My name is Kurt Irving and I got several hobbies. Speaking of hobbies, one of them includes keeping track of non-anime cartoons and so far, I've only seen 165 (I have known cartoons for 26+ years and it would be great if I could talk to long-time cartoon enthusiasts who share the same experience that I do). If you want to know my age, I'll give you a hint, my zodiac is the snake (earth). As you probably know, Valkyria Chronicles is my favorite video game (aside from the two Gungrave games).

How I rate my anime:

7-10 (nice/fantastic/excellent)

4-6 (average/mediocre/tedious)

1-3 (appalling/horrible/unbearable/garbage)

P.S I'm an action comedy fanboy (albeit having a love/hate relationship with shounen) and I love hard bop music. Remember, all entertainment is subjective.

Update: I barely read graphic novels or light novels anyway because I have little time for basic literature

Another update: Let me be frank and tell you that I never liked Kyoto Animation (their anime and what they assume is their absolute best aren't good enough). Sorry but not sorry with absolute sincerity. I.e. that their anime has been boring to me since the 2000s.

2024 update: I'm currently improving my Japanese and ambidextrous writing.

Summer 2024 update: Kiddy Phenil is my other favorite character, I bet most of you dweebs don't even know who she is. Thinking about adding me on Discord? Well then, you must ask first.

Love a good JRPG! I see the Wild Arms was a Kickstarter. It looks good! Kinda like if Xenosaga met Trigun.

I would also like to see more neo-Western genres fandoms and franchises. It's a neat concept!

Hi there, oh thanks. You know me I still pop in here once in a while just a cat =^_^= always coming back. Glad you have some plans for Black Friday, especially having to do with nostalgic games. I don't always but once in a while I do go back and replay some of my favorite games as a kid like FFVII and Kingdom Hearts. Good to relive nice memories :).

Also wow, your knowledge of anime and video games is high level since you have mentioned very interesting ones and many that I have not heard of. So thank you for broadening my horizons lol.

I hope those games do get released close to your Bday, it would be a great birthday gift for sure.

I've studied Japanese literature in the university and now I am working in Japan and guess any language is what you are studying all your life (I'm preparing for JLPT N1 for now, it's a challenge actually)
Shamed to say, but I watched all Ghost in the Shell quite a long time ago so don't really remember all details, but I loved music in the movies, and I'm fond of that category of anime with realistic visuals, which make you think it can be compared with a good live-action show (though I doubt this comparison is correct).

I love Maaya Sakamoto too. What are your favorite roles of her?

My Halloween was fun. My husband and I hosted a Halloween dinner party and invited some friends. We eat, watch movies, play games. I dress up as Taylor Swift and my husband as Travis Kelce.

I'm almost finish with reading Bleach. I'm on the last 2 arc. I might be finished by the time the tybw finish.

I'll be honest, the randomness of your comment popping up on my profile made me wonder if someone's testing out an AI bot, lol. I did have a semester of Japanese at uni, but it's nothing much in the grand scheme of learning languages. As for GitS, I fear I can't give you an adequate excerpt of my thoughts on it right now, as it's been far too long and I have seen and read many a thing since. At one point it starts to amalgamate and becomes increasingly difficult to separate which thoughts and feelings originate from which source. I'm trying to be better about noting my thoughts after finishing something, but back then I did not, haha.

It's not that I'm learning Japanese, I just memorized a bit watching anime for 14 years. As for Natsuki, I like how calm she is. I don't like these over-optimistic and over-energetic types.

I have candy ready for the kids to come trick or treat and get from my house. I will be watching Hocus Pocus 1 and 2 while I wait for kids to come. I have never seen the second one. I've never seen Sonic X either, but I really love the Sonic games. The original Sonic of course, but adventure 2 battle is my favorite of the franchise.

Blue Gender just wasn't my cup of tea, but I could see why others would like it. Just not what I was looking for in the moment is all. I might go back for it one day.

Kuwashima, Houko is someone I know better for her work in Hakuouki the samurai shinsengumi anime.
