Anya - Is she the greatest (or your favourite) Anime child character ever?

Yes to me you do if we're talking about the best I can't really put anya as anywhere near the best because there's really nothing to her than an "awwwe" factor and you need more than that to be considered the best or in the conversation with the best. Tanya from saga of the evil is a child with a great backstory. Gohans entire arc from the beginning of Z to the cell saga was pretty amazing. Thorfinn from Vinland Saga. Riko from made in abyss. To be the best you gotta be more to me than just doing silly faces.

I think the post was talking about purely child characters. Like ones who don't grow to adulthood over the course of the story. Something around the ages of 4-8/9 years, but I could be wrong. Say Tanya for example I'm pretty sure she's like an old man reincarnated or something( I didn't watch the anime, only saw reviews/recommendations about it). The guy from Vinland saga did have an amazing backstory yes, but didn't he grow over the course of the anime. As for Gohan from DBZ, I think he grew up in the story because I saw an older version of him somewhere(didn't watch DBZ so jot sure about that).

And Gohan's character arc really finished at the cell saga because they didn't really do anything with him after that so his arc ended there. And he went from being a baby to defeating a huge villian and he wasn't grown when he did it he was like 11. Either way children grow up and become adults and the op didn't specify on that so anya isn't in the top for me. It would also be really restrictive to just say characters that never grew up because it leaves us with a slim pool of characters that are kinda one note and one dimensional like ash Ketchum from Pokemon.
