Ah, another day of challenge and I love how this group uses every opportunity they can to discover whatever in the sky.

Also, I really do like how Mira and Ao together were able to unite everyone for the occasion and share their love of observing with the others. It's an unique experience after all.

Strive to achieve your dreams, their dreams are amazing and seem impossible but they do not give up to reach their goals. The whole thing is very interesting, the astronomical explanation is easy to understand, and also the previous episode I felt the separation senpai was very touching.

I enjoyed it, for some reason all episode went be so fast.
I know they where 22 minutes each but i had the feeling they where 3 minutes.

The characters where fun and so was the anime itself it was also informative.
The girls made some new friends and they got closer to their dreams.

Even as faraway as both Mira and Ao are, both still get the support of Ino-senpai, which is nice.

The Shining Star Challenge continues as Mira and Ao takes oppotunities with newfound friends to share their stories going forward, and experimenting more with asteroids in their small group research.

The journey now may wane on their research, but it's one step of a long way to helping the generation after them.

And back to school, where the entire character cast waited for their arrival to welcome them back. This journey has been months in the making, and all is worth it for how much these girls have went throguh the trouble to get to where they are now.

Connecting cosmos like dreams, the promise awaits them someday.

A good show.

This anime was just so peaceful. That scene of looking up at the sky was so relaxing honestly.

A very nice show indeed. Gonna miss it. Hope they do find a new asteroid one day!

And the journey ends. Well not really. The Mira and Ao still have their dream of finding an asteroid.

The rest of the characters welcoming Ao and Mira was nice to see. Nana-chan was cute.

A very good show.

Wow can’t believe it’s all over. What a fun and educational journey it’s been. First time I’ve ever had an anime speak to me about my first love, astronomy. Seeing all the girls grow and learn about star gazing was such a treat. Ao and Mira’s relationship was so pure.

Throughly enjoyed every moment of this. Even though they didn’t accomplish their goal in the frame of this short series, the lessons they learnt will be invaluable going forward both as astronomers and as women. I’m very proud of these girls. This isn’t an easy task at all, yet they’ve remained committed and have used the failures as even more motivation.

Sad to see this go, but I’ll definitely check out the manga

Edit: also sad to see such low a MAL score

Well, that was fun. A decent show with a decent ending. I could relate to that experience at the end where the journey was more important than the actual achieved goal so that was nice. 7/10.
Also, does anyone know where the anime stopped?

Great episode to conclude what has been a really nice healing and educational show! Astronomy was one of my few interests in the past so it was a touching ride too for me.

Mira and Ao got a little tease at victory at long last but this is undoubtedly one step closer! It's fantastic to see how they're keeping up their spirits like this. Nana-chan sharing a word in that regard was really to sweet to see, as well.

It's just been fantastic to see these Characters interacting and moving forward with each other. Loved all of the girls, and it's sad to see this go. Hopefully, we'll get more from this one day! Going to miss the soothing Op/ED themes as well.

Some glaring pacing issues in the middle phase of the cour but I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of the show nonetheless. So it's an 8/10 from me. Doga Koba never fails to deliver!

Nice little video for fans:

the end suggests a sequel, like many of the anime. Despite this, many of them do not have a season 2
I hope to have a sequel for this one, if possible Mira and Ao who concludes their romance
I give it the maximum score 10/10

This was a beautifully peaceful Anime.

It would be really cool if this would get a second season or a movie when both Mira and Ao are a bit older to finally reach their goal. That would so nicely fulfilling.

Anywho... it's really nice to watch something peaceful like this to brighten up the day. :)

An excellent school club anime!
The characters are charismatic and the relationship between them is well constructed.
The soundtrack and animation are above average compared to other school animes.

I hope Ao and Mira be able to keep their promise and find the asteroid.
A solid 8/10.

This anime is such a gem. Those twelve episodes really went by very fast. As someone that's a bit of a rockhound (and knows a thing or two about space) myself, I really had a high anticipation and you know what? I think this anime passed very very good.Heck, I could safely say it's ever my favorite of the season Winter 2020.

I highly doubt there is going to come out an season 2, but I hope atleast this anime has sparked someone else interest in astronomy and/or geology.

This anime resonates with my heart. The passion someone can have to achieve something and put time and effort in what he/she wants and learn that, it's really an amazing thing. Koisuru Asteroid did that! I hoped for them to found what they're looking for, but not everything is that simple and good to see they showed that in the anime. It only makes them stronger to achieve their goal! Now add Slice of Life to it and you got me hooked.

The music piece in the last episode while it was showing what the club members achieve, the memories and what they've done, was a masterpiece! I think it's called "優しく" (Yasashiku) meaning "Gently"! I can't wait till my Original Soundtrack of this anime arrives! Really loved the music in this anime.

Because of the last episode, I give this a 8/10.
Seeing the anime studio doesn't bode any hope for a Season 2... But I will still hope for one! As long as Ao and Mira want to find an asteroid, I want to hope for a second season!

This anime is the combination of two genres that I love the most, CGDCT and anime about passion. Even though it's not an anime that would catch your attention from the first few episodes, the journeys of the girls really made you attached to the characters. I'm giving it a 9/10.

This is exactly what I expect from Doga Kobo series (especially the i didn't really enjoy Wataten, Uzamaid and Dumbbell). Great atmosphere, very likeable characters and overall warmth (I could ever categorize it as iyashikei). Pacing was perfect.

I hope that thier next series (Houkago Teibou Nisshi) will be similar.

That was an awesome final episode. Of course Mira and Ao wouldn't discover an asteroid, it would have been nice to see them discover one but that happening was very unlikely. The source-manga hasn't ended yet and I can't imagine them finding one before that happens, because that's what the whole story is about. But it's cool to see that they now know what they want to do and that they got a chance to follow their dream in the form of the shiny star challenge, even if they couldn't fulfill their dream.

This anime was a generally wholesome experience, there were many different themes that really matched and made for a good story. As part of growing up there was the challenge of thinking about what to do with your life, we got people following their dreams and doing everything to achieve them and finally we had the challenge of accepting and understanding others' interests in the form of different specialisations in the same club which was forcefully merged together from other clubs. And that got us even so far that the characters aren't just understanding, what they others are doing and why the love it that much but also getting interested from what they are involved, at the beginning more involuntarily and later completely voluntarily, so much that they can even enjoy doing different things.

A big improvement in the show was the pacing, the first few episodes all had two or more storys stuffed into a single episode with topics that didn't match and a hard cut between storys at about half the way through the story. That was something that got much better over time, first the different storys worked way better together and in the final episodes there was no feeling of preassure from the upcoming end giving it a more relaxing pace which allowed for a more relaxing viewer-experience.

So overall I really enjoyed the show, the farther we got the more enjoying it got and made me love it more with every new episode. So now there is only one thing left to do: Pray we get another season, it would be a shame if it would end with that.

Pretty chill and wholesome show! Not the best Doga Kobo has produced but still a nice watch in the end!

Do have to say that Doga Kobo knows how to pick their CGDCT Anime! For an Anime to be about Astronomy and Geology, it did a pretty solid job, but unfortunately I am not too into it myself!

I stopped after episode 3 because I kinda focused on other anime. The 12th episode aired today so I figured I'd get back into it. Holy shit what have I been FUCKING MISSING!?

This anime was great! Severely underrated!

The BGN was so good and there were multiple points throughout the anime when I teared up. Mainly during the Valentines episode.

I told myself I was going to cry if they discovered an Asteroid in this episode. I would have been hyped!

I loved this anime, I loved the characters (which is rare because I usually hate one) Ao was my favorite of the Students but Sensei was the MVP of this anime. She came up clutch constantly.

If you do enjoy the subject matter (sciences) it doesn't give you enough though. I think this is like the sports anime of sciences. Not good enough to replace actual sports so it is annoying/boring. These last two finally go into depth for the subject but it is too little too late for me. When the Non Non Biyori movie has better space shots than this, something went wrong.

I just can't care about the characters either. The cute girls are the reason you watch CGDCT after all. This anime is kinda like that Antarctica Girls one but way less drama and much worse visuals. I do not know how this translates to a black and white manga but I can't see it doing very well.

Also the pacing in this show is absolutely terrible. Going through multiple years of school in 12 episodes all while everything is too calm and I fall asleep.

Would have dropped it a few episodes ago if I wasn't so far in. It isn't a bad show, just one that isn't for me. I enjoyed the Nekopara, Bofuri, and even Join the Pack more than this. Is this how others view CGDCT shows? It is one of my favorite genres and I just didn't get anything out of this one.

this show is actually decent it started off kinda slow and it's subject matter isn't the most exciting unless you share a interest in it but hell if last season showed you can have a CGDCT about beam rifling and still turn out alright that shouldn't be that big of a deal if everything else is good.

and the characters helped a lot i loved them all was nice each of them had their own goals to pursuit

gonna have to dock points for doing the gay bait time and time after time they never commit to it i swear, and the pacing in the later half being far quicker than it actually needed to be

ending was good felt nice seeing everyone together even though this camp arc kinda made me lost on what was going on i learnt some things and the new new girls were nice even if they felt like they replaced the new first years despite being side characters lol

A fun show all around: I studied some geology back in college and this was fun to watch. Overall, a 8/10 for me.

I found a blog whose author seemed quite knowledgeable on astronomy and went to lengths to explain everything, and reading through their posts on the anime helped me to better appreciate all of the science that did go into the show. It's clear the manga's author did do the research, and that counts for something.

@Noy_Telinu

That's one way to look at it. I don't know shit about astronomy, but even I wouldn't say that this series isn't enough to satisfy those who're looking for pure substance(well that depends on your standards, but apparently some were able to appreciate this show for being well researched), not to mention that this shouldn't be seen as some sort of replacement for the real deal. More as a little treat for astrotards(for the lack of a better word, not meant as an insult xD)

Let's take Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? as another example. As a fan of gym culture I enjoyed it for what it was and wasn't annoyed by processes that could've been elaborated better or explanations that were slightly off.

Not trying to dismiss your opinion, just offering another take.

While it was a little sad that Mira and Ao couldn't spot that undiscovered asteroid that they wanted, along with the other girls in their group, but all of them had a wonderful time taking part in the Shining Star Challenge as well as the friendship that they all made together. Their jumping picture by the beach made me smile. =)

Overall, this show deserves more attention during this season. The pacing might've been a little too quick at times and Chikage and Nana-chan were introduced a bit later than I would like them to. However, the show's soft visuals and charming main cast was its strong point. Not to forget, everything that it showed about geology, astronomy and meteorology was very informative and it's definitely got me more interested in these subjects than ever before.

7/10 is my final score. I hope more people check this show out. Easily one of the most relaxing and charming of this Winter season. =D

Mediocre SOL/CGDCT with two main problems, bland characters and subpar screenwriting. A good SOL would squeeze out interesting and engrossing scenes from the most uninteresting material; YC for instance did just that with two charming MCs and a great script. This had a subject that could have been fun but ended up being boring as hell as it had neither of the above. Absolutely nothing to write home about outside of that too, comedy, visuals, backgrounds, miniplots... all middling. 4/10

Nice way to conclude the series by having all the girls doing some stargazing. It's a shame Ao and Mira didn't discover a new asteroid but I'm glad they ended up having such fulfilling experience at that camp.

Overall and being honest, pretty standard Doga Kobo show though this one had a more educational approach than others. Truth be told, there were some rather lovely moments and learning more about an specific subject (astronomy in this case) is always nice. Not to mention the life lessons about finding what you truly want to do and stuff but for some reason, I never felt truly invested in the story. There were some pacing issues in two or three episodes and the personalities of most of the cast were quite generic and uninteresting at certain point.

As your typical CGDCT/SoL anime, it was nice and entertaining enough but personally, there are far better options out there.

6/10 - Okay, so now let's see what Doga Kobo can offer us in Spring with Houkago Teibou Nisshi and Yesterday wo Utatte.
