The amount of commentary and strategy involved in this episode is kinda impressive. Hyuse took the fall but at least he tried.

I'm also starting to find it hard to root for certain characters. Everyone seems to be contributing their assets to these matches.

I gotta say, as a manga reader, I'm fairly disappointed with how Toei has been managing the pacing of this season, which is a shame because round 7 and round 8 both are some of the hypest moments in the manga. If they keep adapting just two or three chapters per episode like they've been doing, then we're in trouble. Otherwise good episode.

This episode is crazy. Like wow. Though it felt way too short that is for sure. But the detail felt good there. Now the next round which is to happen in 4 days is going to be crazy. Now we all know that Ninomiya squad is gonna rock. But this can go both ways. Who knows.

I concur that the manga did round 7 more justice. But round 8 is where the real fireworks are. And season 2's final round was where the most impressive fights happened. Where the stakes are highest is the spot where you will find the most hype. I trust Toei to bring it home.

Hyuse losing in addition to the way the story treats Mikumo is why I love this story. No one is too nice to get their ass handed to them. With the exception of Tamakoma 1 and the No 1 attacker. Even in this pseudo sports/battle anime, an individual victory is never a sure fire thing. Which gives each fight much more tension. It almost makes plot armor irrelevant. That's why the manga, even currently, is a 9 outta 10 for me. This anime season is a 9 as well, but I hope the way they handle round 8 bumps my score up to a 10.

Nice that they won this time but well they still need to get qualified since they're 3rd one of the same place and only the two first ones will be able to pass, it's gonna be interesting

Based Azuma-san. If i were a border agent, i would kill to join in his squad haha

Jokes asides, i really think Hyuse character development is quite good. From an unbothered neighbor to reliable teammates.

Lastly, the discussion between Ninomiya-san and Kouhei Izumi from Tachikawa unit is interesting. I believes both of them still has a margin superiority if they are fighting Tamakoma-2, but they would be formidable opponent as Hyuse join the team.

But oh shit, Ninomiya is the last boss.

Glad that Hyuse wasn't the player that did everything the moment he joined. He didn't get all of the kills and he also got killed before the end of the match. That being said, he played very well, and it will be hard for many teams to stop Tamakoma now with all of their firepower. Now they just need to rise one more rank. That shouldn't be too hard, hopefully.

Wow, Hyuse is really thinking far ahead! And I like that he is really not afraid to speak out his mind about the orders that Mikumo is making. On the other hand, I am completely delighted with Kuga being supportive and understanding towards Hyuse. Tamakoma has a really good dynamics. Can't wait to see their future fights again!

In the end they scored 6 points and are now tied to second place which is pretty nice. Hopefully they'll make the cut by the end of it.

Hyuse really dislikes Jin eh. Also having Torimaru to mentor him has changed his ways.

He's the most reasonable guy in the show I guess.

He's one of the OG members of New Border, yet is only 25, yet gives off a vibe like he's 35. Still not as old as people that were in the original, though they're at the oldest about 48 in Kinuta's case, while Masamune and Shinoda are early to mid 30s

Smart trick by Azuma, taking advantage of how triggers function and using bagworm to fool Hyuse.

Why did this episode end as soon as it started? I bit into a cookie and it was over. It was like 5 minutes long.

Hyuse is very strategic. I hope Meganee-kun learns from him.

Azuma Squad looks like a family to me, 2 little children in the stage of growth, with a wise father and a mother who always warns them lol.
Anyway, yet again, I believe Ashihara-sensei is on another level at writing characters and their interactions.

Still tied, damn. Azuma is so good, wish he was still in the A rank team. I don't know if I hate or like Yuzuru with his love for Chika.
Come on man, where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece. We want it, Bones!

Osamu has major flaws he's refusing to face as well; Hyuse has flaws/makes errors, but genuinely and actively tries to improve. He may have learned before on TV, but now he's getting in-person experience of those mistakes. Hyuse is very important to the team as challenges Osamu's bad decisions, even though Osamu makes multiple good decisions that everyone recognizes is FIRE. Hyuse is also thinking like I would as opposed to the tunnel-visioned Osamu. The objective isn't to win here, it's to win both of them, think ahead. That was one of the purposed of keeping Hyuse secret in the first place, don't reveal all your cards.

If didn't make that bad call, I think they would have gotten 2 more points.
I want to see Hyuse's trion ability compared to Chika, what he's been doing is bonkers to my understanding. If his master has much more trion ability than him, then makes sense to sacrifice to the holy land.

I feel that, he wanted to try the lights on/off strategy, and got to do it. 100% worth.

Asuma-Squad's goal is not to rank higher, it's to get more and more competent. Asuma is training them, that is why has them make decisions and do stuff as much as possible, even though he is high-tier.
5/5, I'm annoyed with Osamu but happy with everyone else. Osamu did good, but his subjective over objective shot calling will get people killed.

These matches are ridiculous. Some teams are 3ppl while others are 4ppl, never mind the goofy rules when someone voluntarily bails out.

omg seeing the accidental score by Chika again in the recap was just as funny as the first time :D absolute comedy gold. Her power is so ridiculous.
