a few cuts they would go from cute looking to wtf ugly looking and back. It got ridiculously bad, especially during the fights. Kind of sad they treat this show this way.

Everything tanked in quality from the first season, which wasn't great by any means but amused me so I rated it a 6/10. Here the animation was bad, the music wasn't just terrible often music that didn't remotely match scenes it would be used for and would sometimes drown out dialogue. There was an almost circus sounding theme I especially hated. The action and fan service were tame and inept so I couldn't even enjoy that. The comedy seemed much louder, more madcap, and less funny this time around but maybe that's true to the source material I don't know.

It's too bad. This could've been fun in better hands.

4/10

I hope they retry the adaptation of the story from the beginning in 10+ years when the light novel has finally been completed. Second half of this season gets progressively worse with each episode; slide show battle scenes, scenes not making sense from one scene to another (an example is the episode where they went to trash the S*ave Market 2 with the monkeys. There was a scene where the monkeys were facing some demon in armor that seemed strong and in the next scene, that was totally skipped over, we never knew what happened with that)...

It feels like they thought this could even get a third season with all the plotlines left hanging and that ending, but I seriously doubt this will get another season. At least the first season had a consistent flow of the story. In comparison, the only positives about this season for me is the mildly entertaining overall story (but that doesn't have much to do with the anime since it is an adaptation after all)...

Wow... I was already almost convinced to give it 6/10, and then the last scene dropped... Ouch... That was so bad...
It will take many seasons to patch up all the lose ends. And the studio will never get budget for that. Clearly they already barely had money for season 2.
