Lack of popularity in the west??

For a new show, its members is close to the bottom. Doesn't help the score is abysmally low
Granted I haven't read much through it. I have read black cat, to love ru, and so far I don't really prefer this to either of those 2. My guess it got fastracked for merch considering how popular kentaro yabuki is within Japan. Having to love ru figures still announced almost 10 years since the last anime.
What are your reasons why no one is paying attention to this show in the west?

This is just platinum end all over again, where a series get sales solely because of the reputation of the creator. Manga readers complained the lack of plot in ayakashi triangle. If yabuki wasn't the author, the manga probably would have been cancelled. Jump Square hasn't had any hits since TLR.

This show's poor placing on polls, scores, traffic, shows how yabuki lucked out. As a TLR fan, this feels like a severely subpar series compared to what yabuki did previously. redo of healer, labyrinth, peter grill are much better shows than this

anything that's not named monogatari is ignored and automatically considered bad or " trash but good trash " by the majority of the fans, same goes for erotic media in general, People are too prude/snowflakes just to check something because it has tits lol


also yes, while in the case of Ayakashi triangle, the hype died more because of stupid censorship and massive delays, it's not like other ecchi shows with interesting premises and good Characters get recognized lol, stuff like tsugumomo, ikki tousen, witch blade, etc that even have good female characters who aren't just " eye candy " and good action will always be left in the dust by the generic public no matter what unfortunately

heck, even for monogatari, half the fans gaslight themselves with BS like " the fanservice matters in-universe " or " it's subversive ecchi!!! " or " it connects to the themes of the show!!!  instead of just admitting that they like one of the most apologetically horny, pro lolicon and fetishist shows ever exist lol

The thing with shows like Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi and Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo is that they had an uncensored AT-X version unlike this show that we have to wait months before the first blu-ray, it isn't helped by that big delay that killed even more the popularity even if it wasn't that big in the first place.
