NOTE: HIDIVE's streaming for the episode today is delayed until 9:30PM ET / 01:30AM UTC https://twitter.com/HIDIVEofficial/status/1806765034002936224 Shiho's past at last. Yeah I think it's for the better that this will go on break after this. Holy fuck did the faces and heads look rough this episode. That aside, man what the fuck. Why did my cute yuri just go a 180 and go full depressed mode. Still though, even if it's touching, I can't sympathize with Shiho. She made the same mistake by quitting the band again. Shiho just seem heartless and hasn't learned anything. She only hurt herself and her old bandmates. But I gotta say, for how much of an annoying fuck Shiho can be sometimes, she really does save and carry this show because of how interesting she as a character is. But that entire final segment really changed my perspective on why Shiho is so annoying sometimes and for once, made me sympathize with her. Like imagine having an unrequited love towards someone who also has an unrequited love. Fuck man. For a yuri this really hits your heartstrings hard. What a place to leave things on. Making us wait who knows how long to see this resolve. Wish the team the best. |

So much drama. Shiho is the star of the show in both good and bad ways. And back to hiatus again. :P I hope it won't take too long, because I'm really looking forward to see how things will develop from here. |

Shiho's past, and where Laureley was first birthed: Kyou Amasawa, whom she gave her hope to become a professional violinist, only to give it all away as she picks up guitar as a respite over being jealous of her. And time after time, Kyou's grave has always been her avenue to rant her feelings, both good and bad. And it's there that she is joined by Kyou's club Senpais Momoka and Hajime, who wishes for her not to stop playing music due to its free-spiritedness, despite going on to become cursed by the expectations of reality through both music and other people to falter behind. And it's this fight for a lost loved one that the 3 girls are where they are now. Himari's date with Yori to link things up, there is still some confusion over how Laureley got to this state, but it's very clear that Shiho still has harboured feelings for Aki, and that love got unrequited as she looks to Yori. All she did to try and impress Aki because she's clearly in love with her, but it truly as a topsy-turvy series of events that made her suppress her feelings a lot. Man, Shiho's an enigma in all sorts of ways. By the way, manga readers should know that the anime skipped a portion of the manga. A long hiatus this show is a curse... |

I loved the episode, but **really disappointed** if it means they're dropping ch 30-32 - which they recorded as a voice comic (that's great too!), instead: https://youtu.be/vJBzxgqTPY0?si=9YQnZIEjXefwCW0M) Those are my favorite chapters in the entire manga, and such a huge part of what makes it special, imo thought the animation was on point, and a definite improvement from previous episodes |

The truth come out, does Shiho is gay? Lol, not sure how many will get that reference but it was the first thing I thought of upon starting this post, and that’s because of the reveal that the reason Shiho quit the band was because she was in love with Aki, and Yori put a wrench in that future, Aki was very down bad if the hand thing tells us anything lol. Shiho was very down bad herself tho, that was enough to completely mess things up and even now with Kino bringing it up she can’t handle it, I’m definitely interested in how things develop from here. And there was also the entire first half of the episode showing the origin of Lorelei, and wow it actually did involve someone dying lol, but damn I didn’t expect it to be Kyou, now everything with Shiho is starting to make sense. And the way this connected the band was Momoka being Kyou’s girlfriend and Hajime being Kyou’s sister, two others that were hit very hard by her death, a very sad thing that brought them all together but I’m glad they turned it into something great. And damn, I guess since we still don’t know when the last two episodes are coming, we might be waiting a while again. Oh well, there are at least new summer shows starting to make it hurt less that we gotta wait again lol, I will be there when we get them tho. |

I have read these chapters. They are important to the story, but just because they weren’t filmed doesn’t mean we won’t be shown that story in Season 2 (which most likely won’t happen). I think due to the anime's production issues, they decided to focus on this particular arc. |

As upset as I am with the delays, I feel like they really delivered with this episode. I was tearing up throughout. At this point I am way more invested into Aki and Shiho than the main ship, I want them to at least be friends together in the end (if not a couple) Hopefully the delay isn't too long like with 86 part 2 or Nier. |

Dam at the rate this is going it will adapt past we’re I’ve read, I read the books not the chapters online were the online chapters are a lot further ahead. Kinda sucks but there really skipping a lot of Yori and Hima moments to cram Shiho’s story into the season. It don’t make the anime bad or anything it just kinda lessens the development between them. Before the show started I predicted they would end on volume 6’s end with the festival and not entirely adapt Shiho’s story. But I seem to be wrong. Didn’t see any issues with the production this episode but unless it’s genuinely trash I never tend to notice or get mad over that stuff. This episode proved why Shiho is imo the best character in the show, she’s very well written and her band being so much more passionate and having something that drives them instead of just “fun” makes them a lot more appealing to route for. |

And now the plot thickens. The first part, though emotive, felt a little bit slow paced. Then the second part, when Shiho remembered how she fell in love with Aki, exploded. Now everything makes sense. |

OK, I get it. I ended up reading the manga all the way to the current chapter and I get it. It's not the best thing ever, but I definitely understand the source readers frustration, far more structured and I actually enjoyed Shiho's and Aki's relationship/drama in reading form, IMO, the best thing about this series. If the anime is a 4/10, the manga, personally, is about a 6 or 7/10. Can't say I really care much about the main two charas that much. |

Gosh, I wasn't expecting that first half of the episode at all, it hit right in the feels. Shiho and her new band backstories made me cry a little, gotta admit. The second part was a bit more lighthearted, even if bittersweet. I'm now firmly rooting for Shiho and Aki to end up together at some point! Guess we now figured out pretty much everything about why Shiho is the way she is, and it made her much more likeable in my eyes: this episode made me understand why she seems to get so much love and appreciation from manga readers. She quickly became one of the most interesting characters in a gl story I've ever seen :) Now the tough part: we have to wait to see what's next, and that's annoying because of how good this episode was! Probably my favorite episode in the series so far! |

Shiho might say that the weight is gone but it seems it only got heavier. Taking on someone else's desire that was never fulfilled and since they are gone you feel as though you have to strive for that for the both of you. Interesting character point. Thought she was only doing it out of spite at first but wow. This really deepens why she has such high standards. So when Momoka meant that she likes to make sweets for the one she loves, she was talking about leaving them at the Amasawa family grave for Kyou? All this time I thought that Momoka and Hajime were a thing. I can see why Momoka is kind of quiet and has her head down during this conversation. She probably feels as if she put more weight onto Shiho, Hajime and herself. It's definitely a curse of some sort. Makes sense that this is like a love square at the moment. Nonetheless, things are picking back up. Looking forward to the next episode. |

What an impactful plot twist with Shijo's backstory! The resentment she has accumulated from all these situations has shaped her personality, and I really sympathize with her for the suffering she's endured. Losing a friend and a first love in that way is not something easy to overcome or resolve. Now, with all this information, I think the story is clearer and we can see the possible solution she needs. I understand now why Laureley is united: Kyou is the soul of this band; Hajime does it for his sister, Momoka for her girlfriend, and Shiho for her rival. Unfortunately, the anime will be suspended indefinitely since the season is ending and there is no TV slot to air the remaining episodes. |

I really enjoyed the episode! The anime really highlighted the sad tone of Shiho's backstory. As a manga reader, I'm more happy than I expected to watch this episode. Being animated and voiced really added to the emotion and flesh out the story. While I agree the quality of the art style is still lacking, I think it's acceptable at this point. |

I feel an anime should have some level of animation in it. This episode was largely static images and slideshows. Yet again, character design appears to vary from previous episodes. The episode is a key element of the story, but it’s done in such a lacklustre way. |

I'm sorry but this was the most damaging episode of the entire series, even more so than the dreadful audition one. This was a glorified diaporama basically with a bunch of black fades and everything in-between to hide the awful production state of this anime, stitched together in a shitty storyboard. With an episode so charged emotionally, it really is a shame. To think that maybe the most important chapters, the fireworks, won't even be adapted is just infuriating. I'm not dropping it, but I now know this will certainly be the worst rating I'll give to any series this season and in 2024 so far. |

Didn't expected Kyou to die but Shiho,Momoka and Haji her rival/friend , girlfriend and her sister forming a band to honour her such a wholesome thing really rooting for them and the ED now became even bette. Also Shiho got the short end of the stick she deserved better and Hima keep trying to make things right and rather damaging more. Sed Looks like they skipped tons of stuff animation was back to shit after one half decent episode and this will go into hiatus again. It's so frustrating that such a good story got ruined by studio What a fucking shame |

- When the camera transitioned to the cemetery for the first time, I thought it was going to be something much darker than what we actually got. Though, I did not expect Kyou dying and that Hajime was actually her sister. - Interesting how Momoka was first introduced to Shiho. Hajime introduced her as being Kyou's girlfriend. Hmm. Curious that Shiho didn't bat an eye meeting her rival's lover. - Himari's nosiness compelled Shiho to finally confirm what was implied for the past several episodes. That Shiho had romantic feelings for Aki, and those feelings weren't reciprocated. For Shiho, it got worse when her crush seemingly falls in love at first sight with a total stranger... who just so happens to be Yori. With those pieces in place, Himari finally put two and two together: Shiho's departure from the band was a response to Aki's crush towards Yori. - If you ask me, this episode also further showcases Shiho's possessiveness towards the people she cares about. Look girl, I get that it is devastating to know your crush doesn't feel the same way towards you. But judging from what we've seen so far from the past episodes, it made it seem like Shiho gave up right after finding out Aki had a crush on Yori. Come on, Shiho, Aki isn't just some schoolfellow you just met. You had the luxury of having your crush being one of your close friends. She could have used that to her advantage. And Aki seems oblivious to Shiho's romantic feelings. So why didn't Shiho tell her regardless? Now I'm curious now to know why did Shiho assume she had zero chances being in a romantic relationship with Aki. - Hoping the last two episodes will be worth the wait. The art style seemed sharper than usual, though it was kind of let down by the average transitions. |

So my prediction about Shiho back on episode 7 loving Aki ended up being correct. Thought I was going to be wrong. With that said, most of her problems are her own doing because she doesn't handle things well and just runs away from it instead. She gets overly defensive and upset, shouting, getting mad... and not communicating. Also, my new prediction now is that Shiho started to develop feelings for Himari. Her reaction to finding out she is girlfriends with Yori was interesting. Had she still been in love with Aki, you would think that would make her happy since it means Aki is free and in the clear, your chance is nigh... but instead she seemed to be pretty upset by it. So I have to assume she is taking it as if Yori is getting in the way, yet again. Like Yori is taking everything away from her, which is also why she is bad mouthing her constantly. Now then... will I be wrong on this prediction? I may just read the manga though and drop the anime since it seems it's been delayed indefinitely. |
