 It was announced at Comiket 89 that manga Usakame will receive a TV anime adaptation in Spring 2016. Earth Star Dream will voice the main characters. The series is written by Tsugeo Terada (Roots) and drawn by Juuzou Kirisawa, with original character designs by Piyo. The first volume was released on December 12. Not a single word was used to explain who the girl was, as per usual in this series, so I thought it was just some random character. |

| Y'know, Usagikame's tennis club also appeared back in the national tournament arc in season 3 (i.e. episode 11) when they Yeah, I made Teekyuu sound like a real sports anime there, even adding a spoiler tag for good measure. But anyway, even though it isn't a sports anime I think Teekyuu is very much about tennis, since if you think about it, the high-paced back-and-forth really is nothing less than tennis given verbal form. |

| Beyond Chiharafuru we also have Baby Steps which has real high school students playing tennis. The Usakame girls do play tennis of a sort... Teekyuu and Usakame's girls are in high school as well. They are just drawn that way. |
