| Man what a shit show of events. Poor Duke couldn't even get a happy ending with his 'wife.' Still curious where shape shifting came into play for the anime but I digress. Idk what the writers were cooking. What ever it was never make it again (with all due respect.) |

| 7, but only for the great opening and ending, character design, but the plot, it's too chaotic, it feels like 20+ episodes were drastically cut down to 13, but cut out the wrong ones, there's a hint of a second season, but I'm not sure there will be one. |
| Probably the worst mecha series I have ever seen. I refuse to believe that the people who brought us several Gundams, Code Geass, Cross Ange, Valvrave etc., have also created this shitshow. Or did they just give their name and have not actually worked a minute on this? |

| Great last episode to close the season and arc, and if you look after the ending, it seems like the beginning of a new danger and therefore a new arc and season. The anger of the pilot, Duke, for Rubina's death, makes Grendizer have enormous power, but it was out of control. In the end everything turned out well! 6/10 kekeke |

| That felt so rushed. The whole show did to be fair, although maybe if I’d seen the original the jumps would have felt less jarring (a bit like the Macross movie if you haven’t seen the original series). I’m guessing Rubina isn’t dead if Grendizer absorbed her. Maybe it will be a bit like Unit-1 in Evangelion having Shinji’s mother in there. I was quite amused how the characters and robots would suddenly have random new abilities. That’s kind of standard for old shows where the writers didn’t care about continuity or giving them a power that would have saved them in an earlier episode. So it felt quite authentic doing that (possibly just recreating how the original was?) I’d watch another series, I don’t know if we’ll get it or not. If some Oil Sheikh is funding it, then it may well happen! |
| Been interested in this franchise and was happy to see this get a reboot but seems like this was a rushed mess and a miss? Too bad but maybe I'll still give this a try if it gets sequel/full adaptation. |

You have to keep in mind this was studio Gaina's first or second anime series, and that this must've had a really small budget, even counting Saudi Arabia's money. Also do remember that studio Gaina has a really weird conception history with Gainax going under and whatnot, besides the corruption accusations floating around etc.. |
