The 12th Weekly Shounen Jump issue of the year, which will go on sale on February 22, has announced that the manga Ansatsu Kyoushitsu will end its serialization in the magazine's 16th issue. That issue is scheduled to be released in March 2016.

The school action series drawn by Yuusei Matsui has been publishing since 2012. (Debut issue of Weekly Shounen Jump pictured.) It placed first in the 2014 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga is Amazing!) rankings among male readers. The series currently has 17 volumes and more than 20 million copies in print.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu's popular Kyoto field trip story was first adapted as an anime special for Jump Super Anime Tour 2013. A complete TV anime adaptation with a new production team and voice cast aired in the first half of 2015, and a second season began airing this past January.

The first of two live-action film adaptations opened in theaters in March 2015, earning 2.77 billion yen as the year's tenth highest-grossing domestic film according to data by the Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan. The second live-action film is scheduled to open in theaters on March 25.

Well this also happened to be the "important announcement"

Not too surprising imo since it was announced recently that the final arc was starting soon too. I hope they announce the third season this year.

This was expected, since the assassination deadline that was established in the beginning is approaching fast. Also, the events of the manga right now have pretty much been hinting that the end is near. Lets see how Matsui-sensei wraps this up.

Kind of funny how the students had until March to kill Koro-sensei, and this manga is ending in March. I'm gonna miss this.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

It's a shame how they felt hurried to rush the entire last part of the series. It felt super rushed at an extremely unnatural pace for the show. however, it is ending rather well.

The art is a bit more sketchy and unrefined than some veteran mangaka, and personally I like the anime's art much better, but if you get used to it, or like it, reading the manga shouldn't be a problem at all. It's not super heavy on the dialogue either.

If you're just starting out manga, definitely start series you already enjoy. All in all, go for it! If it doesn't appeal to you, you can always try for other series!

I'm really sad to see it go, even though I only started following the manga in 2014, I've been waiting every week for a new chapter, it became the manga that I looked forward the most.
But I know that the end will not be a disappointing one, and this manga will be forever one of my favorites :3
And will also be waiting for a new work of Matsui-sensei ^^
