Ah...more training.

Meh, a little strain in Mikage and Hachiken's relationship there. I'm not too worried about that though. Oh shit, I spotted the 'silver spoon' this episode. Awesome. The rage coming from Hachiken though..

Looks like Nakajima is going bananas over cheese.

Oh, Hachiken's ranting over Komaba's bankrupt farm, so where the fuck can he get the money to pay off Komaba's debts?

Great adaption :D
The way they depicted the emotions this ep was really good :*)

And the ending with Hachiken holding Aki's arm saying "Just friggin Drag me in!" was awesome. Hachiken never learns does he XD He's totally gonna overwork himself ^^;

Nakajima sensei's wrath at the start was so lol. He really did seem like a demon XD

The cheese making part was nice ^^ Yoshino is <3

Hachiken imagining the cow he named being felt up by the guys was pure hilarious saying he knows now how Aki's dad feels XD

Again, drama was done pretty well. Loved Aki's metaphor of letting the rein go ^^

Hachiken meeting Komaba by faking sickness was lol and how Komaba told the teacher that he's faking it XD

well good ep. Can't wait for nxt.

Damn this anime is so amazing! I need to start to read manga.

I guess Hachiken can get all of the other students and school to help. If he does he will score big with Aki and her family :D

It's getting more and more serious. And I'm really not sure, what I'd like to see next - idealistic, optimistic ending (saving Komaba's farm and getting him back to school), or just realistic one, where not everything has to be fair and happy.

Welp, they adapted this really well. Although, it's sad that Komaba's going.

But damn, I'm really, really happy that they included the hand grabbing scene in this episode and made it so well. I'm a satisfied man now. -w-

You won't be disappointed.

This episode has a pang of reality that it's hard not to get sad... my dad had to work at a very young age as well because of bankruptcy... this felt all too real for me.

Just... too.. good.

I don't know if Hachiken can do anything about repaying that debt but man, he is right. They are friends and you can't help but worry if you know that your friends are suffering. They should at least let it out and say what they really feel about it.

The feels...

That hand grab though!

This is one of the best anime I have ever seen. It just draws me in every episode & won't let go. Hopefully they will announce a third season at the end of this one. I can't see this anime not doing well in Japan.

Gotta hand it to Arakawa, she never fails to deliver quality writing. A-1 Pictures did a great job here as well.

This episode was brilliant from beginning to end. Started off light with a little pleasant detour into cheese making while hinting at the larger story at hand, before moving into the serious stuff. All the characters' reaction, Hachi's pain at the realization, the emphasis on the hypocrisy of everyone around him...all so,so good.

That ending was awesome. Way to go, Hachiken.

Damn, I never should have doubted Hiromu Arakawa. I really hope it ends well. Does the manga show any signs of an ending?

Also how does co-signing affect Mikage's farm? Do they help pay for the cost or something?

The first year is over in the manga. And I don't think the end is near (at least, I hope).

They have to pay all the debts that Komaba's family can't . Cosigner is an assurance that these debts will be pay by any means.

The writing in the show is so good episode was quite a sad one in how realistic it was shame kamaba had leave and give up on his dreams but it's just how that popular jp phrase goes "it can't be helped".

though i thought this might be a time when Hachiken actually not be able to do anything to help it looks like he won't stop even if hes outsider interested to see if he can pull off

Aargh! There are only three episodes left. I really want to see how this bankruptcy affects Aki's family business, but I'm not sure if these few episodes would be enough to wrap things up nicely. Here's hoping for another season.

God that was great..The writing and tone transition is so flawlessly done, you just can't say enough about it.

Hachiken's slow build up of rage and his outbursts perfectly defined his character. From his perspective, everyone has a dream but him(his last conversation with Aikawa was very important) and he can't stand it when someone faces the harsh reality of their dream because he's scared of eventually having to do that himself. It may come off as naivety and selfishness, and that's probably part of it because he wants to think there's more to pursuing a dream than just that. But I think it's also a lot to do with his heart breaking for his friends so easily. His dream may just be to help people realize their dreams. Guidance Counselor Hachiken anyone?

It seems like a lot of washing up. :p.

Probably the best episode of the whole show. I hope they take the realistic road, they're nothing a regular teenager can do against that type of shit.

Also, Yoshino and Tokiwa is OTP.

"I think I know how Mikage's dad feels" Lol at that whole scene.

They all assumed Tokikawa flunked hahaha.

The second half was pretty sad :(, but that cliffhanger!

This was fantastic!
It started all light with Nakajima the Cheese demon giving a masterclass about the process and hygiene
The newborn cow naming given to Hachiken was nice and the following thinking about her as his daughter was hilarious xD

Tragedy hit hard when Komaba's situation was revealed, reality hits hard when such thing occurred
I've speculated a lot of scenario's, but a bankruptcy wasn't one of them

I hope Hachiken will come up with something, grabbing Mikage's wrist is a good start
Ayame would be nice to have around the school, but Komaba is just too cool to be left out

Sigh, have to wait another week for Silver Spoon

Already put the spoiler tag from the beginning. Mikage and Hachiken getting married was only my assumption as to what would happen since they're the OTP of this series. It's typical for many manga to have a time skip at the end =p

Just so you know
Don't open the spoiler if you don't want to be spoiled (man, do I even need to write this every time I put a spoiler tag?).

I knew something like this was in store. I'm so upset right now, having just finished the episode. The harsh reality and Hachiken's helpless pain made me emotionally overwhelmed I may have cried a little
I really hope they meet again in a better situation, and all the best for Komaba. He has the grit to endure this, but it would be nice if he leans on his friends a little, at least for moral support.

On a happier note, loved watching the cheese making! This is why this anime is brilliant - it educates the audience about these things while making it so much fun. Also, I love how this show mixes the perfect dose of humour with seriousness - Hachiken's 'cow daughter' and everyone's assuming Tokiwa failed was hilarious!

And, they did the thing! They said the show's name in the episode! (It's something that excites me more than it should)

I loved seeing Hatchiken's struggle with whether he should get involved in Komaba's problems or not. From his point of view both him and Aki have kept him in the dark and haven't reached out to him, but he still considers them close friends so he decides to take it in his own hands and go all in! Beautiful!

There was also some cute and educational scenes about agriculture! Makin' cheese, anyone?

Could've used more tender Aki x Hatchiken moments though, like the one on the stairs... T_T

I'd say given Hachiken's education and background (his dad seems like a serious businessman), he might be exactly the right person to figure out how to make things work. Is there really nothing he can do?

I'd say he's also pissed because the people involved aren't practicing what they preach. The advice that they've given him is great, but it must be infuriating to see those same people not following it themselves.
