1. Wrong forum.
2. Calling it a masterpiece is stretching it.
3. Could have been good, if it had more episodes.

Overall it's neither good nor bad.

It was interesting. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, though. It didn't even have a conclusive ending.

I liked it but the manga is so much better and you should really read it, same thing applies to Rosario + Vampire.

Only watched 2 episodes then dropped after knowing the anime isn't finished.
Better switch to manga.
You shouldn't use the word masterpiece so lightly, there are tons of animes that are on a different level than the ones you rated 9 and 10 op.

I liked it, but it won't get a second part sadly. Might read the manga at some point.

The anime is pretty bad imo.
The manga is mediocre. It's fun to read and def worth it, but it is not even close to being on the level of "masterpiece." It's closer to being called trash in all aspects but art and characters.

Manga is much better than the anime... I love Deadman Wonderland, but the anime was not that good, left out characters, plot and was rushed... Ending sucked too... Read the manga

Good action, good animation, badass opening, entertaining story with some good twists, but crappy inconclusive ending. Needs a 2nd season. 8/10

Deadman wonderland is a terrible anime. It had a few decent episodes but other than that it is edgelord material for teenagers that never seen an anime that has blood and gore before.

I watched the anime back when I was...11, I think. Now I'm 18. So my opinion, if I watch it now, will probably change.
But I remember back when I watched it, Deadman Wonderland was over-the-top, gory, badass, a little serious, but clearly not meant to be taken that seriously compared to the kings of edgy anime, Akame ga Kill and Tokyo Ghoul.

Loved it when I first watched it, OP song is so good. You'll probably end up reading it after finishing anime, check out Smokin' Parade too.

I really enjoyed the show especially the visuals and the fight scenes were amazing but, calling it a masterpiece is taking it too far, it would have been if it had a second season!

I remember when ppl said Deadman wonderland and Anohana as being anime of the season back in spring 2011. Steins; gate has a 7.90 rating back then iirc. Turns out Deadman wonderland is a huge disappointment.

First episode was kickass and cool. Then episode 2 came and I immediately didn't care about the show anymore. I've never soured on a show that quickly. It's just so much edginess without actual substance behind it.

Bad.

I've read the manga but I don't remember if I did actually watch the anime in its entirety (pretty sure about the 1st episode). The premise sounded good but usually all anime premises sound good just to disappoint, it's like the authors put more work in the premise than the work itself.

I usually put Deadman Wonderland on the same level of Tokyo Ghoul, rather typical battle shounen but edgy and gory with an interesting premise (however TG's premise is definitely more interesting to me).

Yeah I can agree on the artstyle being good but that's like the only thing I would praise the manga for.

You liked it? Eh, good for you, you'll have to read the manga to finish the story. You might like other manga that I disliked like Happiness and The Promised Neverland.

I found it to be awful. It tried too hard to be dark, but all it could offer was just a lot of pain and sadness, but nothing close to horror, saying nothing with substance about reality. If it's your first pessimistic work then okay, but as someone experienced with Ligotti it looks pretty lame.

It also head a dead protagonist who does nothing and desires nothing.

Overall I enjoyed it. I'm really intrigued by Shiro's backstory, though.

Shame there isn't a second season to explain it all. The ending was too abrupt; it didn't even feel like the anime studio tried to make it feel like the last episode.
