| The colours and the dancing...this was spectacular! The way the music moves in time with the film and the scenes that take place, slowly building up to the pirate ship. This is truly a masterpiece! 10/10 |

| This was surprisingly cool. The narrative itself is whatever but this is all about the style and mood. I don't think all the visual overlays were effective, and some motions lasted a bit long, but general silhouette aesthetic is really cool. The usage of colour is just impressive, I'm not sure how prominent colour animation as in the mid 50's in Japan, but I'm still impressed. And the moment where the dude was slashing his own guys under the ghost's trick and the white overlay was following his slashes was so cool. I think those white overlay lines where kinda a miss most of the time, but that scene was a hit. I also really liked the music in this, thought it did a great job of capturing the atmosphere. 7/10. |
