| Great awakening for Kuwabara! I love when a character is tested like this and he just explodes. If Yusuke really died, I guess it only makes sense he will come back as a Yokai? |

| For me this was the best episode yet. When Kuwabara started crying it really got tense until the end of the episode and up until now in didn't even like Kuwabara as a character. |

| The bromance in this episode was so powerful. Man, seeing Kuwabara cracking at the end was so tough. A tremendous sense of defeat fills the air when Sensui says that the video is over. |

| How overly dramatic. Shinobu Sensui gave them far too much time for checking out Yusuke's dead body. With that entire pond of water there, hopefully Seaman will not be useless in the ensuing fight. |

| I... I just liked an episode of Yuu Yuu Hakusho, well the second half at least. Of course the logic behind how this happened was still dumb but the impact of it was cool. Still though, in a few episodes, or maybe even next episode the tension of this will have been meaningless and all will be for naught. Examples of the logic being flawed: Why didn't that guy just kill Kuwabara? It was obvious he was their only out and he even knew he was capable of cutting through dimensions, but hey, let's keep him live and see were this goes! Shinobu lets them just dick around for what reason? I guess so that Kuwabara can power up his power of friendship and kick his ass. That all aside though the build up was nice and the last 8-10 minutes of this episode were some of the only parts I've enjoyed of this entire series so I'll take it. |

| Kuwabara's glare after he realized Shinobu really killed Yusuke was powerful. Keiko is a red herring, real love is Yusuke and Kuwabara. I absolutely love how they play out these tense moments with no music, so suspenseful. |

| wow... the most emotional episode by far. I had tears rolling down my cheek. This scene was wonderfully crafted. I am 100% sure that Yusuke will comeback but that does not matter in this case. The way this scene was created was just so good. Kuwabara dropping his tough funny guy facade while showing his true feelings. "He finally remembered my name.. Trying to win was never my reason to fight him to begin with.." Kuwabara is the one that made cry in the very first episode of the show where he showed his feelings for Yusuke and hes done it again today. I will admit that through out the series he was never really one of my favorite characters, he was constantly getting beat up and he was always the jester even in unfitting moments. In this arc not only has his character finally value because of the dimension sword but he also stepped down from making constant jokes and instead showed more of his real heart. Why... why were the first 70 episodes so weak in comparison? How can the story and the heart behind it become so significantly better all of a sudden? I wish from the bottom of my heart that the entire show would have been as good as this arc. It would have been one of my favorite animes. Sadly 1 good arc is not gonna make me forget the average 70 episodes before that. I really hope the anime continues like this until the end. |
| Whoa! The scenes showing Yusuke and Kuwabara really made this hit hard. Sometimes, I get the sense that this show is about Kuwabara (the Sam to Yusuke's Frodo). YYH does a good job at making all the characters count. |

| God I forget how far back the relationship between Kuwabara and Yusuke goes but damn I definitely felt for the former as Yusuke died there. I really did. He gets his new power to escape but it was all in vein. Such an amazing episode there. It was certainly an emotional one at that. |
| A literal show stopping bout! This is the exact sort of fanatical supernatural action I wanted out of this arc! I have no idea where we're headed with all of this, but the fact there's a real ending brought to Yusuke's life (once again) is something I couldn't have anticipated. I bought his bullshit as much as he did himself! Kuwabara, more than ever, has earned his position as the backbone of the group. Seeing his emotion come to a boil and light a similar flame inside both Hiei and Kurama was just great. While one might see the flashbacks as a bit contrived, they certainly add to the moment in a way the blatant reuse of scenes didn't before. The fate of these two young men has been intertwined for quite some time, and they couldn't have accomplished as much as they have without each other. And the portal has been opened! This one was a bit more obvious as a plot element that just would've been too good to pass up, but I really thought for a moment that Koenma was going to reverse this whole thing with a special binky. Who can say what strife will come about now? A fantastic episode, and another fantastic fight out of this series! |

| This is Togashi's subtle way of sneaking BL in a Shonen series. I remember him reading that he's happy that Shonen was getting less macho, so he could add more Shoujo elements. I also read that he wanted to make a BL Manga, but it was rejected. And he ended YYH because he was too cowardly to add what he wanted to it. I wonder if Togashi wanted Kuwabara x Yusuke endgame, but was too afraid to write it. Perhaps he thought that Shonen readers weren't ready for it. |
