| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Cow Girl got introduced this episode. Thew witch lady also made an appearance too! I'd say that Goblin Slayer is somewhat of an approachable character when he's not fighting/killing goblins. There's some questionable content as usual.-I noticed they used some eerie music with narratives from Goblin Slayer to make some scenes feel more impactful. The opening song has a somewhat dark tune featuring most of the cast. This show continues to show its cruel world. |

| So they did make some changes compared to the manga but nothing to bad it was a bit less cruel tho. Anyway i don't really like the voice of the childhood friend i think a bit heavier voice would have been better. I liked the discussion between the priest and Goblin Slayer it was funny. |
| Good episode. Personally, I don't understand all the backlash this show is receiving, literally the first line of the episodes' say 'The show contains elements that viewers may find disturbing and that viewer discretion is advised', if you can't stand the stuff then just don't watch it. I'm pretty sure that's what that line means. We get introduced to the Goblin Slayer's childhood friend who had just left before his entire town was murdered by goblins. Took a liking to her. We also got glimpses of other character including some other Silver Ranks and a witch who I presume will join later on? It's kinda sad to see the attitude of other Adventurers towards Goblin Slayer, he's doing the work we need, shame no one recognizes it. The way Goblin Slayer narrated his story as the current quest was going on made the whole thing quite poignant but I can understand where he's coming from. I guess he is technically Doom Guy, built with pent up rage towards Goblins, his final line about how he was the goblin to goblins was really cool though. Receptionist is best girl. XD |

| Well I will admit the Opening was pretty cool. So far it seems to be following the manga fairly well minus a few details here and there. They introduced Cow girl for the first time and gave some backstory alongside Goblin Slayer's questing. My biggest complaint is the use of CGI, but that being said it was less noticeable in some parts. The ED was kinda poorly made but it's not like it's a huge deal considering it doesn't really add anything to the story or show overall. Personally I enjoy the manga so being able to see the adaptation is pretty cool so far. |

| I like how his perspective from his helmet is symbolic for his narrow goal to only hunt goblins and how he does it to constantly remind himself of the day the goblins tortured his sister-- as he saw it all happen through the narrow blinds. This man doesn't have any other purpose in life and isn't willing to look outside of it-- and I happen to think that alone is pretty genius. |
I know he never takes his helmet off, but this is ridiculous.  |

| I think, episode 2 made damn clear to everyone that the Goblin Slayer has very valid reason to do what he does. And you know well that he doesn't give a fuck what others say about him or his actions cause he knows he's right. |

| Thankfully this anime had the sense not to adapt the worst part of the manga into this episode and I'm highly grateful for that. Also, the castle scene also seems to go more along the lines of what happened in the Light Novel, rather than the manga. I am content. |

| Aww yeah High Elf next week! I really enjoyed the DnD aspects in this episode especially with the dice in the opening video. I love that Goblin Slayers realizes the position he's in just slaying Goblins and being a Silve, comes off as not really giving a fuck but slightly give a fuck. Enjoying the character development. Op and ed really awesome. |

| This was a pretty okay episode. We're introduced to the childhood friend and the reason why Goblin Slayer is who he is. I liked how they went over his daily routine of checking over the house, interesting to see each step he goes through daily to check for scouting goblins. I also liked how she learned a new spell, shows shes starting to grow as an adventurer My biggest complaint about the episiode is the CGI with GS. To me it looks so awkward when the background is well animated, the childhood friend is animated well, then you have random CGI GS standing there. I feel like it doesn't blend well. As far as adapting the manga, they did skim over some parts and didn't put in all scenes, but that's not the end of the world manga readers. Overall, okay episode, excited to see what happens next. Just not looking forward to CGI Goblin Slayer. |

They pretty much follow the manga in how they show what the goblins did to his village and didn't skip anything. Maybe you were referring about how it went by too fast, but there isn't a need to show everything the goblins did in graphic detail to see why he would turn insane and want to kill them. |

| This was actually really nice and relaxing to watch. A slow little show about a guy so professional, he becomes almost cute. And an OP by Mili? Damn, what a brilliant choice, hope they do more in anime. Imagine a depressing slice of life with a full Mili OST. Yum. |

| I didn't have a chance to say this in the first episode thread, but I really don't see what the big deal is with the "gore" in this show. I'm starting to think the words "gory" and "dark" are being used too loosely. I heard about all the craziness that was going on after the first episode and expected to see worse than what we actually got. Sure, the first episode was pretty fucked up, don't get me wrong, but to say that was dark? Come on, it wasn't even that bad, and again, I thought it was going to be 100x worse. Anyway, in terms of this episode, we got some backstory on why Goblin Slayer is like this and of course we got to see more goblin-killing action. There wasn't really anything bad in this episode compared to the first so hopefully the prudes can get through this one with no issues. |

| Goblin Slayer slurping soup with his helmet on was funny. I'd at least expect him to take it off while eating, but nope. Gotta stay consistent. I find the voice of his childhood friend kinda annoying. Anyways it was a good episode. |

| What a good episode. I was hoping the GS would have time to tackle all three quests but I guess you cant do it all. I guess he narrated his own past and his childhood friend only avoided it cause she went to the city that day? I'm amazed she turn out okay. Lelouch0202 said: Good episode. | Are people seriously upset that they didn't animate /that/ scene from the manga? It was one of the lowest points of the manga. Be glad they skipped it in favor of the Light Novel series of events, otherwise it would have stripped the scene of any and all tension |

From what I've read, this adaptation focuses more on adapting the LN than the manga. But I still have not read the novel in order to confirm it... I will eventually. |

| VA choice for the childhood friend was pretty poor. It really doesn't go well with the overall vibe of the series. I went to read the whole avaible manga after the first episode so it was a little disappointing. I feel like the balance between action and characterisation was off and they omitted some either important or impactful bit. Directing was pretty lacking, especially when it comes to the flow of the episode. CG was also pretty pointless but at least not jarring like in most cases. It was still very noticeable but mostly because I was constantly thinking why use it in such way at all. A definite drop in quality compared to the first episode but still one of the only two series I'm actually looking forward to this season. |

| what i expected: Goblin Slaying what i got : Goblin Slaying 9/10 not enough goblin slaying we’re in for a good time. this series got way too much uneccesary exposure because of the last ep. ya’ll realize this is just a goblin slayer killing goblin right, the next episode will be like this, and the next, and the next, and the next. the one who loves goblin slaying, stick with it. and the tone of this episode is really calm, like there’s no catchy bgm or something, nice. the op is good too it’s pretty good so far |
