Well, to be honest, I think that Demon Slayer, again, is their safe production, and therefore, aren't really putting in a ton of things into it.

Look at how good the Heaven's feel movie looks, or even Ufotable's Kara No Kyokai. The latter was under tight scheduling, but managed to do good regardless because of how good the team and how passionate the team was about the project.

Meanwhile, Demon slayer was, for season 1, a low priority production. Season 2, they actually put in a lot of effort to match it, and make sure it would deliver. Now, with season 3, they could make anything and it would be a hit. It has enough momentum, and to be honest, people only want to work so much on the same work.

Ufotable has a lot of new, original, and more importantly, lucrative and risky projects that they want to make off of Demon Slayer's money. There is the genshin anime, there's Witch on the Holy Night, that Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu film, Girls' work. They have a lot of stuff they want to make other than just demon slayer all the time, why would they want to make a show for the next 10 years with the same passion they had years ago?

Bro wtf you should be grateful that they are even spending money and time on Demon Slayer. They turned it from an awfully mediocre manga to a pretty enjoyable anime while they could have adapted far better stories and you complain?!

I see many people saying this already, but Ufotable, or any studio, isn’t a content machine. I’m pretty sure everyone knows this, but the anime/manga industry is messed up.

I don’t mind if you say you’d like the things you mentioned, but don’t call others lazy so easily, please. Demon Slayer clearly already has a lot of effort put into it, and you’re just offending everyone.

I personally respect adaptations that hew closely to the original manga material, I don't care for those that make wild departures and fill it up with a bunch of extra filler and other "content" these stories get adaptations because they stand up so well on their own.

episode 1 and episode 11 are longer than normal episodes. You’ll be getting 13 episodes worth of anime which is normal

Maybe doing all the side crap would break the pacing and it's better to just turn them into a movie, 1 hour special or straight to DVD.

Who said it was bad? I said that they could have done much more, and therefore in this case the criticism is justified, given that for example both Enmu and Gyokko had no intuitions, and therefore passed through extremely forgettable characters
