| Can someone tell who was Kaneki quoting in this chapter? Ps. Have anyone noticed that chessboard sky is turning pure white in the chapters when Kaneki is saying goodbye to Arima? |

| Great chapter. Interested to see how the Tatara fight will go. Maybe Takizawa will get involved, given that both Houji and Akira are there. We still haven't seen Naki do anything either, but I think he's more likely to head for Suzuya squad. That panel of Matsuri crying looked very rushed. Like more than any panel I've seen in :re. I know these are low quality scans, but I still think it looked weaker than usual. I'm always surprised at how good the art Ishida does is every week though, so one off panel is nothing. |

Anyway, I think Haise is gone with Arima, yes, but Haise was like the good part of Kaneki (the white in the chessboard) and the chessboard turning completely white means that Haise left something pure inside (stained-black) Kaneki ...in this case he left the time spent with Arima, that was like a father to him. Just what I like to think. |

| Beautiful resolution between Haise/Arima's relationship. The symbolism this chapter also helped bring everything together. The whole situation with Marude and Yoshitoki obviously sketchy as all hell. Lastly, some screentime with Tatara/Hoji. About f*cking time... |

| This was a bittersweet chapter.... Arima is gone. I'm happy Kaneki was able to say his goodbye. :) The last words, though... <3 Arima gave Kaneki his name, killed him, and gave him hope... Arima really was both a teacher and father. I am glad to know that Kaneki will get assistance in leaving... It was nice to know that Arima did his best to look after Kaneki. I don't even know what's going on with CCG anymore... :/ |

| -Hirako confronts Kaneki. He doesn't seem hostile. We see the Squad 0, they're really sad. Hmm, I was one of those who though that Hirako disliked Arima, I was wrong. He's a bro, and so are the rest of the Garden kids with him. -I didn't really understand what happened here. At first I thought that it was Matsuri who massacred them, but shit, it wasn't. He's screaming his lungs out. Finally, the thing I was waiting for. Fucking Tatara, this better live up to the hype. Houji is prepared to die, and Tatara is intorduced as extremely powerful as can be seen by the massacre behind him. -Back to Hirako and Kaneki. Hirako gave him the present Arima got from Haise for Christmas. Hmm, is that the poem he was singing back in V14? Seems like it. Damn man, the feels. Final farewell to Arima. Arima left a legacy behind him, may he rest in peace. |

| Wow. Honestly forgot everything else that happened in the chapter once I read the Arima part. That was amazing, and in that one page you could almost consider him and Ken as real father and son. Can't believe there will be no more Arima from now on. His whole life just... sucked. I hope he at least considered the moments spent with Haise/Ken as precious, because otherwise that's just depressing, which Ishida may or may not have intended. | Pleased to see that Arima at least got a proper farewell. Awww! Matsuri actually cares about daddy :p I couldn't help but laugh at Yoshitoki being killed off screened though, like seriously man? xD Houji has been avoiding the fade from Tatara for years now and it looks like his time is finally up. |

| This chapter was beautiful, everything strung together and the symbolism was crazy. Just when you thought the story couldn't get anymore tragic. Kaneki has learnt so much, we'll see a new, stable side of him now. Our protag has come so far. ;w; |

| One of the most emotional chapters in the entire series. R.I.P Arima. "You were my teacher and my father" So excited to see how Kaneki will act from here on out. Thanks to Arima he now has the will to live again. |

Amon in the first serialization and now Arima, somehow their battle with Kaneki was a bit similar, I mean all three really didn't want to kill each other, while Kaneki regarded Arima as a father I guess I could say Amon was a friend, both investigators were my favorite in the CCG... just damn it! |

I know but I feel like there has to be some sort of deeper meaning behind it tho. This is Arima we're talking about, the ruthless and unstoppable ghoul investigator who's like #1 in terms of skill. This guy has no emotion whatsoever so would he really be tied down by his emotions and let a ghoul live? As for the whole 'tell everyone you killed me' that's probably because he doesn't want anyone to know about his truth, the fact that he's a whole "demi-human" and what not, which resulted in him dying earlier than everyone else. |
