| Wait,is there a way to control the weather without a devil fruit since she already possesses the soul-soul fruit.Sanji acts tough to Luffy,because he wants to protect the crew and also doesn't want to lose his hands.Ofc Luffy doesn't believe him and it seems they are going to clash.The chapter was enjoyable and cannot wait for next week. |

| Great chapter. Luffy wrecked Cracker sending him flying all the way into town. Interesting info on Big Mom, She can summon thunderclouds and the power of the Sun. I guess lightning won't have any effect on Luffy but fire maybe. Classic Luffy just dashing towards Sanji with not a care in the world, He was actually pretty overjoyed to see him. Sad that Sanji had to act the way he did, Especially with his hands being held hostage like that. This does feel reminiscent of Enies Lobby, Not that I'm complaining, I love it. XD Wonder if we'll see Luffy vs Sanji. |

| First Nami, then Robin and now Sanji...it's not that I hate the events that happened in this chapter, but when we've already seen something similar happen twice before (the whole "I'll push my friends away and suffer on my own" thing), it just doesn't have the same impact. I'm curious and excited to see what Oda will do to make things interesting despite recycling some ideas. The potential Luffy vs Sanji fight is already a good sign. And Big Mom controls the weather!? Could this mean she is another person with more than one Devil Fruit power? |

Yep, I have a similar feeling about this. Oda relying on a trope that has been overused through the series was kind of a letdown, but on the other hand it seems he'll make this interesting by taking it to another level. Neither Nami nor Robin tried to fight against the crew, let alone Luffy, so it's definitely an interesting scenario to develop. On the other hand... is it me or were the characterizations a bit, ehm, different than usual in this chapter? I was very surprised by Luffy's words when he was talking about the trickery and the time they spent at the Seducing Forest. They sounded way too down-to-earth for him, even pessimistic at some point. Heck, Nami was actually the cheery and positive one here. Big Mom's new reveal is too wtf and we don't have much information yet about the mechanism of his newly found abilities (and how they match with an already established devil fruit), so I think I should wait to how all these things (Luffy vs Sanji, Big Mom's ability) are developed to have a definitive answer on whether I like them or not. The subplot of Chopper and Carrot looks like it's being a lot of fun, so damn you Oda for not showing this. |
| Well this behavior from Sanji is kind of expected, he's clearly acting but that's what he's going to have to do in front of his family. Unlike when Nami and Robin did this, we're actually going to see a fight this time, which makes sense since Sanji is probably the only member of the crew besides Zoro who could really give Luffy a run for his money. Nami/Robin vs. Luffy wouldn't have been exciting, plus Luffy is already tired and injured while Sanji has been chillin, so that could give him an advantage. I'm very interested in how Big Mom has that weather power. It doesn't seem like something you could just do naturally, so the only possibility besides a weather-controlling weapon like Nami's would be a DF. This is probably not even close, but maybe she absorbed the soul of someone with that power and, therefore, absorbed the power as well. Also, I initially didn't give a shit about the Chopper/Carrot mirror adventure, but now I kind of want to see what the hell is going on in there. And lol at the other Vinsmoke brothers falling in love with Nami. Guess it runs in the family. |

I mean he can't do anything that would make Luffy leave... anyway, I'll be happy so long as Luffy repeats the line he told Usopp: No one can leave the crew without the captain's permission |

But I guess Sanji does need to act like a douche with Zeff and his hands on the line. 4Real tho, Arlong and EL all over again. I'd love a Sanji vs Luffy so hope Oda adds some nice twist to it that differentiates it from the previous ones BM's abilities intensify O_o And seems like Commander Snack wasn't a pushover so the Urouge hype is real I guess lol |

| Amazing chapter! Good to see Luffy as careless as ever, makes me really happy. :-) I didn't really like Sanji's reaction but I understand he had to act like that. There's no way he would risk Zeff's life and his hands for his own happiness. Curious to see Luffy vs Sanji and how Sanji wants to bring Luffy to leave him. The resemblance to the events on EL is quite obvious right now and I'm really curious where Oda is gonna go from here. Also I really wanna see Big Mom's powers, hyped for that! |
| I was kind of hoping Oda had a somewhat original way to handle this situation. But nope...let's do the Robin situation one more time. But with some of Nami's arc sprinkled in....wait does that make it more or even less original? I'm not even going to give Sanji credit for his actions here. Zeff is always going to be a hostage for the rest of his damn life if he doesn't do anything. This doesn't help anything. We already had way back in the early arcs that Zeff didn't want Sanji to stupidly sacrifice himself for the restaurant. Now we have to cover him not wanting Sanji to sacrifice himself for Zeff? Oh well, let's see where this goes. Hopefully they don't drag out the lie, have Luffy lose/disappear, only to find out the truth and go back in to fight anyways. |
| Sanji's reaction kinda reminds me of what Nami & Robin did in the past lol.. And what Gray did to Natsu in an arc in Fairy Tail (forgot what arc) :p guess the end of this arc will be full of tears. |

| Overall, another great chapter. We discovered that the card Nami has is very, very powerful and she knows how to use it. Chopper & Carrot are still running in mirror world. Cracker has been defeated outright and the crew reunited with Sanji. Like others I am also getting a similar feeling of this as the epic Luffy vs Usopp fight. We know why Sanji is doing what he is doing and we know Luffy won't let him go. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the next chapter. Finally, I am curious to see when Jimbe shows up,(he is still there somewhere). |

| Sanji = Usopp + Robin. Done right. I think Big Mom's soul power can manipulate the wheather through awakening. The Vinsmoke Brothers have the same reaction as SanjI's usual Brock/Takeshi reaction. |
| Sanji going on forced high and mighty speech was meh :( I don't think big mom has 2 df or everyone would know about it, it's an awakening power and maybe she has the same tech that nami has that manipulates weather and she puts her soul in. |

| Not exactly happy with this one. Sanji going the Robin route is a bit stupid imo, he has always been the smartest of the men in the strawhats so I would expect him to come up with some plan. But still, most of what he said could be understood in two very different ways. "I'm sure the world's biggest idiot can tell which of the two is the better option", "You guys really need to read between the lines", "You stay out of this I'll be the one to take all these trash to where they belong" All this could also be interpreted this way : "I really want to go with you but please understand, don't butt in, I have to deal with this stupid family myself" I think he doesn't expect Luffy to understand but it's possible these words are for Nami who is a bit more clever |
