A second season for Kyuuketsuki Sugu Shinu (The Vampire Dies in No Time) was announced following the broadcast of its 12th and final episode on Monday. The official website also posted an announcement promo.

Returning staff members for the new season at Madhouse include director Hiroshi Koujina (Hunter x Hunter (2011)), series composer Yukie Sugawara (Overlord, No Guns Life), and character designer and chief animation director Mayuko Nakano (www.Working!!).

The anime series began airing on October 4. Funimation simulcast the anime with subtitles and began streaming an English dub on November 22.

Kyuuketsuki Sugu Shinu adapts Itaru Bonnoki's supernatural comedy manga—abbreviated as KyuuShi—in Weekly Shounen Champion in June 2015. Akita Shoten published the 18th volume on September 8, with the 19th volume scheduled for a January 7 release. Kyuuketsuki Sugu Shinu has a cumulative 1.1 million copies of its volumes in print.

Synopsis
Vampires are known to have many weaknesses that balance out their incredible power, but the vampire lord Draluc happens to be weak to pretty much anything.

The vampire hunter Ronald receives a job to infiltrate the castle of the so-called "Invincible Progenitor" and rescue a woman's son from the monster within. But upon arriving, he is dumbfounded to discover that the vampire quickly turns to ash by something as trivial as a clap of his hands! Moreover, the child he was sent to save had merely wandered in to play the vampire lord's video games while he slept!

In a disastrous turn of events, Draluc's castle is destroyed, and the fragile vampire decides to move in with the hunter who has only just defeated him. Ronald, Draluc, and the vampire's pet armadillo John form quite the eccentric team as they are forced to work together while fending off Ronald's violent editor, the lesser vampires plaguing the city, and even their fellow vampire hunters. Yet none of them in English. Give me a break and publish it so I can get it.

Also, looking very much forward to this second season. I haven't had enough of John yet.

Meh boring anime

Madhouse does not make any good anymore (except for upcoming Overlord season 4). I wish if they make No Game No Life season 2 instead of garbage like this

I have to say I’m very surprised at this because the comedy is pretty dry on this series and the characters just seem uninteresting…

Oh yes! One of my favorite anime of this year. I guess and I thought so, one cour was too short for them, looking how popular is it in Japan.
Can't wait for more John

Oh yes, my top fav anime of this year! It's surprising bcs I didn't think it would get a 2nd season this quick but it wasn't unexpected looking how popular this anime was. They successfuly made this into anime without ruining the comedy. Can't wait for more John and Y-dan ojisan.
