An anime project for Kouko Shirakawa's Koukyuu no Karasu (Raven of the Inner Palace) novel was announced by publishing company Shueisha on Tuesday.

Synopsis
Deep within the inner palace lives a special consort who does not serve the emperor despite her position, known as the Raven Consort. People who have seen her say she looks like an old woman, while others say she looks like a young girl. Stories talk of her use of mysterious arts and how she can take on any request, be it death curses to finding lost things. Koushun, the current emperor, goes to visit the Raven Consort with that intention, without knowing that their fated meeting will become a taboo that will overturn history. Shueisha began publishing the fantasy josei novel series under its Orange Bunko imprint in April 2018, featuring illustrations by Ayuko. The sixth volume went on sale on August 20. Koukyuu no Karasu has a cumulative 900,000 copies of its volumes in print.

Synopsis and clothing makes me think of a "darker" Story of Saiunkoku at first for some reason, art looks nice too. @Crow_Black might approve.

Hmm, intriguing, but I'll keep an eye out for further PVs before deciding to put this one on my list...

I cannot help but wonder what is with the women's obsession with the ancient harem structures. It was not a nice place to be.

This one seems good, by the synopsis at least so ill keep an eye on this.

The genres of this series seem to be historical, drama, mystery. It sounds good and looks very interesting.
btw, this series is reminding me of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, somehow.

Isekai and CGDCT living rent free to the point people bringing up in a thread that has nothing to do with it
Example guy above

Anyway their bitching aside this looks interesting looking forward to it

Also the setting seems limier to Yona (the world I mean) which is Bonus

Always preferred shojos with ancient settings (Yona, Snow white red hair) over current mordan day crap.

The artstyle reminds me of song of the long march.

Somewhat interesting premise, but I'm a little wary on the art. It's very good as it is, but translating it into animation may result in it getting reduced to something simpler. Though if they manage to capture it well, it'd certainly be a spectacle. I'll see what the first actual animation PV looks like.
Well I for one already loved Lain.

I'm so looking forward to this. It's really rare for shoujo manga/novel to get anime adaptation
