I don't think anyone is here anymore. The random on this site for the anime seems to be non-existent but I just wanted to ask if this is skippable or if I have to watch it for Zoku to make sense.

Its fine to skip since Mushishi is nearly 100% episodic.

Also on the app all new topics appear on the home screen for shows you've completed, no matter how obscure.

This is one of the best Mushishi episodes, period. Even if you haven't watched any Mushishi I would still recommend this.

Don't skip it, it is cannon and does add to the overall theme of the series. Watch all of the films btw

Just as skippable as any other Mushishi episode... It's not any different just because it has a seperate database entry.

All mushishi content should be watched if you enjoy mushishi, only exception, you don’t like mushishi, which would be pretty cringe imo.

It’s insane how the further away you get from shonen forums, the more civilized people get.

I truly enjoyed this but it's absolutely not necessary as all of Mushi-shi is episodic. The art, pacing, story, and flow are all what you'd expect so if you're a fan of Mushi-shi it's something I recommend watching for sure. If you're a casual watcher then maybe watch it at some point.

No it's not, you won't miss anything if you skip it. This was a weak "episode" Imagine waiting 8 years for this to be dropped on your lap, the fans disappointment must have been of epic proportions.
Me every time I hear the word "reparations": 🤣🤣🤣
