| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah, Pokemon. How you fill our lives with whimsy Jigglypuff and twisted Gengar. This is the first and, I think, the ONLY discussion on Pokemon Generations. I have to admit, I really loved how they showed a game footage of Pokemon Red, as a way to give us a 'remember love' moment. But the scene that took my breath away, was when Red ACTUALLY popped out and appeared on the Game screen. That was awesome, can't we have more of that?  Notice how his face is obscured and that he is silent By the way, I did notice something, none of the Pokemon actually say their name like in the main series anime, but rather do animal noises, which is good and gives an edge of realism (Would you rather have a Tyranitar roar, or say it's name really LOUDLY? One of these is scarier than the other) So let me know how you felt when you watched this episode in the forum, I really look forward to it. |

Do you realize that Tyranitar never says its name in the anime, right? Many Pokemon like Charizard make noises (Charizard's roar for example is very iconic and it doesn't recemble anything like a normal animal) Dialga and Palkia's roar doesn't even recemble normal roar making it even cooler. Pokemon dont need to make animal noises to be more realistic (its Pokemon for that reason). Also this is not being faithful to the games because since gen 6, Pikachu says its name. |
| Didn't like the episode to be honest. It was just another Pikachu video which i'm fed up with seeing it everywhere in anime and manga. The only good thing about this episode is that Bulbasaur got an appearence this time. Unlike that stupid Origins ova. |

Otherwise I would've never made the reference (And thank Lord Helix for that) I'm sorry if I made a little error in my verdict, when you watched the worst Pokemon ever gave us, you too might forget (or worse, DIE!! I had to make a wish with Shenron JUST to make it to episode 4!) But thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it. And a happy new year. P.S. - TBH, I too was disapointed when Pikachu didn't say it's name. It's like making changing the plot of Yu Gi Oh to market to a younger audie....wait, too late. Eh, at least Red's appearance was cool. |

| Lovely... so much memories.... the Weather Institute was perfect especially the wooden bridge. Istg Pikachu has so many designs. I think this one was from RSE. |

| The way the Pokemon fight is so fluid, its like they actually have a brain to move individually, without having to be told what to do every second. |

| Man I remember watching this episode on youtube when it aired. I guess that knock-off red known as ass ketchup was in kalos' final stretches or in the begining of alola Was it 5 fuckin years ago ?! Time sure flies |
