Kingdom Royale is the best part of Hakomari, so 3 and 4

Volume 7. Nice way to conclude the series. Both Kazuki and Maria make words such as "love" and "devotion" too little to describe their bond. And also Maria coming back to become a human by finding the Zeroth Maria. To be a bit more selfish, to smile when you're happy, to cry when you're sad. It's just a nice message.

They have gone through a lot. So yes, it was hell satisfying to me.

even after 1 year since I finished the series, vol 7 is the best fiction I have ever read for me.

Easily 7th volume, best conclusion for both of the main characters.

Five was my favorite volume because the style was play-like, and it was a creative use of a flashback. Daiya is an ignorant kid who thinks everyone is evil, because his past was bad. That is realistic - but I don't care since it has been done before and prevalent in a lot of works, so nothing new. Not a fan of the author and the series and its themes + tropes in general, but okay book.

MAL is far from being my primary site for literature, which is why I’ve stopped doing single-chapter updates. Baka-Updates and two French sites are far superior—more detailed, complete, and less restrictive. They're perfect for manga, light novel, and book collectors like me, making the process much less stressful and tiring. -g-

7 is by far the best. Never understood why people like volume 1 so much, I found every volume other than volume 2 better than 1. The series gets better with every volume.

When it comes to arc and thrill I would say Kingdom Royale (Vol 3 and 4) was my favorite.
But overall volume 7 easily takes the cake. Best and deserved conclusion to both Kazuki and Maria. Just putting myself in Kazuki's shoes makes my mind go blank. But his determination to get the zeroth Maria back was unwavering and remained the same even when nothing about him was anymore. And we finally got the see the crybaby Maria we all heard about so much throughout the series so there's that. I think the author delivered a strong message of 'acceptance' throughout the series but I think it really shone the brightest in the 7th one. And the idea of putting Yuri, Haruaki, Kokone, Mugi's views and thoughts at the end was brilliant.
