The last of the assassins known as the Five Devils targeting the Aizu clan, Sosuke, was attempting to flee Kyoto, leaving his missing comrades behind.

The Miburo pursued Sosuke, and Nio challenged him to a life-or-death duel.

The Miburo successfully secured all the criminals! Hunted them down in a mere two days bringing them all to the lord himself. The Miburo showed how strong and reliable they really are. Formally being brought on to help the people and lordship of Aizu. Them rushing to the courtyard to show off their sword skills was funny. The lord seemed every entertained. Nio is a good kid going to lay respects to the fallen soldiers the criminals took out before the Miburo helped. Asking about them and wanting to thank the officer there for all the help. The Miburo have currently escalated their position in the city now, maybe not among the common folk but among the establishment and the nobility they will have prestige. The latter part of this episode was super weird with Nio helping the Miburo member Todo try to woo this girl who's a restaurant waitress. Terrible idea in the first place but even more so once Todo realizes she's got a boyfriend. Then he gets that awful haircut which just like some of the Miburo members when he gets back had me laughing.

Aetwork and animation plummetted this ep. It was already getting bad, but now it's looking like kid-vid. I've made it this far, so I'd like to finish this. But unless there is some drastic improvement, which I think might be unlikely at this point, I'll not make it to the end of the season.

Nio beat the guy with practice slashes, not much of an assassin.

This was such a chaotic episode especially the second half of the episode. Nio is not the best wingman but at least he tried lol (I mean he couldn't do anything since the other guy kept doing whatever he wanted lol)

The 5 Devils, down to 3, have a hard time staying alive no thanks to the Miburo driving to a corner and easily getting caught by them, and Nio challenging the last of them to make this a betting corner, him putting his swordsmanship to the test certainly qualifies him to be part of the Miburo, though he got too tense when handling when his wooden sword, which he has been training a lot thus far, to get Kondo's acknowledgement. All of the endeavor done in 2 days, that's the Miburo for you.

Matsudaira Katamori is pleased with the Miburo to officially bring them under the Aizu Domain, and they even put on a show of swordsmanship for him to celebrate the success of the mission. But for the fallen Aizu samurai, like Kushibe, with Fujita being left alive to speak of their endeavors, their deaths are not in vain in service to the Shogunate. And Todo wanting Nio's help...to earn himself a mistress, aside from the Miburo knowing how to joke with him, he missed the opportunities at every corner possible. The mistress that Todo was trying to hook up with...had herself a lover already, so no point chasing her, until a few ruffians tried to rile her, and that's the best of his efforts to win at love, even getting a haircut.

One thing's for sure, Kyoto is more peaceful with the Miburo around.
