question, i believe you are on the side of earth that will be able to experience the eclipse in a few days, meteor shower and planetary alignment , some people believe cause this is all happening in one go, so much energy will shift around, please do tell me if you feel anything different
i just finished watching midnight occult civil services, highly enjoyed it, Huēhuecoyōtl is funny, i liked his character development
I can't comment too much on the FF7 remake since it's the only one I've ever played of the old ones sadly so I don't really know what all was not put into the remake version. I have no idea what I'm missing lol.
When is the new Macross movie supposed to be out? And yes I hope Vic Mignogna will be able to do that role. I haven't heard much about him lately. :(

I bet lunar and arc the lad are fun. I've been getting back into my hogwarts legacy. Wanting to finish everything in the game. Working on some puzzles at the moment. Though the last one made me feel dumb XD.

Jade Cocoon is the most original Ghibli game you have ever played? What about Ni no Kuni? Have you just not played that one before?
You capture monsters in cards? That sure does sound like Card Captor Sakura. Arc the Lad 3 sounds like a pretty fun game from the way you describe it.
I have to say I couldn't agree more. I truly feel like the overworked critique of capitalism and technological overreach especially needs some sort of change. I could always go for a socioeconomic inequality story, but those tend to blend in with the overt disapproval of capitalism.
Cyberpunk for me is mostly set in a lawless subculture of an oppressed society dominated by tech, but it's so true that it needs to have some sort of relevance. Since I'm in the tech industry I tend to be a little picky with the sci-fi I consume. So when a concept is too outside of the realm of possibility I lose interest as it becomes pure fiction with no actual "science". It is possible to break the norms of cyberpunk yet still have an impactful, innovative story.
I don't think I would ever grown out of the genre in its entirety, but perhaps cyberpunk is seeming less interesting to some when they already exist in that world. Nothing is impossible, so I will definitely still take a glance at what the subgenre is offering.

I think cyberpunk is already pretty unconventional as a genre
as an arab i wish i worked there to give them more of our mythos and demonology XD
there is only one in the game which is ghoul (a type of zombie)

I actually didn't watch Arc the Lad, but I see it's based on a tactical rpg, have you played the game? I'm a casual gamer and esepcially love trpg, so I wonder if the plot of the anime can compare to the game?
Regarding anime on cable TV - I was mostly watching anime when I was a kid (like 7-10), and only got back into it when I was around 15, when I could speak English and didn't have to rely on dubbing ^^ CCS is still one of favorites, but I also watched Digimon, Pokemon, Inuyasha and Fruits Basket back in the days ^^
Since it's the year of the snake, I expect to experience many wisdom moments
To be honest I'm excited for the remaster of the first 2 suikoden games coming out in a few days
Yet at the moment I am playing persona 5 royal, since I didn't get to before
Was using a walk-through to get a 100% completion but I messed up and now I'm just trying to salvage what I can xD

I have not seen Arc The Lad yet. From the description it looks interesting. I know a little bit of Japanese to get my way around towns. I still struggle to maintain a conversation.
