One day, he gets involved in an accident that has him framed as a murderer. Desperate to save the victim, he sends himself back in time only to find himself as a grade-schooler one month before fellow classmate Kayo Hinadzuki went missing. Let's hope A-1 pulls that Shigatsu quality rather than their lazy and low-budgeted series they've been busting out recently. Unfortunately, I do have a grudge against Tomohiko Itou for ruining the Sword Art Online anime series.

To those who want to know more about the series, I made an alternate synopsis (spoilers present):

Very fitting for a Noitamina show tbh.

I'd like to see them adapt this faithfully and they have plenty of time so I'm confident in this, at least for the time being. The manga has nice storytelling to it.

Edit: kinda curious to see if when Kotetsujo no Kabaneri will debut now. My guess is Fall.

Interesting synopsis. It doesn't reveal too much but sounds promising enough to be interesting. Also, it's going to be on the noitaminA block? Count me in for sure then.

Oh boy, another supernatural 'psychological' anime following a young boy and his newly-discovered powers! We totally needed another one of those.

Anyway, A-1's doing noitamina again.. with the SAO director? I can already see how bad this is going to turn out.

well anime at this point is all generic by ur logic cuz there always "another one of those"

what does the director past work have to do with anything? there are many directors that can make something amazing than something shitty regardless of the source material. thats the second most ignorant thing western anime fans can say.

Melodrama is a large part of A-1's popularity and income, so it's unsurprising that they want to rake in some more cash. I'd do the same thing, were I in their shoes. It's smart.

Overrated and tired. The industry has been milking Tomohiko and A-1 name ridiculously hard of late but i can barely take them seriously at this point and see them as just popular names to attract people and get them all hyped up. Theres nothing particularly special or noteworthy about any of them other than their extended popularity with past hyped up hits and its not exactly like they're particularly scarce these days either. Its just boring seeing them thrown together on these projects and far from a guarantee its going to result in some masterpiece. I mean yeah Shigatsu no Uso was surprisingly bad but hardly a masterpiece. Tanime just no logical reason to expect anything special out of a show some hyped up overexposed writers. Plus I'm sick to death of all this meta anime crap of late. Is the industry so full of cynicism at this point that its incapable of just telling a good old fashioned story without resulting to these gimmicks and tired list of overhyped names? Its just becoming increasingly insulting by the season at least to me.

edit: and from the sounds of it they aren't even writing it at all, its Kishimoto Taku who is extremely hut or miss. It sounds like the anime industry is just so bloody desperate at this point that it will do literally anything to get popular names on a project even if they barely have anything to do withit beyond the crcreative phase and even when its just based on a board game result. Pathetic.

Could not possibly agree more. If this was practically anyone other than A-1 Bland Pictures who for some reason has to do practically everything that could possibly be popular I'd be more hopeful for it. noitaminA has sucked the big one since they became one of the only studios allowed to do anything for it. IMO anime overall has taken a serious turn for dullsville since they and their money first and ego driven ways took over. How easy it is for them to hype people up makes it possible too. Granted its going in Winter aka the time to not give a fuck season pretty much every year but lately that's just been every time other than Spring.

IMO silver spoon started okay but got really boring really bloody fast in the second cour and that was the last A-1 show I could actually finish

Director sounds okay. For one, he directed my favorite episode of one of my top favorites (Episode 2 of Death Note) and said episode is easily my favorite anime episode of all time. Then again, he also directed SAO, which I felt was terribly directed. Script writer gives off a great impression though, so maybe that offsets the SAO feeling? A-1 is so-so. Relatively average hype for this one from me.

Director is a hit or miss to me even he has taken some interesting role on other anime.

Script writer seems to specialized in SoL. Its a wonder how he will fare with supernatural/psychological kind of theme this one presented.

A-1? If this going to be again with beautiful visual and nothing else like SAO, it most likely to be a disaster.
