Well, it seems the streaming service I subscribed to somehow managed to release the episode VERY early lol. Anyway, the episode was great, especially the speech, even though I already knew what was going to happen, the scene was still great. They showed

Anyway, overall I really enjoyed the anime, it's not without flaws but it was still damn enjoyable and Lev x Irina is awesome. Still wished they will give us a 2nd season as I really want to see

Thought I was trippin when I saw the episode thread already up.

Anyway.

Anya used Skull Bash. That was very effective. The animation for Irina's run also looked hilarious. There was even more to like aside from these goofy moments. Ludmilla revealed her agenda as expected. Lev killed it with his speech and Irina joining him certainly was the icing on the cake.

What a ride this has been. An extreme one for me in particular. Initially I wasn't that fond of the characters. The first episode frankly didn't hook me for whatever reason. Halfway through I was expecting the worst case scenario outcome, lol. Now I couldn't be more pleased with the happy ending.

As expected, the world's first cosmonaut is celebrated all over the world, and Lev is at the center of attention, while Anya helps Irina escape out of the medical center.

Anything about Lev is headline news, and Anya seizing this opportunity to escort Irina out before she gets disposed of is the only sound judgment that can be done. Of course, he didn't forget about Irina, which no doubt sent everyone into a fit that they can cover for lies later from his speech.

The reunion between Lev and Irina is sweet, but putting her on the parade square at the behest of everyone feels like an exercise in frustration. But still, you've gotta give it to Lev for actually getting her message across, even if they have to save face in front of that many people.

This is a wonderful series that went under the radar, hope that many people will pick this up.

Anya's headbutt. lmao.. She was an MVP after all.

The ending was pretty good and very beautiful, tbh. Lev and Irina, both achieved their dream of being cosmonauts. Now, let's continue to their next mission, go to the moon together.

My thoughts exactly. Shame so few people watched this. A real sweet series with a positive message.

Fortunately Lev's speech included Irina as expected and she was introduced to everyone, causing commotion and a social/political revolution in a sense. What I didn't expect was that headbutt though. Damn, how fast was Anya going?

Anyhow, I enjoyed this overall. Not too outstading on many aspects but that relationship between Irina and Lev made it for me. So many chuckle-heavy moments between them as the episodes went on and her being a tsundere was definitely a plus. Too bad they didn't kiss by the end, though the end was pretty alright.

It's hard to say if this'll have a season 2, but I wouldn't complain if that's the case.

Lovely series, I was a child during the 60's and 70's so those early days of space exploration are good memories for me. This series really hit home in many aspects. Irina was awesome, a stunning character and I sincerely hope we get a follow on to this, its too good to just disappear into the ether.

That headbutt from Anya was hilarious, props to her thou for bringing Irina to Lev. Their reunion was sweet and the speech was great. I'm happy we got such a sweet ending for this anime. Also so it was all according Ludmila's plan after all, sheesh what a woman.

A really good watch overall, was looking forward to this anime cause of the unique concept and I'm glad it delivered. Wonder if we'll get season 2 someday but even if we don't I'm fine with how this season ended.

Season 2 not confirmed as expected. I haven't read the source material for this so no idea how far they adapted this.

Meanwhile, I think the finale had a heartwarming feeling especially between Irina and Lev. They've truly come so far from the beginning to where they are now in the finale. Going to miss this anime. 7/10.

The series started the same way it ended.. wholesome and cute..
tho the tension was a bit high in last few episodes.. but the conclusion it developed too was nice and heartwarming.. guess the Emperor never really wanted to purge the vampires as shown in first few episodes and so he took this chance..

I'm just happy that Anya is safe.. she was gonna get killed easily if not for the actions of the emperor..

Dude.. I would have been crushed into the ground with all that pressure from almost half the world watching me..

I really really really hope we get a season 2 soon.. this was undoubtedly my most favorite watch from this season..

the happy ending feels kind of superficial since Zirnitra is an obvious analogy to USSR. it's just hard to imagine this sort of development to pass in real USSR (or any other totalitarian regime for that matter); it would have been more realistic if everyone just got GULAG'ed

The final speech was beautiful, really happy that they recognized Irina after all, I'm hoping for a 2nd season on them going to the moon, I really don't get why this anime is so low rated and unknown this season, that was seriously great from the beginning to the end to the point that I expected to be disappointed but fortunately it didn't happen, I'm really going to miss it and its characters, 8.5/10

That was a good show. One of the better ones this season. I knew he was gonna do something with the speech but i didn't think they had already prepared themselves. I don't know anything about the source material but reading the replies here it's possible there could be a second season but idk.

Great episode! Lev gives his speech and mentions Irina is the first cosmonaut in space instead of him! Anya's flying headbutt was super OP against that security guard!
Irina runs to Lev and the audience get to see her make a speech but they all insult her which really made me mad but in the end, people clapped for her.

This has been a great show and I really hope we get a second season!

That would be the first two volumes, with 5 left to go. At least that's what I saw on another thread.

So there could be up to three seasons if we were to get a full adaptation. Here's hoping!

I'm just happy that waifu-of-the-year Irina is alive and well, and free. Lev was hesitating on whether or not to give the unsung hero the recognition and praise she deserved, but in the end he went for it. Crowd certainly came close to causing an uproar, but the whole situation was surprisingly well under control. Quite a number of characters actually supported Irina, when I thought that everyone except Lev and pink pigtails girl were out to kill her. All is well, and Lev and Irina are together to pursue their dreams with one another. Was afraid the show could've taken a dark turn and ended up with Irina chained up somewhere or worse. I guess the writers wanted to give a happy ending to their anti-racism message to make everyone feel good. Maybe I didn't want everything to be quite so shallow, for the show to pursue darker themes. But then again I want Irina to be free because she's waifu asf. Whatever, it doesn't matter now, show's over, and it concluded with a satisfactory ending imo.

Nothing really wrong you can find with it, maybe a few nitpicks, but nothing worthy of true criticism. There's a little bit of drama, a little bit of conflict, but mostly it's a wholesome, feel-good show. It's certainly got an interesting, unique premise, but none of it is truly exceptional. However it is solid, and it gets the job which it set out to do, done.

5/10. An anime that flew under a lot of people's radar this season, but weren't missing out on much other than a simply solid anime. And an S-tier waifu.

Damn a lot of unexpected things in this episode. Didn't expect to meet Lev's parents but there they are.

Also turns out sexy lady and president were decent overall. Getting that one up over the UK with wanting to protect the Vampires. Actually smart.

Man Lev and Irina are ship of the season.

No season 2 but Im happy the LN's will have an English release eventually.

I was not expecting the 'revolution' to just be inclusive to all and such.. would've been interesting if they went and attempted to assassinate Irina. Big 180s from some of these people (audience throwing bottles in hatred, only to start clapping once more haha)

A weird ending for an otherwise really good anime. I only wished that the UK had more impact in the story. Other than that, loved seeing Lev, Irina and Anya. Decent animation; didn't mind in the end. Lots of patriotic music here and there.

definitely a series I could read... if only it published in English sooner

So they actually went with telling the secret that Irina was the first cosmonaut before Lev. It was the plan all along.

Anya's headbutt was priceless, she once again shows why she is MVP!!

Overall this Anime is seriously overlooked and even though I did expect more development on Lev and Irina's relationship in the final episode, they still managed to wrap it up nicely. No hate towards Vampires but also no more hate on Humans from Irina's side. 8/10, would definitely watch a S2 if it will ever get one.

To the future: A message of unity for mankind. Glad that Lev's bosses didn't dispose of Irina, everything went ok even with some of the crowd beings harsh to her. And for the sake of the shipping, I'm not satisfied with the handholding at the end, if they won't give us second season (not gonna happen, lets be real) at least they could showed us a kiss scene between them.

That was nice wrap up to one of the best anime of this year. It was definitely heart-warming to see Irina getting her recognition which she truly deserved since she was the first to ascend in Space. She also deliver great speech with courtesy of Lev. Also thanks to Anna for bringing Anna in the ceremony. And fuck to those fascist scumbag who were dreading and throwing bottle on Irina. They are the one who should be purged. But I am glad nothing happens to her and she live to see another day aspiring to reach Moon with Lev.

Hope we get season 2.

Great show, very good ending.

I know some people would want more of a full romance ending, but I think this was a satisfying ending. The ending really felt realistic and the episode had its moments. They definitely could have gone with a full tear-jerker, but chose not to, which I'm fine with.

That worked out better than I could have imagined, as I was expecting Lev to be killed when he changed the speech and there was a brief moment of silence. The running sequence with jazz was a relief.
Unification of species, there you have a revolution.

Anya literally just used Skull bash and sent a professionally trained adult russian soldier two meters away. Hilarious.

Anyway, it was a nice and very open ending. Looking forward to seeing any news of a second season someday. Shoot for the moon.

Great season finale to a great underwatched show. When it first came out, I definitely did not expect to like it as much as I do now. Really hope we get a second season, we need to see white haired UK vampire waifu in action too.

Glad it kind of worked out for Lev and Irina, even though they're still kind of the government's pawns, but at least they're together. The balls on Lev though, to announce to the whole world that Irina was the first cosmonaut. Fjodor Gergiev really took it as an opportunity to shit on the UK lmao.

Overall, really enjoyed the show, good romance and good real life inspired space plot. 8/10

Once the top guys decide to live broadcast the entire thing, they can only hope that Lev didn't say anything out of script. Maybe they can cut off the live broadcast and use "technical issue" as an excuse, but you should already know that shit will only bring more new problem rather than solve the existing problem.
