| I think that this was a single episode instead of five episodes, the full title is "Digimon Adventure 20 Shuunen Memorial Story: To Sora" which refers to the special episode of Sora specific, that aired before the movie Last Evolution Kizuna was released. |

| This is supposed to be 5 episodes right? According to MAL is it. I found it on my On Hold list with 1/5 and I wondered how they plan to release this. One episode per year? Or did I miss the remaining episodes? |

Friends. This is the best looking Sora in the series. So beautiful. I like how the flowers represent her friends crests. |

| A month or two back, I had spent some time to fully puzzle out Sora and my issues with her character out. What I ended up was a 1.6k words of her Adventure character and a realization: Sora's backstory in Adventure never got an end. Sure, Adventure makes it seem she figured out her issues, accepted and could now move on, ala Yamato, this isn't true. Her character doesn't actually go anywhere. And I think this short reveals that. It's been a decade and she's still moping over the same exact issues she did in Adventure. All this short added was the (stupid) "I want to be a normal girl" tidbit which makes zero sense... Until one realizes that Sora is the only one that hasn't benefited from being a Chosen Child. I'm not sure if that's intentional or because none of the staff truly knows what to do with her character that isn't "moping about being a grand master daughter and being the Mom" and stereotypical female roles. (I know, Japan and all.) Thus, all her actions stem from that Sora, at age 22, is basically the same person, at age 11 except she now wears girly clothes. There's no reason she should be in this situation if she had grown into a more healthy person nor would she wish to be "normal" (which to me sounds more like "I wish I was ignorant"). And if THIS is what caused her to lose Piyomon, that she's running away from herself (or a rejection of self) rather than evolving, I'd be much more open to the "losing of digimon partner" device. Because in some way, I think Piyomon understands what's happening -- that makes Sora's loss more genuine than Taichi and Yamato's. But that's only because the writers never bothered to ever develop her post-Adventure, so. Rei_III said: So... what about the other shorts? They're out now if you know where to find them. |

| damn why did they never dub these, I'm gonna have to watch the sub rather than skip them, just annoying as I'm connected to and nostalgic for the english dub. I'm also enjoying have these on the BG while I'm pre-occupied with other stuff. |
