lol, philosophical and psychological are definetly my favorite categories. I low-key only saw part of it with a friend, I just remember the fate series being really difficult to follow chronologically as it changes from game to anime and then from production studio to other production studio. I should definetly give it a rewatch though

Still, the manga was perhaps one of the most moving things I've ever read. Its gotta eventually get a followup, especially when we're seeing followups to ancient shows like Trigun or Panty Stocking, which Trigun is 30 years old, and I don't know if Panty Stocking even should get a s2, lol.
Also I'm going to be fr, that manga was legitimately moving, like actually the greatest recommendation ever, I would 100 percent check out. Also nice new profile pic.

ah okay, so that's bepop's appeal. I've seen terror, it was pretty damn bad XD I haven't heard anything good about carole either. 8.62 to 6.64 is pretty insane especially considering how trash like solo levelling fares on here. Revenge pron is my personal kryptonite.

Yeah, I agree. What makes it great is that Araki knew what he had in mind. My only real gripe with part 8 from a writing standpoint has to do with the utilisation of stands. The newer the part, the more complex and streamlined/purposed their powers are. With part 8, it creates a scenario where Araki has to brilliantly set up the hopelessness of a scenario yet have a character prevail with their powers. It makes for quite the riveting fight. But sometimes, when a character does win, it does feel arbitrary or kinda an asspull?
I assume the final arc wasn't all that great?

Yeah very true kizumi dono XD, although my faith in MAL is so low that i just assume it's a unique show they're railing on cause a few people said it and the poster and plot descrip showed potential.

I've heard quite a bit about it too and i've seen people go gaga over it firsthand, was pretty popular and i think it was big on steam too. I hope it's a fun harem show, please. Im dying without my harem titles :')

Oh fuck, crappa are like my trigger nowadays (btw trigger and imaishi are also my trigger but let's not go on a tangent), but the parkour bits show is looking decent from the trailer and gsar was also looking forward to it, so I have some hope myself after you and gsar pointed it out XD I haven't seen ninja kamui or bepop, but i think bepop's director should be good.

i guess something like that was underway. It felt like that kind of atmosphere driven mystery XD ost is usually the biggest contributor to atmosphere in general, and that's very obvious for VNs at least, and it's very obvious here you can't skimp on that when your mystery can't be driven by the plot divilopments. 17 is a lot of endings too. It was a tough game to adapt as a hackjob and get away with it. I get the idea about the dialogues too from what you're telling me and how that'd make the charas relatable.

ah so there's post apocalyptic survival bits in the story, that's good XD I don't even want to know how they've executed it in 3-4 adaptation eps. The details sound so much better and think i might keep the VN on the backburner for the future. Seems it has enough twists and turns to not just brush it aside.

Good thing i dropped the anime at 4 eps lol i can see why you'd be so unhappy with the adaptation now kizumi dono, it's worse than my initial estimation :P

Indeed. It follows the mystery format more than usual, which is nice, because fights generally aren't JoJo's strong suit in my opinion - with the exception of part 7, of course. That was peak. But I'm not sure how I feel about the cast; they have their traits and whatnot, but they aren't all that memorable or likeable when compared to other JoJo parts. Overall: 7.5-8/10.
What's your take on it?

I appreciate the absolutely goated recommendation! and yes, that last bit of season 1 so heavily implied there would be a season 2 with all the stuff in there, but it looks like no game no life in that there's been nothing announced in 8 years ;-;
