Who doesn't have numerous locks on their doors and can't discuss their family, right? It's infuriating. Her parents essentially caused her little brother Kota's death. No surprise she took matters into her own hands. Good riddance.

Chika's friend possesses an incredible ability, opening doors to the multiverse? That's seriously overpowered. Unfortunately, she shouldn't have crossed paths with Honoka. Now that Honoka realizes she can harness her own flesh, she has become stronger.

What kid will have so many locks to their house? Only Honoka does that...and her younger brother Kota is trapped because of the insanity of family rules.

With Goro out of commission bleeding blood out of his eyes, Amano calls up Honoka to see Goro, though her alliance doesn't prohibit her from killing him. This misfortune of Goro's is not the first time, though this time it really looks like the consequences rack up even tougher. Honoka finding Chika rather suspicious, and the mad scientist doesn't hold her thoughts back, and leads her to a world of the multiverse.

The world going back to Honoka's childhood and said girl killing off her parents to relieve her younger self, it's all because of Chika's friend allowing time travel, which as a power itself, it's quite the OP-ness as Chika reveals her Gas Mask facade and fights Honoka to the death. Chika's Entropy Mask may be powerful, but that pales in comparison to Honoka's power, with the true assailants coming for the clutch and killing Chika off as their tool.

A plot deeper than blood and power, Honoka gets her first taste of a much more sinister enemy.

Kinda curious about Honoka's mindset, after this episode.

We know her goal, we know she went as far as killing her own parents before, but it seems like she has been having a hard time on the whole killing thing ever since getting resurrected by Gorou. If she wanted she could have just gone for his throat without saying a thing and killing class rep meanwhile, and instead she stalled with small talk and seemingly was making empty threats back in the hospital room.

Then she also stop herself from killing best girl (maybe she rest in peace, she left us too soon lol), showing that she may just have got some of the same empathy Gorou had for her, and likely trying to find a peaceful way around the conflict....

...Or maybe using the someone with long range as an ally was the way she thought more doable to deal with Gorou, thinking she completely fumbled their alliance for good after she got Lall pissed (I'm not taking any chances fully believing in anyone here, I just like the other character development a bit better haha).

Well, a shame the opening didn't update the visuals this week, I think we pretty much covered all the scenes that were introduced in it, so far in.
I've been waiting a definitive version for it, it would be pretty cool.

That's three episodes in a row that made me think a lot more about the nuances of certain characters and how they integrate themselves thematically with the plot developments.

- We had Kouki subverting the bully archetype with a rather fun take on an anti-bully ranger turned bully in order to understand the mindset and use it to actually solve his school's disparities, with which he suffer himself for a while.

- We had the idol fanboy as the stealth real character behind the icon, which was quite the clever way to twist a bit your usual "bitter otaku killing their idol" trope (sadly a reality, the stabbings and stalking are not exactly uncommon in that toxic ass niche), with some positive signaling in regards to the appreciation of even the most hardcore of followers to what fellow fans can give continuity faithfully to, in the event someone they loved the work of ceased to be (something that only now is getting a bit more accepted in otaku culture in there).

In several regards, many fans don't even know how faithful some works are to their favorite authors' original vision in a given project they are a major part of, which could reveal itself to be entirely mostly made by dedicated fans working with them on that, and they will like it as marketed for as long as that doesn't come out, which is when purist will try disassociating the product from their list of favorites, in case it happened to be just that. Ironically, it plays its thematic strengths in a work most people are only watching because it is something made by Yoko Taro, which makes me wonder if it was done on purpose, he loves to troll with this sort of inverse parallels after all.

- Now we have to whole situation with Honoka, which can still go many ways, and I'm rather curious to see where exactly.

Hopefully the next one will get us something to chew on with Gorou and wheelchair girl (which probably has the wildest power yet, doors connecting parallel universes to their own).

Well that was pretty dark and actually fairly realistic what abusive parents can be like.

I don't know how to feel about this show exactly, but the last few episodes have gotten progressively better. This was my favourite episode thus far. The soundtrack is still banging and we got to see Chika unveiled. RiP Chika. She was fun while she lasted :'(

Well, that ending was a bit anti-climatic. Although it would've been better had she just finished of Ono. Wishful thinking.
