| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The old man, Mr Tanabe, had dead written all over the place during his flashbacks and monologues, especially with the music accompanied to them (he didn't die yet, and he might not in the end, but I was definitely expecting him to get taken out in a hilarious fashion during a speech and attack. The white haired girl, Kuon, found out that her power is a railgun type attack, and she blew up a building...I guess she didn't even think of checking if people were in the building she destroyed, since she said she didn't like violence. The way Yuri pretended that she actually was the one who blew up the building was hilarious. "My superpower, is acting". Also, more fan service just randomly shoehorned in, like they realized that there wasn't any this episode so they quickly added it in. The mystery of the world and the masks just keeps building. |

| Mayuko's pretty bad ass with the Mask's power now. Her fight with Ein was cool. Also Yuri was pretty badass when she shot Zwei. More info on the Masks and God candidate. So the power and type of the Mask depends on what type of mouth it has. A mouthless Mask will turn you into a god candidate it seems. |

Don't you also want to watch this show? With Huntress, Sarcasm Boy, the Big Brawler, Tropical Explorer and the French Cutthroat. I guess "closer to God" in the English dub is a literal translation from Japanese. And maybe that works in Japanese. "God Candidate" in the subtitles is much better in English. A good example of a translator's rule: You must write the way it would have been written, if it had been written in the target language first. |
| Basically, those who wake up near the mouthless mask is the luckiest one. But, of course they are in danger too if they are facing an evil god candidate. 4 god candidates has been introduced so far. |

Wearing mouthless masks can make you a god candidate and give you powers? Well, Kuon's ability seems OP, a railgun that she remotely controlled! But, is it possible to wearing another mask? In case of Mayuko who already wore a defective mask, can she wear a mouthless mask to become a god candidate as well?  |

| These episodes seem to fly by timewise to me! I really enjoy the corny plot with its over the top characters. Some times a crazy anime is just what I need to watch and this is a good one so far. |

| FOR THE FAMILY! Good thing Kuon with her overpowered ability saved them there (although Yuri's acting contributed a little bit). Seems like not just any mask will make you closer to God and only rare mouthless ones. |

| How is that guy that got a hole in his face because of the ball still alive? And where's the other kid? So many continuity errors. And honestly, it's hard to sympathize with Mayuko when she literally murdered someone (seemingly innocent) in cold blood not too long ago. Does the series really want us to forget such a serious thing like that ever happened? It's impossible, and it doesn't help that she's a hypocrite: telling the doctor guy that "your murders won't ever be forgived, but...", oh cmon, what a load of bull... Like you're one to talk, psycho child. |

| Yuri's epic acting abilities were the highlight moment of this episode. Kuon's obsession for Mr. Mask is getting on my nerves... I really don't want to see any random lovey-dovey between them. |

| Didn't expect that fight to end with no deaths. Even the moustached adventurer guy survived. Yuri's hammy acting paid off. Koolman511 said: "Ein" and "Zwei" are German for "one" and "two" respectively, but you may be right anyway, considering they're both masked.
