Ye, the monster monkey was a mystery. Can't blame Yukiya for trying to know the truth considering what it did to his village.

Honestly feels like this show is hiding more hideous secrets. Such a cruel world they live in tbh.

Everybody in Yamauchi and those from the outer world that are connected with it will have much to overcome, and to solve rather cruel mysteries. I wonder if it is going to be animated (if it gets another season)...

Man these episodes have been incredible ever since we got back from the Olympic break, can’t believe there’s only 3 left 😭

I felt so bad for Yukiya the whole episode. We know how uncomfortable he gets about his position in the north being used, he had just kinda overcome that mental insecurity at the end of the first cour and accepted his place with the price and here it is being used again. Not to mention bro being sent on what very well could’ve been a suicide mission.

Was good seeing Masuho again, she looks so much more free and content being Hamayu’s lady in waiting than ever before. I love that for her!

I feel like Natsuka didn’t have shit planned out right at all for that meeting tho. Got there and Tobi instantly called the meeting off man I burst out 🤣 the underground don’t care about your titles or heritage man none of that means anything. Took a lot of courage from yukiya to prostrate himself before Tobi like that.. seems like King Saku is a much more reasonable person, but something is off about him.. if he survived the monkey pit then he must’ve made some agreement with them

Also, my theory about the “broken agreement” being related to Koume dad’s water peddling stuff ended up being right. So I’m guessing he was taking that sacred water that it looks like the monkeys protect… wild cliffhanger to leave off on how tf did the prince get down there undetected . And I need to learn the real story about the monkeys asap!

As much as both Natsuki and Rokon didn't want Wakamiya to go to the Underground, both the former and Yukiya will go in their stead instead, knowing the consequences it will bring.

Yukiya being dressed for the occasion whilst the monster monkeys continue their rampage, they have no time to waste going to the Ravine to meet the King of the Underground, Tobi, to negotiate terms. But as Rokon feared, not having Wakamiya down to the place just shows the carelessness of the trust between the Palace and the Underground which has held well for decades of trust. If Natsuka can't budge, only Yukiya will to keep his home of Taruhi safe and sound.

King Saku comes around to clear the misunderstanding, presenting a challenge to Yukiya before he can tell him the secret of the monkeys, to find some white shards from within. Needless to say, the existence of monkeys within is a given, and Wakamiya casually being in the cave to save Yukiya's skin, at's the least he could do to atone for his role.

Yukiya barely made it in within the halfway, will he get out all the same?

Another week of Yukiya being used as a chip in another High Stakes' Game. And a Life & Death test. But those monkeys are not Yeti sized!

Being a leader means being able to make a hard, controversial desicion and all of its burden, it's the sad fate of Golden Raven.

Ok what????? But at least Yukiya got saved by Wakamiya. Though idk how Wakamiya got there.

King Saku also still around somehow.

Also man Natsuka is so out of his depth here. Dude didn't have anything right.

I guess next episode we'll learn about the outside world maybe?

I picked this anime because it has a intersting looking style from the poster, and it became one of my favs of this season, loving it from chapter 1. Excited to see more even tho it's finishing already.

It was originally a novel series, but apparently also has a manga adaptation (or two different manga series related to it as adaptations of two different novels from the series - one which ran from 2018 - 2020, and another from 2020 - present).

Natsuka being ignored lol, Yukiya in suicide mission one time again. The monkey seem to have sympathy over their own kind so they are intelligent at least. It would be interesting if they can communicate

Strong episode focusing on Yukiya's character. Natsuka misjudged the underworld and it failed just like Rokon said it would. Seems like he knows King Saku so makes sense how he knew it would fail. The trial and the monkeys secretly living in that place, quite the mysterious reveal. Really wonder whats going on here. Also tf is Wakamiya doing there and how.
