 The Aniplex Station Vol.3 AJ Studio stage at AnimeJapan 2021 announced a television anime adaptation of Jun Mochizuki's Vanitas no Carte (The Case Study of Vanitas) manga on Sunday. The production company also opened an official website, revealing the lead cast, production staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promo. The anime series will begin airing in July 2021.Synopsis There once lived a vampire known as Vanitas, hated by his own kind for being born under a blue full moon, as most arise on the night of a crimson one. Afraid and alone, he created the "Book of Vanitas," a cursed grimoire that would one day take his vengeance on all vampires; this is how the story goes at least. Vanitas no Carte follows Noé, a young man travelling aboard an airship in 19th century Paris with one goal in mind: to find the Book of Vanitas. A sudden vampire attack leads him to meet the enigmatic Vanitas, a doctor who specializes in vampires and, much to Noé's surprise, a completely ordinary human. The mysterious doctor has inherited both the name and the infamous text from the Vanitas of legend, using the grimoire to heal his patients. But behind his kind demeanor lies something a bit more sinister... | I was expecting an anime for this sooner or later, but Bones is a damn pleasant surprise, it's been a while since they've adapted a new shounen manga source material that is good. I love the manga so this is going to be a treat. |

| HOLY SHIT, Studio Bones is animating it? Never would've imagined, now that's a definite plus. Still wish it was a Pandora Hearts remake instead, a full adaptation of that series would've been a masterpiece. I'd put the manga of Vanitas no Carte on-hold since I honestly didn't like certain aspects of it, but maybe seeing it animated would give me a fresh perspective. |

| Interesting to see Tomoyuki Itamura again, this time at Bones. Pretty much curious to see if he'll inject some SHAFT influences in this one. Aside from that, I dig the premise. Watched Pandora Hearts before and I'd like to see more of Mochizuki's stuff. EDIT: Just checked the trailer, and yeah. The Shaft influences are all over the place, and it's juicy. |

| Hell yeah!! Ishikawa's a great choice for Noé, but Hanae's a bit odd for Vanitas. Hopefully he can pull it off. The staff selection is great, and studio Bones is a blessing! Here's to hoping that Pandora Hearts gets a remake adaptation... preferably by Bones. |

Bungo's team is Sub studio D and is helping out with sk8 Ohhhh interesting. I was just saying that because the demographics for both series are similar imo. Studio A has plenty of bangers as well, so all is good |

| I haven't even read this manga and I know this would be great. Coz it's done by Mochizuki Jun - the creator of Pandora Hearts. Just hope that the anime wouldn't be the same as the Pandora Hearts anime. And yeah, I really hope they bring Kajiura Yuki fir the music. |

| I still have yet to sink my teeth on this, but never a better time to say, a "remake" of Pandora Hearts, that followed the manga till the end, would be best news ever to me. Love the manga to death, hope this one is successful as well. |
