| I thought this season was gonna be 12 episodes. Is MAL bugged or are there really gonna be only 10 episodes? |

| This site's episode counts are rarely ever bugged(only once ever that I know of so far and that's because MAL was hacked). So if an episode count is changed, there is a reason. |

The reason here is that chapter 34 and 35 of the manga are connected. These are the manga's only two chapters entwined by a "to be continued...". Also, the story told is very dark and interesting! If you want to look it up the chapters are called "The Ragged Road" part 1 and 2. :) Edit: This was meant as a response to the speculation of a longer episode. |
| I read on tumblr something about the official website announcing a change...? I'm pretty sure it's because the season was meant to be 12 episode originally, but all the delays means they don't have the time slot for it anymore because it was only 12 weekly time slots. |

So the stuff we aren't getting (at least not soon) is the Ragged Road story? Damn, with all the hype surrounding that, it's become my most anticipated story to see adapted. Man, I don't really want to wait for the Blu-ray to experience this story & I doubt the manga could capture the atmosphere the anime has. Oh well, as long we'll definitely see it, I won't complain. It wasn't too long ago that it seemed like we weren't even going to get a second season of Mushishi. |

| Eps 11-12 would be on 3rd DVD/BD box. With eps 8 and 9, not as separate OVA. And yes, 12 more eps this Fall(or 11, or 13, who knows). |

Umm there's enough content for these seasons. The manga is 50 chapters long, the first season adapted the first 26 chapters (1 chapter per episode) and the sequel seasons supposedly will adapt the remaining 24 chapters.
