I am surprised everyone's comes to this conclusion. Think for a minute use your creative and open mind. ODA certainly hasn't failed us with his unique and crazy story twists in the past and this is probably another such incident and i bet when its finally revealed it will blow your mind. You have to ask your self this. Why in the hell is there a grave there and "who" is in it? It certainly isn't pell cause hes standing over his own grave. So why would they make a grave for pell, if he's alive. Duh! Something else transpired that is just probably beyond your comprehension at this current point in time cause oda just loves to screw with our brains. That is his special talent. perhaps maybe he's framed for being dead? but inst really dead. Or the guy that went up to receive the explosion was not pell. but decoy (although highly unlikely) there is many possibilities to this answer. The story never clearly told you that "pell" got killed and berried. Especially since he's standing over his own grave. In any case we all saw it the explosion literally blew that guy to hell, there is no possible way in hell he could of survived. I refuse to accept that. I am betting its something much more deep and mysterious and you'll just have to continue watching to find out. I know the series doesn't like to kill off characters, i personally like that the characters remain active as part of the main story, rather then just be insignificant for a short time. Even oda develops side characters which is something you hardly ever see in shonen's. In any case the conclusion that hes he was bombed, exploded in mid air and survived hasn't been fully revealed yet so you can't go writing it off like that. |

| Y'know, you don't need a body to make a grave. They obviously assumed Pell was dead and made a grave for him, even though they couldn't find his body (normally, an explosion like that would of disintegrated his body). They could of just put some random belongings of him in the coffin or something. HMM I GET THE FEELING YOU KNOW SOMETHING I DON'T LOL. And you ain't saying anything to not spoil. I got my eye on you lol |

| Actually i don't. Its just a hunch or a guess is all. The grave was actually packed down and berried with a stone like there was already someone inside the grave. So that really threw a twist at me and i was just at a loss for words of what could of actually happen but yet it was never explained. I have a open mind to these things though. Because every story usually always has some kind of solid conclusion and this really hasn't been completely solved yet, so its still up in the air at this point. That is why it had that shocking ending to give the viewer something to ponder over. Don't be surprised, what oda loves to do and has continued to do is give huge cliff hangers that just make you wonder "what the hell" and then won't ever reveal them until like much later in the series. |

| Lol @ how quickly Robin won them over. Co-conspirator of a plot to destroy an entire country and probably halfway responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths? Nah, that's no problem! Anyways, I'm over him bringing back dead characters by this point. It's a kids show after all, can't he have a bit more fun with the characters? |

| why on earth is pell still alive? i say, yeah he is very awsome and everything, but he flew into the sky with a HUGE bomb that covered 5 km, and even so he managed to survive.... wtf?? concluding with this arc, yeah it was very great and that, but it ended with a Great ending, no big losses, as everyone that was important survived... |

| Mixed feelings about all this First off im happy Pell is alive because he was a great character BUT he should def not be alive after that explosion like what is it gonna take to kill someone in this show Second off Nico just joining the crew is kind of random but maybe she will bring in a new plot twist so will see. Its awesome to be watching this for the first time with no spoilers! |
| just chiming in to say i really enjoy nico and her hilarious, nonchalant scheming into the hearts of the straw hat pirates. she's also really mysterious and her story will be another thing to look forward to in this series' building web of possible plot lines. |
| Maybe that wasn't Pell who took the bomb up and exploded, or are they trying to tell me someone could survive an explosion from a bomb with a 5 km radius. Ehh whatever maybe Pell's just really really strong or something. |
| I quite enjoyed this episode, although I can't help feeling Robin is an unnecessary addition to the crew and I don't think she'll fit in well, then again I thought the same thing about Chopper... I liked the conversation Usopp and Zoro had about being the only sane ones, then Usopp is converted by Luffy's Chopper impression, which was pretty hilarious. Also yeah I completely agree bringing Pell back was BS. |

| Bad move with Pell's comeback, not a very good episode overall (I liked the previous one as an ending a lot more). But I am surprised that Robin joining the crew got such negative reactions. It is actually the same damn thing the author has done from the beginning: throw the surprise or the random situation and put it in context later. Remember that scene from Baratie arc when Nami took the Going Merry and left them? It was sudden at that time. But there was a strong backstory to explain it. And Robin is an interesting character, some hints of her backstory were revealed during this arc and her ambiguity was shown a lot in several points of the arc. Remember her gestures while Crocodile was going bastard at the Palace? She is supposed to be unpredictable in her acts, at least at this point of the series. Her joining the crew is an open door for some really nice development, and I liked that, for once, it wasn't Luffy who chose who'd be the next nakama. I think it's a lot more random that Bon Clay helped them and showed gratitude to the point that he didn't care about getting arrested to save them, but oh well, we accepted it for the laughs. |

| This episode was hilarious. The way Robin bribed Nami) That was plain dirty. Chopper impersonation done by Luffy just made my day. Of course Pell is still alive (what can a bomb with a blast radius of 5 km do to a person in its epicenter?). Then again, this is how it was always done in One Piece. No body = no death. And I feel sad about Bon Kurei. He is, without a shred of a doubt, an amazing character. 5/5 |

| okay okay. so many open questions left. im confused.. 1 - how did Igaram survive the explosion at the end of Whiskey Peak arc. 2 - that explosion was made by nico robin. then she left Straw Hats without making anymore damages .. so is this means she has some kind of explosive powers? (like mr. 3 or mr.5) 3 - pell? whaat? is this really logical to survive from an explosion that has normally destry everything in 5km radius? |

| A very enjoyable episode. Made me forget all those feelings about the farewell with Vivi. And Peru is alive. I have thought that this could happen, but I was still pleasantly surprised :) Reminds me of the 'resurrection' of Igaram. Very similar. x_x And Robin is pretty cool. Would like to hear her whole story :) |

| Ha! I knew it! I've seen enough anime to know that Pell couldn't have possibly been dead!! But ouch, visiting your own grave doesn't seem like a particularly warm homecoming :/ Also adored the intro of Robin as crewmember...with her added, you can instantly see a different dynamic slowly building within the Straw Hats. A more calming presence was definitely needed with all those hooligans, I just didn't realize it. Plus, everyone's reactions to her were hilarious. I legit thought Nami was gonna be overly territorial or something, but wave something expensive in her face and the rest is history. I laughed more than I should've at Sanji sliding down the banister, but Zoro's reaction took the cake. He was having none of it! Then Robin smiled and he had no idea what to do XD I honestly think if he stops being suspicious, Zoro and Robin could get along great. She's really mature and classy- Sanji was definitely right when he said she has an adult charm! |
