With all of the cruel twists befalling Sara, it was great to finally see her turn things around even if only for a moment. The Headmistress was surprisingly more compassionate to Sara this episode and Lavinia's father is actually a good guy. |

| Finally, some justice ! This slap was so satisfying, I smiled so brightly. I'm honestly not the type to smile at people's misery but Lavinia deserved it just so much, honestly she'd deserve even worse but the single fact that she got humiliated like that is a pure pleasure. I am so glad her father was smart enough to understand what Lavinia was doing, and also compassionate enough not to let such a cruel thing happen. And is it me or did Miss Minchin herself look genuily shocked, like she actually felt bad for Sara, and looked completely satisfied afterwards but not in the "mean" kind of way, just in the "this awful child deserved it" kind of way ? I definitely didn't expect her to give Sara a choice, she showed a lot of compassion here. You know you've gone too far when even Miss Minchin sees how cruel you are. I also admire Sara, she's a smart child. At first I facepalmed when she agreed to be Lavinia's servant, but then it all made sense. She doesn't let everything happen, she actually fights back, in her own way. Her never getting mad can be seen as a sign of weakness, but it's actually strength. Here, she just showed Lavinia she is the smartest and strongest one. And she's the happiest and most loved one at the end. Living only to hurt others will never bring you happiness. |

Probably due to expanding source material and several cook's being at the kitchen. |
