| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Haha, Doc is still pretty much the comic relief of the group. What a goofball. The episode continues the adventure of the main trio right now and they even encounter a sorcerer and majestic cat. Melie is really fun to watch when she's normal. Seems like she's growing fond of her friends more and more now. On the other hand, there's her badass personality emerging yet again. I wonder how many times we'll see that side of hers this season lol. That debt though. |

| The adventure vibe in this episode was strong, Artemis is really a cool looking place. The ending got me also interested in what will come next. |

| Artemis is a really interesting place; it's a safe haven for sorcerers. Here, they aren't ostracized, persecuted or discriminated for being different. Here they are free to lead a happy life after they pay their initial debt. Of course it's really expensive, but it is so for a good cause, researching a way to lift the 'curse', and increasing their financial influence over the world so that they can protect their citizens, and we saw already that it works. And though some may say that Seth's 'naive' resolution of "changing the world" is cliché, and it is, I'm still impressed with him. He found a place that is 'like' the world which he wants to construct, but he immediately realized that Artemis existence doesn't solve the problem by itself. So, I guess that he will stay here with Mélie, and Doc to pay off their debts for a long time while looking for clues about Radiant, and training; and this works perfectly fine. Artemis is indeed a paradise, and you can't blame the sorcerers for wanting to live there, and protect it, but it's ultimately a form of segregation, and there is no guarantee that it will be able to always protect the sorcerers from the inquisition, and the outside world. |

| I wasn't paying any of that debt lol, I would have denied them both to my death bed xDDD This city is pretty sweet though, I personally love the aesthetic of it and what it stands for and its awesome how powerful it is both literally and figuratively. But I especially want to see more of those 13 great mages people like Yaga though....I love me some powerful characters so I'm hyped |

| I liked Seth's response. That Yaga oji-san seems interesting, I hope he will make a great character. That General Torque seems to be an interesting guy too, and he seems to be threatened by Seth's existence. I wonder what is Seth's true identity, I'm really really interested. This anime is good and I have high hopes for it. |

It may be cliched but I don't find it to be entirely naive. Rather I found his response to be sincerely honest. Seth knows how the odds are severely stacked against him and truthfully he may very well fail. But like he says, until someone actually tries no one will ever really know. Artemis may be a safe haven for their kind but it isn't the future. |

| I enjoyed this episode. I was a bit disappointed about some of the changes they made to the MLM (Master Lord Majesty) show, and I'm fearing we won't ever see the "Jean Pedrovitch de la Noche" scene from the manga, but it was fun to watch this episode nonetheless. But the attack of the Inquisitors and the "political stuff" around it was a pure mess. That was really incoherent and inconsistent plot wise. I mean, the Inquisitors can't kill the nemeses, they can't even touch them, they need the sorcerers of the Artemis to kill the nemeses, that's why they put up so much rules and paperwork to regulate the sorcerers on their missions. And that's why doc was so proud of his papers last episode (that didn't make any more sense either to me last episode to put Doc in jail). Inquisitors tolerate the sorcerers depending of the laws of the islets on which they have their missions. Also Dragunov is supposed to be a skilled witch hunter, what the hell was he thinking when attacking the haven of the sorcerers ? O__o I also don't like the fact they tone down the fact MLM is a pure megalomaniac asshole with a kinky personality, but can be generous at times. Also they removed the joke with Harry Potter, I was sad :/ |

| That cat is a bit weird but at least he is cute. The episode was enjoyable. I still don't know why the bad guys tried to attack that place but nevermind. |

| This is where I say, enough is enough, I guess. The whole joke about racking up debts make the characters feel so dumb.. and there's an adult (Doc) around that didn't do a single thing to stop it. Yea maybe it's kinda funny but at the same time, they had to dumb down the characters to make that happen.. and from the pages I've read from the manga that were posted by MAL users here, Seth is far from what they depict in the anime.. Then there's the whole Inquisition situation where the eyepatch dude had to do exposition to his soldiers, that was unnatural cause you gotta assume they already knew about it since they live in that world.. the unnatural exposition was more so for us, the audience.. again, just simple things like mishandling the exposition could make or break a series. Might read the manga someday but the anime has been very disappointing. The only episode I've enjoyed was episode 4. The whole thing about building a country for outcasts/magicians is pretty dope, but the series has been pretty lacking. |

| Fancy city they got there with their amazing talking cauldrons, debts, and a scamming cat ruler who puts everyone into debt...oh and did I mention debts.... I can see why Alma and Seth didn't live there besides wanting to protect the people outside from Nemesis attacks. |
