Abema TV streamed the second episode today.

Imo, Shirayuki is too nice for a character and they pushed her personality to her role. Episode also gave more insight with the activites at school. I can't stand Sarasa though..she's so bratty and pushy. Hiroto's win this episode also felt underwhelming. They really need to step it up with the main story to keep this entertaining.

Hiroto, having been admitted to the dorms, the pretty maid Shirayuki Himeji was kinda disappointed that she was expecting a girl, not a boy. But regardless, she will be with him as his live-in assistant.

Hiroto wants Shirayuki to relax at his call, though she still acts her role as a housemaid, briefing him on the scam's game plan, with the Seven Star being the primary target for all. Right now, Hiroto's abilities are limited to a One Star level, though the need is to drive him up the ladder as quickly as possible through games. And since he defeated the Empress, countless people have requested for a battle with him, though they will win by cheating, or hacking, through Ami Kagaya, to be the strongest in a short matter of time.

Through his class, both Fuuka Tatara and Yuuki Tsuji guiding him along, a game comes fast with the challenge from 3 Star Haru Urasaka. With commentary by  Suzuran Kazami and Sarasa watching the game, her game is one for speed, though Hiroto gets nervous at every step of the way. And as the plan would have it, the Company does all of the work while Hiroto only needs to work on his marketing to make sure the hacking was done discreetly. A secret meeting with Akabane on the real Sarasa, she was mysteriously kidnapped while Akabane filled in her place easily since she was part of her friend group. And this is especially important for Hiroto to find his childhood friend on Academy Island, to protect their lies until the goal is accomplished.

PuraOre's Smile Princess's ED is a Horimiya aesthetic reference, it's good. But the anime is starting to get rushed, which is norm for LNs.

Wow that was surprising, Didn't know they aired to episodes back to back lol, I've heard of another show doing the exact same thing this season but I digress

After finding out that this "Sarasa" that Hiroto beat isn't actually Sarasa it's up to him to keep both of their lies without being leaked! We also meet best girl Himeji Shirayuki, Hiroto's maid and a person who hacks into other peoples device so Hiroto can win. The whole racing part was funny ngl, and now seeing the full premise of the show I gotta say I'm intrigued.

The soundtrack is very hype holy I love this soundtrack, the OPs fine I guess the ED is kinda catchy though I won't lie. The soundtrack really just elevates and brings the craziness of this anime to a whle other level and I'm here for it.

I'm excited for what this show has to offer and I love me some Tournament Arcs in anime and this just feels like a whole anime about Tournament Arcs and I'm here for it!

We got more info how and why he needs to protect his status for both his and Rina secret. Do not expect the hacking to always go well, so wonder how he will deal with it and how Rina might assist him with the alliance.

Wanted to see how the first game played out even though it was not important probably, but they skipped sadly.

Already a rushed adaptation.

They completely skipped the second game, and didn't even show Kagaya's hacking skills.

Also the bar where they were having the secret talk was supposed to be underground and a dark place with no windows.

And they also completely skipped his first day in school where he introduces himself in front of his class.

Well, I have to admit, the hacking makes the story quite contrived, but it's still amusing, though fundamentally, it's not that "good" of a story, it's just fun. Let's just hope it doesn't get generic and stale too quickly. The pacing felt a bit fast this episode with a skipped game. My enjoyment did level off a bit with this episode so we'll see how it goes from here.

Not technically an hour long broadcast, but the double broadcast of episodes 1 and 2 was cool. Story seems pretty weak other than the mystery of what happened to the real Saionji. The main appeal so far is the cute girls and their interactions with the MC. But the lack of fanservice so far is a big minus.

Also it’s kinda hilarious to have a game based show and skip the games. I mean, surely that should’ve been most of this 2nd episode? Skipping the hacking which is also an integral part of the story is also odd.

The art and girls are good, but this needs something of substance to actually pull people in. I have the LN pre ordered(August) but based on the scores I’ve seen for that I don’t think it gets any better lol.

So, did the anime just leave out important rules or is the whole setup incredibly flawed? Whats to stop students from losing on purpose to transfer stars to one of their fellow students so they have a 7 star and get ranked higher? What is the personal benefit for having stars in the first place. And possibly the most important, why would a 7* ever accept a match? All they can do is lose stars. Not to mention, how are 7* not more common? You only have to go net positive 7 games.

How does this system work? Can they actually turn down game requests? If he got 42 game requests, then did he take part in every single one of them? I don’t think so. And if he didn’t, does that means that they can refuse game requests? If so, why even take part in them if he’s at 7 stars? I don’t get it. Btw in that race even after falling, that chick was so much closer to the finish line than this guy, she could’ve easily outrun him lmao, she just kept chilling there.

Yeah exactly, that’s what I thought about as well. Why would they ever accept a game when they’re at 7 stars? It just doesn’t make any sense, and if it somehow does and grants them some benefits, I’d appreciate if the anime told me about them lmao

Cheating and all is fine but they should've detailed us about the stars and game system. After all assuming something firsthand and then them showing it wasn't the case gonna sour the mood later on.

Typical skipping over the stuffs problem.. yeah it's the usual for every other LN.

Hiroto's story is literally as if one woke up tomorrow and was king of a place that everyone wants to overthrow to take his place, after seeing the 2 chapters I think I'll launch the triple and say that there are 2 possibilities:
1. That Sarasa Saionji is really her and that Rina Akabane is to pretend to still be kidnapped for some unknown reason.
2. That the person Hiroto is looking for on the island is Sarasa Saionji and he doesn't know it or simply doesn't want to reveal it yet.
I would make more assumptions but I lack data to start brainstorming theories. Anyway, see you next week :)
PS: Tremendous minecraft ending they were sent.

Damm anime skipped so many explanations, anyway, I will answer your questions.

One can just purposely lose? In these challenges, winning is extremely important because it determines your status and worth. Nobody wants to purposely lose and give a low rating to themselves, since everything is based on accumulating more stars. Stars are like a currency that represents your progress and skill level. If you lose a challenge, the winner takes one star from you as a penalty. However, if you only have one star, you can use the island's currency instead of a star to pay the penalty for your defeat.

What are the benefits of the stars? Stars are a visual representation of where you stand in the class system. They serve as a clear indication of your status on the island. Having more stars comes with privileges and benefits, such as access to restricted areas that lower star holders cannot enter, power struggles, and many more.

Why does a 7* need to accept a challenge when they only lose stars? It's because duel requests cannot be refused, however, one is free to choose in which order one takes them.

Why 7* are not common? One can become a 7* only after enrolling by having an entrance exam score that is the highest in history. Also, students with five stars or more will not be able to get more stars unless they defeat a higher-level opponent(higher star count number), so it is almost impossible to reach 7* without being directly enrolled at that level.

A dual request can't be refused but one is free to choose in which order one takes them.

Hiroto meets Hirayuki who serves as a maid there. Hirayuki explains a lot about the game and the stars or something. Hiroto wins a duel against someone and Hirayuki helps him.

Looks like Hiroto made new friends named Yuuki & Fuuka? Hiroto is being set up for a duel against someone in a stadium. Suzuran only knows the word "meow" apparently. Hiroto is dueling with Haru. Sarasa is also there to help Suzuran. Hiroto wins against Haru because he and Hirayuki did some digging. Hiroto is being invited by Sarasa to an drink by a cafe and there she tells her story and Hiroto tells his story. They became alliances. Seiran came out of nowhere.

So... the "dorm" isn't exactly a dorm, but rather a mansion to serve MC so he can pretend to be the "strongest". Cause there's no way someone strong would be living in regular "dorm".

Gotta keep up the lie

.

And yup... it looks like he's going to be "cheating" the entire series in order to win against others to keep up his "lie".

So yea... this is a [Fake/ Reverse No Game No Life].

.

Hmm... not really sure how I feel about this series where they're literally just winning by cheats.

Meaning the entire series is doing to be very predicatable since it means the MC will just keep on winning with cheats and there's no actual "gameplay" involved.

That means even if you removed the parts about showing MC playing in "games" nothing about this series would be changed.

.

Can literally just go [episode start] "I won with hack" [episode ends]

Majority of the series seems to be going to be about the character's "Drama" (aka, finding the truth, ironic isn't it?)

Idk how I feel about him winning games via hacking. And it’s odd that these maids can hack so perfectly without anyone knowing… dunno seems a bit off.

The strategy of using “abilities” to win games seems a bit boring to me. Rather than pure skill/intellect like NGNL or Kakegurui. But I guess I’m just nitpicking now.

Do all the districts have a house like this with the maids?

The maid girl is GODDESS!!! the best for the moment 🚬
