Ah, it's one of those days. Dealing with customers is a common norm and part of the learning process but some customers can be a pain.

Also, it's interesting they also focused more on Leo's character background. Personally, I find it interesting that they're trying to flesh out both main leads so far in the show.

Can’t believe it’s another Saturday already. Means more Arte, Hamehura, Kaguya etc. First up, more of our fave renaissance MC

Veronica came in real clutch this episode. Using her skills to help Arte be able to talk to Ubertino and negotiate

And it worked! Great job , Arte :) But. who would’ve thought he actually didn’t even like paintings and just wanted to show off. That’s a big investment just to impress other nobles and church higher ups

Leo’s come a long way from being a beggar to being a master. That really meant a lot to him to have Arte praise him for that. His eyes really lit up

Woah very quick episode, went by in a breeze like always. Always nice to get more of Leo’s backstory and see how far he’s come. Ubertino has been giving him consistent business for years as a fulfilment if his promise to look after him, really sweet. Can’t wait for next ep:)

Once again another client pops up at Leo's workplace, only for him to have an awful earful, for their love-hate relationship that covers towards Leo's character background. Starting off as a beggar but entrusted to his Master's keen-eye of equality, that's what molded his life.

And once again Arte has always been keen to go forward for Leo, so much so that she enlisted courtesan Veronica's help in teaching for successful negotiatons, and it succeeded in calming his anger down (and therefore, breaking the ice).

Like every object in the Renaissance age, they're there as collateral and nothing else, which makes Arte (through the client's opinion)'s profession a knick-knack job, but given her love for painting, there's no stopping her.

Simple episode, yet the events are connected well. Good job honestly, liked this episode.

Good episode. It's always good to know more about Leo.

Ubertino really is a nice guy taking care of Leo by being one of his clients.

Ubertino is seriously a cute old man. It's very touching how he cares about Leo and even Arte. Even though he and Leo don't see eye to eye, they're very similar. Perhaps, that's why they clash.

This was one of my favorite episodes even though it was simple. Arte learned the art of negotiating from Veronica and we learned that Leo's master did not give a fuck about someone's background, he loved Leo and even asked Ubertino to look after him on his deathbed because he cared so much about him.

I wish I had the strength of will to drop this anime. And yet it's braindead cheerfulness is strong enough to carry it past its whimsical historical over-simplifications. I hope it at least inspires thousands of Japanese kids to study Renaissance history.
...but then again, I unironically like Warau Salesman.

I really like this type of episodes focused on bonds between people. Both Leo and Ubertino san were worried about each other in their own way, that was sweet. Also lol it felt so weird watching Arte trying to copy Veronica.

Sweet episode. I could tell from the get-go that there was something more between Leo-san and Ubertino-san and the bit when he revealed his master, I knew it was coming. Really nice how they show concern for each other in their own ways.

One step closer for Arte to achieving her dream too, one might say. Nice to see her relying on Veronica-san a bit too.

Looks like it'll be an interesting episode next week too!

Leave it to Veronica to teach someone how to persuade men lol. Jokes aside, so far we got to see how determined Arte can be, but this level of confidence and persuasiveness was quite something. Even Ubertino was smitten by so much charm. Also liked the fact that Arte didn't hold his attitude towards art against him and that the series didn't antagonize him for it.

Leo's backstory was nice as well and it somewhat highlighted the value of tough love.

Overall another episode I enjoyed thoroughly.

The staircase motif is becoming a more prominent theme in this show, Arte's a far from Leo's talents, but his harsh teaching style makes more sense. We learned about Leo's teacher and how his critiques seemed cruel at first, but in the end he was cultivating his talents. Because Leo was a beggar, he had more motivation to succeed, unlike the other apprentices who were affluent.

I found it interesting how Ubertino said paints are mostly bought as tools, not by people with a love of art. It's interesting because artists, like Leo, barely scrape by because they love what they do regardless of the pay. The ones who learn to appreciate art aren't the ones who get to enjoy it. Excluding people like Veronica who's job is to gain knowledge to entertain others.

There's a lot of intruiging characterization and themes going on in this show.

Leo is a great teacher to Arte honestly. Sure, there are some questionable parts. But there are times where he knows the right thing to say to Arte to get her going. Now Arte has learned that there is more to her dream than just being great at art.

I believe that the story is already going at a fast speed, remember that Arte is working for Leo now for at least 6 months.
The feeling that the pacing is to slow does probably not come from the "pacing" but rather from the amount of action that's shown in this anime.

I have a little bit of contradictory feelings for this episode. On a positive note, this episode is really focused on art and the consumer. It's good to introduce negotiations as a part of business. I'm sure there are plenty of cases of unreasonable demands and it felt realistic with how the situation went down while exploring character backgrounds a bit more. The fact that Arte could rely on her friend for advice was an added bonus of sorts. A good week of training to get the job done.

On the other hand, this episode felt.. unnaturally long. Like about halfway to 3/4 of the episode I was tempted to pause it just to figure out how much time was left. I can tell that this episode was centered on Leo's relationship with Ubertino but it felt like nothing too important happened.

Welp, time for them to create some more art next episode.

So let me guess Ubertino buys Leo's works but doesn't have any appreciation for art. it was more like a way of keeping Leo in business.

Ubertino was one interesting fellow, I would like to know more about the connection he had with Leo's master and more about Leo's past too. It's also nice that he told Arte a bit about it after seeing just how interested she was in it. I also like how she went to Veronica for help with her negotiation skills. Leo-san seems to be a great painter, and to be able to deal with people in his own way, but I don't think that Arte can be like him when it comes to dealing with others so Veronica's advice about using all of the weapons she has at her disposal was good. The education she received as a noble was pretty much the deciding factor that made her succeed on her second try after all.

I was considering dropping this anime but I enjoyed this episode, even though it was predictible. I just wish Arte wasn't so dumb... I mean, she's smart and educated but she rarely shows it. I liked her attitude in the negotiations but she immediatly went back to overreacting to everything like a quirky child. That's probably my main issue with the anime.

I like the 'drop in' slice of life style episodic mini arcs; they lend themselves quite well to the pacing of the show, delivering consistent world building and characterisation.

We don't know what kind of people we truly are until the moment before our deaths.
As death comes to embrace you, you will realise what you are.
That's what death is, don't you think?

Finally, more back story for Leo-san. Its interesting to seen cause until previous episode, all focus always happen around Arte. So, its nice to knowing how Leo-san experiencing his past as an apprentice in the past. Yeah, its no good. The discrimination vibes really strong. Even it happened to Leo-san too while he still learn the art thing. Its a coincidence? No, its a fate, and very fine to me with that. Arte's really deserved that shit. Ehm, okay, i need to focus. Next.

Ubertino-sama such a typical old man. However the strong will really purged out his personality. Even my girl strong will Arte can't take a win over his hard rock mind. Gladly, Veronica served as a backup plan. Summary, Arte succeeded to negotiate the whole order. Its nice to see another side of ability Arte's had. Yet, as a noble lady, Arte really made effective to use over that nobles blood.

Ah, another great moment. The deep thought over the conversation between Ubertino and Arte really great. Even with that old man and Leo-san. Yeah, like the title, the forever bonding you made, never be broken at all mean. The carining side still be there no matter what happen. Yeah, a tsundere side effect, eh? Okay, i understand. The interesting part there where Arte told some retoric questions to make me smile: How could Arte's made the bonding with Leo-san to even closer? Idk. Lets see how the thing goes on in the near future.

I'm glad that they went into how paintings are used for business and politics rather than just love of art. And to see a more mature side of Arte in the 2nd negotiation was nice.
