| Ontan in a suit was something I didn't think I needed up until now lol. I sometimes forget these guys are basically if not adults. So was kinda surprised when they went to the bar but then it hit me that they're in fact adults. Journalist dude looks and seems to be someone important considering the fact he knows something's going to happen down in Tokyo any day now. Was nice to see that Kadode and sensei's relationship is having some progress. Mr. Ikemen alien is back... for better or for worse, because we have FULL confirmation now that he is indeed an alien. And that entire final part of the episode... what the actual fuck Kenichi. The whole 'fOr kIhO'S SaKe" bs... ffs. New ED as well (shit bangs) now that we are officially halfway through the show. |

| The ending was quite brutal there once again with the three people once again just brutally taking their anger out on the aliens, even though the government itself is responsible for this utter mess happening and for the death of Kenichi's girlfriend there. The fact that the aliens were feeling humanized too and the humans looked once again like the bad guys in this situation is a direction seen before, but still well executed to still be interesting here. You can just feel it in the air with this series that Tokyo and the whole world is ready to explode here with the humans and the governments getting their comeuppance. The episode also shows characters we are familiar with growing up in ways (besides maybe Ouran) as they are now university students, hitting bars and even independently doing their own things a little more as well as they continue to grow. Also got Futaba and Makoto introduced directly to the group itself and Kadode and Futaba hit it off well as friends alongside Ouran and Makoto towards the end. It was a pretty solid episode with an interesting end once again. I'm not a fan of Inio Asano's manga in general whatsoever but if there was one to get an anime, glad that it was this one since it continues to show why I found this to be the only decent work of his. Hopefully the ending can translate better here in the anime compared to how the manga's ending went from what I can recall since I've genuinely been liking this anime for the most part. ED was fine. The song was better in the first one but the visuals were as good in this one. Glad no opening changes took place, not needed. |
| Why does Kadode keep hanging out with the grooming teacher 😭 that aside, another really good episode, feels so weird seeing the girls entering uni and kinda finding out who they are as people. Just a few eps ago they were hs kids goofing off and now life’s coming at them fast. Ontan, Kadode and newcomers Makoto and Futaba are joining clubs, going out drinking, etc. As usual the series does a good job of balancing the coming of age story within the context of the whole alien invasion plot line . Just a huge ominous feeling hanging over the entire episode culminating in the brutal scene of Kenichi killing the invaders. Honestly didn’t think he had that type of thing in him, but losing Kiho and at least what he deems to be the government’s inadequate response to the invasion has clearly taken a toll on him. All the 8 chan reading finally broke him. It’s even more messed up after hearing the invaders conversations, they just want to live in peace and be with their families like any of the humans. Just feels like any day now the invaders are going to strike back and after seeing how civilians and military have killed them in cold blood, can’t really say they’re in the wrong. |

| Right, there are two Makotos that dress as girls in one season. I found the full version of the ending while searching for the other songs on Spotify, so I heard the full version before this one. It's the most typical one out of the three songs so far but also the one I prefer the most, the visuals sure are trippy. I don't think much happened in this episode, and the romance with sensei plotline sucks, but it's nice to see other secondary characters appearing and slowly connecting with the main characters and making a proper whole story, and the ending of the episode was great. Why do the aliens have Japanese names though? |

| Very brutal ending. These aliens seem more human than the humans themselves, ironically. So, if I got it right, they came to colonize Earth for some reason and, as the alien mentioned in the previous episode, were unaware of the humans presence, which led to this situation. However, this doesn’t seem to explain their approach. Btw, I’m glad that Makoto and Futaba are alive. |

| Their first day at college with new encounters with the two previously shown characters. Was interesting to know more about them. Most of the characters shown so far are connected one way or another. Like the girl working for the weapon project was sensei's girlfriend. We did see her sleeping in sensei's place back when Kiho died but I didn't recognise her properly. Talking about sensei, the date with Kadode was surprisingly wholesome, Kadode can be so adorable. Ontan met the alien again and yep lol nothing suspicious for sure. Once again ending with another gruesome scene, Kiho's ex is upto no good. Those two aliens finally reunited too, the horror. |

| New ED. So one of the vigilante is the ex- of Kadode's dead friend. The aliens must have been stranded and need SOS from their home planet. Weird that they have Japanese names. When the destruction of Aug 31st happened, it was mentioned that it was man-made. What if instead of aliens fighting back, any destruction from Aug 32nd must be man-made as well. So Sensei's GF works at the defence company. |
