Alright, man. All goggles don't work the same. Respectfully, perhaps you're the type that needs to see them kiss passionately in the night to be convinced. I am not. Not in the slightest, my good sir. If I'm reaching I'm reaching, but these two were certainly on the radar for me ever since I started the anime. Starting the manga changed nothing for me.

As far as your confidence in your observational skills, I've no way to convince you that they're inadequate even if I may feel that way. If you're truly adamant in your stance that there was no subtext, no teases, no content that leaves something to the imagination, not a single hint of attraction, or anything to that effect, then you probably do need to see a passionate kiss in the middle of the night.

Predicating the chapter on the premise that everything up until now was merely platonic, or perhaps your ignorance or cluelessness to the nature of the events that you deny, sure. The event came from left field. The sheer abstrusity of the idea that, even with the passionate kiss, some of the events leading up were a bit more than what you were willing to accept.

in which case, I'd say you're just making an argument from personal incredulity, especially with the way things panned out. You were unable to reach the conclusion on your own, or fathom the concept at hand, so you ironically assume that I'm the one adhering to absurdity.

In which case, I'd say you have also already conceded that you didn't see it coming and pondered the idea - in the midst of what would have otherwise been subtext - that perhaps you had simply overlooked the hints.
