Welcome to the NHK...err, my profile.
I'm from Minnesota and I currently work at a grocery store as a department manager.
Anime:
Long time anime fan here, though my geek-dom is not entirely limited to it either. I first got introduced to it back in middle school in 1996, and decided to check out more of the medium. I ended up watching a marathon of Dragonball Z, which made me want to check out more anime shows. Thus I watched the entire Toonami and Adult Swim lineups as well as the Encore Action Channel's catalog as well.
My taste in anime is pretty broad as I enjoy just about any genre. My favorite genres are Sci-Fi, Action, Romance, and mystery. My favorite demographic is Seinen though I will watch others too like Shounen and also including some Shoujo and Jousei if they're interesting enough, despite being a guy. Genere's I generally don't care for include Shounen-ai/yaoi, magical girl, and sports stuff, however there are even a few exceptions to those as well.
Manga:
As for Manga, I'm not a real huge fan of it at least not compared to my anime consumption. However, I do follow a decent amount of series. Normally I read manga or novels because I've seen the anime adaptation and want to know the rest of the story. I do most of my manga reading via legal English releases, usually paperbacks. I've been burned more than few times doing this so my policy lately with them has been to buy new releases of manga and novels right away to show support and hopefully the series won't get dropped before I finish reading it. Sadly this means I have a huge book backlog now of stuff I haven't read yet. I also read a few h-manga as well, mostly because they're short and easily completed.
Novels:
I read more of these than I do manga. I'm a slow reader, so it takes me a long time to finish them, but I read EBooks or listen to audible books on a daily basis. I mostly read the series I was introduced to through the anime in order to see how the rest of the story turns out.
Collections:
I have a sizable collection of anime DVD and Blu-rays as well as smaller collections of manga, novels, anime OSTs, and a few figures. The biggest one is my anime collection.

There is a brief period where both methods are used in conjunction with each other 2000-2005.
Indeed, agreed. it's really enjoyed the aesthetic beauty of visual graphics on various eras. (a great different experience)
Modern anime 2005+, are created mostly by computers and look smoother.
however, the weakness the impact of this controversial matter very prominent.
As time goes by, animation production accelerates and the industry experiences positive and negative impacts simultaneously.
things that are often complained about and are not realized, the writing in stories and the execution that is applied to animation-
really poor-writen. Still, often, (most of) the production only gives the impression of recycling with simple tricks (fancy graphics) pleasing to the eye, so that quantity is prioritized over overall content. that reducing the artistic value and original aspects of the story.
With the development of technology and times, this cannot be utilized optimally -
Anti-criticism things like this will also become dangerous in the future.
as long as they can sort and keep up with the times. "depends on people's perspectives too"
As we know, every era has its own gold. and the most consistent in the 00's+ (a matter of numbers).
Might that's all I emphasize to represent their opinion ― nothing is unreasonable, if think about it rationally.
conclusion, there in fact is not better. but there is a decrease in quality.`
