 The Aniplex Online Fest 2024 event announced an original anime series titled Virgin Punk on Monday, revealing the production staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and the first promotional video. The first installment, Clockwork Girl, will premiere in Cine Libre Ikebukuro in Tokyo and Theater Umeda in Osaka in early Summer 2025.Yasuomi Umetsu, best known for creating A Kite (Kite) and Mezzo Forte, is credited as the original creator alongside animation studio Shaft. | Unfortunately there probably won't be any sex scenes in this. Still expecting some great action and hopefully some raunchy fanservice as par for course for any Umetsu directed anime. No expectations for this otherwise, anything would be a step up after Wizard Barristers tbh. |

| @RobertBobert While they say different stories that differ in terms of tone, I say yes, because Mezzo Forte OVA, in which one important character from A Kite appears, is a prequel to Mezzo DSA TV series. Therefore, it's safe to assume that these three shows belong to the same universe. You can also add Kite Liberator OVA, a sequel to A Kite, to this list as well. I wonder if Virgin Punk will have any connection to any of those works. Probably not, but who knows. I'd appreciate seeing a decent cameo of, in example, one of Mezzo DSA's characters, hehe. |
