Honestly, I’m not enjoying this season as much as the other ones so far.

I don’t know if it was because the training arcs were underwhelming or if the writing took a hit, but I’m often finding myself unengaged while watching.

This hasn’t been the case for other shows I’m watching this season, so I’m wondering what others think about the show so far.

Are these feelings understandable and is there hope for the future?

just wait, things are just starting, harvest festival and the next arc that is coming this season (music festival) are easily the best in iruma-kun

personally I like music festival the most but harvest festival is great too

This season I have been dying of laughter each ep, and I thought the shows take on the tournament arc was a nice touch. I've always liked Lied so he is fun to delve into, I really like the Asmodeus Sabnock team up, Clara in the suit fucking kills me, I feel like the show continues to get better and better and personally this is my favourite season so far. It is easily the show my mom and I look forward to the most every week; we are currently watching SxF, MHA, Chainsaw Man and this.

Personally, it's tricky because I've binged the first two seasons and now that I have to wait each week for one episode it's just not the same. I feel this show is just so much better when you can watch 10 episodes in a row, 1 by 1 there's just not enough to satisfy me lol
I'm genuinely considering waiting until whenever it ends airing to binge it in one sitting.

You're not alone. Part of the problem at least for me is the OP. I would sing the theme from S1 for days. I still don't like Season 2's OP, but it was Iruma-kun-esque. If that makes since. However, the current OP doesn't sound like Iruma-kun at all. It sounds like an opening for My Hero Academia or Boruto...something less comedic and more action. S1 & 2 themes made me excited to watch the episode. Season 2's makes me excited to watch something else.

This has been extremely boring, each episode focuses on an irrelevant side character. If the author didn't want them to irrelevant he should have developed slowly over the first 2 seasons, instead of having a ep dedicated to eachs backstory now

Without a doubt the worst the shows been, Its left the cast feeling unevenly displaced especially cause they are almost all separated off from each other and they simply do not carry a scene without the ability to bounce off one another.

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

I'd say it's because the current arc is kinda ehh.

individual episodes are okay but the arc itself is too long and lame. i honestly am frigging tired of it.

There are parts of each episode which are proof of the show's appeal; however it's surrounded by lots of things drawn out in an unappealing fashion.

As I reflected in an earlier comment, it seems the main problem behind the direction of this show is getting distracted. Taking a certain aspect of say, humour or story element and not knowing how to precisely and compactly handle it.

We had tell-tale signs in Walter Park Arc, which fell dragged for me. Obviously Harvest Festival is longer, so they have to step up their game (Even without reading the manga, I can tell the storytelling aspects have grown much better in the average than the first two seasons). One of the best handled arcs was the Evil Cycle arc. Short and super effective.

The first half of the season is almost over. It's not bad as a story, but I'm not having fun. I don't expect anything to happen anymore. Everything moves so slowly that it doesn't matter to me how good the second half is. Because I lost all interest and I don't plan to watch the rest of the season. I wish they'd made 13 episodes but didn't make it that long.

The arc is just going really slow so it feels like nothing happens most of the time because it’s showing what other members of the class are doing and from the looks of it this arc is going to last the whole season.

The arc must be pretty long in the manga

Honestly this season compared to the first two is terrible. This whole arc and plotline is the most boring thing I have ever watched and find myself distracting myself with other things if I try and watch. I don't feel any life in any of the characters like I did in the last two seasons and it has none of the charm that the last two had.

I'm not sure if it's because of nostalgia glasses that I'm much more fond of the first two seasons, but I'm not really feeling it very much here. Perhaps when I read this arc in the manga, having it all available without these weekly waits made the slower disjointed sections much easier to digest, but that's not the only issue I'm having. I just feel like the overall animation quality of the show itself has gone down, the other seasons didn't have nearly as many still shots or filler frames right? I know it was never like peak animation, but it was passable, it just feels worse this season with a lot of looping animations, still shots, and all sorts of tricks to lower the amount of work necessary.

as someone that caught up to the manga, I remember that this arc and the next arc was kinda epic but they freakin drag this season to much. I went from watchinh this series every weak to being 3 episodes late. That’s how unmotivated I am, even as a big fan of the series.

I have to say, I'm relieved. After s2 ended and such a long break, I didn't hold much hope for s3. I worried I might end up dropping it. But I watched 3 episodes like it was nothing and it felt so damn refreshing. Right now I feel like I'll have no trouble enjoying this show.

Izawa Shiori who is voicing Dosanko has such an interesting voice, I wanted to hear her voice more.

Dosanko

So that's how Balam eats with wearing his mask, quite a skill to make noodles to come through the holes:

Goemon should talk to Komi from "Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu", since they have same goal:

It seems that demon in Makai likes Japanese styled castle:

Ocho reminded me Ozu from "Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei":

Ozu

It has some cool scenes, like Bachiko and Iruma using their bows:

Scene with Clara when she was affected by "Trauma" was great. How she was devastated when Iruma-illusion asked her for a drink. Iruma was the first one who befriended her without taking advantage of her ability, and then he used his last arrow to save her from this nightmare.

It has lots of English words, many episodes are stretched: you can show some events in 1 minute, but anime studio stretched them over more than half episode, reminds "Naruto" with its fillers and stretched episodes. Constant travel/showing past events  is annoying.

This time a so so season. Probably will watch continuation, but they stretch episodes so much that it becomes hard to watch.
